Lovely ‘new’ (3 years) hotel in St Julian’s on the Balluta bay side Large clean rooms we were a family of 4 The staff were excellent especially the cleaning staff and the staff at breakfast (Sandhu) who remembered our names and what the kids ordered for breakfast and brought it over. We made use of the 3 pools and spa and many of the restaurants which were all excellent

The rooms were amazing, with bright airy spaces and great amenities like a spa and gym. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I couldn’t find a single fault. I had a birthday celebration there, and they left a cake in my room, decorated the bed, and even wrote a personal message. The staff were always helpful, no matter what I needed. The massage in the spa was incredible, and the overall experience was extremely luxurious. It’s in a great location right in the heart of st. Julian’s with easy access to towns and cities nearby too!

The WiFi wasn’t as strong as I would have hoped but as I had data it wasn’t much of an issue for me

We were advised not to drink the tap water by the reception staff. We were provided with a couple of complimentary small bottles of water each day but this was not nearly enough. I really think that there should be a centrally located drinking water fountain to fill up reusable water bottles. Plastic water bottles contribute a very large amount to environmental waste. Would have been nice to have some snacks provided in our room

Mariott Malta is in a great location. Easy to walk everywhere and we had a beautiful view from the 9th floor. The staff was helpful, kind and cheerful/smiling. We didn’t eat that much at the hotel, but the things we ordered were fine. Nothing extraordinary, but not bad either. The room was kept nice and clean. In our opinion it’s GREAT value for money as the rooms aren’t THAT expensive, at least off-season.

The hotel is a bit dated for sure, air conditioning could be newer/refreshed. Amenities are alright but nothing extraordinary. We were thinking wether to give an 8 or a 9, but the value for money was truly great so we decided to stick with 9.

Property was amazing. Staff were super and amenities were great. The spa was really welcoming and had everything you need from a spa. Roof top pool was nice however their pool bar is overpriced so we just brought in our own supplies.

We did not eat there due to the prices and all the restaurants around are almost 60/70% cheaper and the food from all of them is top notch as well as the views so worth checking out Siliema. Also there was zero entertainment in the hotel at night which was disappointing and basically the bar area was like a ghost town, however it might have been early in the season as we went at the start of April 2025.

I had an amazing stay at the Malta Marriott! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers a relaxing atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, exceeding my expectations at every meal. I have nothing but good things to say about my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malta. Looking forward to returning in the future!

I don’t often do reviews but this is the least I could do as I found this hotel and the staff to be exceptionally good and I will keep it short. We spent 9 nights in a club room from 29th Oct to 7th Nov. Every night the general manager Alexander would come and talk to us about Malta and how our day had been, always at the end of the chat he would ask is there anything he or his staff could do for us. All the staff were very helpful, two staff members I need to mention in the Club Room Chrisanta and Ranjan they were always looking after us and giving us advice about Malta and also things like where to obtain a bus card etc. The weather we had during our stay was great 23c most days and a little bit of rain one afternoon. We had a great time and will come back, well done the Marrriott team you helped make this a very good holiday.

Leaving

We spent five nights including the New Year’s Eve. We loved the New Year’s Eve menu, service and activities, which were amazing, far beyond our expectations. Breakfast buffet was very rich and with a high variety of options. The facilities are great and the location is very good to reach easily all island attractions, be it walking, by boat, by Bolt or Uber. Staff was very friendly, available and always there to support. Management including the F&B manager and the GM were always present and checking all the time the guest satisfaction. We had a late flight and have been offered a late checkout which was highly appreciated. Overall it is a property we are highly recommending it.

At times, the heating was inefficient and although this isn’t expected to be needed in a warm weather location, there are instances when you need it. Nevertheless the hotel staff was very responsive to resolve the heating issue, however we believe it is an overall heating issue of the system especially at the building corner rooms.

The Marriott Hotel in Malta truly exceeded all expectations! The rooms are exceptional, combining luxury and comfort seamlessly, with plush beds that ensure a great night’s sleep. The staff are incredibly attentive and super helpful, always going above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The location is perfect, with easy bus access for exploring the island. The spa experience was top-notch, offering superb relaxation, while the beautiful pool is ideal for both unwinding and family fun. Overall, an amazing place to stay that truly deserves its 5-star rating!

While the Marriott Hotel in Malta offers an exceptional experience, there are a couple of minor downsides. With only four lifts servicing the hotel, there can be long wait times, which is a bit inconvenient, though not a major issue. The main disappointment was that children are not allowed to use the indoor pool between 12 and 18 o’clock. This policy feels unfair, particularly during the winter months when outdoor swimming isn’t an option. Despite these points, the overall stay was still wonderful, and the hotel’s many positives far outweigh these small drawbacks.

The staff was just amazing - super polite & attentive! The breakfast was excellent too! And the room - spacious & comfy. The parking is also incredibly comfortable for Malta. The indoor pool was also quite good. Overall, it was quite a joyful experience.

The temperature in the indoor pool & jacuzzi could be just a little higher to be perfectly comfortable for the kids. The outdoor one is not meant to be used for the kids, I guess, during winter time - it was too cold. Overall, it felt that the hotel is more business-oriented, rather than a family-oriented one (no playgrounds or playrooms, pools open for kids during evening hours only, not too many families with kids, etc.). Nevertheless, still a wonderful experience.
