The staff is very friendly and helpful, customer focused. Spa is nice, breakfast good as well

We hated the room - the edge bright red color everywhere was terrible 😫 Room decoration reminded rather of a cabaret or 🎪. Thin walls and get noisy when neighbour rooms watch TV in the middle of the night. Poor equipment room- no relax/sitting corner in the room, only a bed. Cleaness was not to the expected standard. Spa comes with an extra charge of eur 35 p.p. that should be disclaimed by booking in advance when reserving and not left at a surprise.

The rooms are really interesting. Our family had three rooms. All three rooms were decorated differently and they all were very interesting.

The only thing I did not like is that the pool works only until 3pm for kids. This was a disappointment, because we wanted to spend one hour in the pool with my kids after long day exploring the island. Also this restriction was not noted anywhere why we were booking and checking in.

The staff were very friendly and housekeeping was attentive. The breakfast selection was nice, especially the pastries and juices. The room was very spacious with a bed, cot, sofa and big shower room. The placement of the hotel is set back from busy streets so you don’t get much noise, but not too far away that it takes a long time to walk anywhere, apart from the steep hill directly outside the hotel.

The rooms really need air con. Our room was 24 degrees Celsius most nights and we could barely open our curtains during the day because of the heat that came through. The rooftop pool was freezing so we couldn’t use that at all unfortunately. The gym had heaters in so was way too hot to work out. We also only had access to one English tv channel (even that was occasionally in German) which was a shame because we would have liked to watch something in the evenings after we put the baby to bed. Netflix was installed but didn’t work.

The breakfast was excellent. A great selection. We had an excellent and thorough check in. The SPA was superb. As good as we have ever been and the massage was exceptional. Our room was spotless and serviced well. AC worked great 24hr Bar service. We ordered prosecco to the room. The jaquizzi and balcony was just excellent with a lovely view. Everything functioned well and met and exceeded my expectations.

The only thing would be that the upstairs outdoor pool is small but that is evident from the photographs. There were no surprises with this hotel. Will be staying here again and be booking family here. (Need good grip shoes if walking down the little hill to the hotel and around Malta for wet days.)

Everything!! Room was lovely, and the staff were very friendly. We were on the top floor right next to the pool. The breakfast was amazing, as was the pool. It was small, but my daughter and I loved splashing around in it all day. The location of the hotel is down a small narrow road, so if you order a taxi, walk to the main road otherwise they will leave (oops). We had a lovely few days at this hotel and should I go to Malta again, I would definitely stay here.

When I booked the hotel, it was not made clear that you had to pay to use the pool downstairs. We were a little disappointed at this, as this was one of the reasons I booked the hotel (indoor pool - so if it got a bit much outside, we could still swim inside). It would have cost 35Euro per person, which is quite a lot. So we did not bother. Might be advisable to make this a little clearer on booking.com.

We loved everything about it. It’s hidden away, the interior is gorgeous and the staff were really nice. Room was spacious and clean. Was surprised to find a patio with a beautiful view so that’s a plus.

Only complaint I have is the couch looked like it has seen better days as its colour faded away. Also taking a shower was a hassle as water kept seeping out from under the door so the bathroom floor was flooded. Breakfast was really good as well, English breakfast with plenty of pastries to choose from. Couldn’t connect to Netflix or YouTube

Very nice hotel. Colourful and decorative. Hotel is in a very good location. Staff were very friendly and nice. A lovely breakfast buffet with a wide selection. Comfortable bed. Mini fridge in the room too.

The room was very very warm. Even though it is winter the A/C was seasonal meaning it only provided hot air, so no way of cooling the room temperature down. Called reception and asked if it was possibly to change this, but it wasn’t. We had to have the window open for air meaning mosquitos got in which was a shame. Also the sink in the bathroom had a leek so whenever you got close to the sink your left leg would always get wet.

We really enjoyed all the kindness of stuff members, always available to help us and give the right informations. Great attention to the customers! The facilities of the hotel are quite new, providing you an excellent experience. At last, the presence of garage helped us to park easily without spending hours on the street looking for a free parking slot.

There was a problem with the shower, actually it was a problem related to the glass box. Water was flowing under the glass (i guess the silicon was not enough/or too old to block the water flow). Last point the light in the breakfast room were not so bright and warm.

I can't stress this enough, but honestly one of the few Maltese hotels that is the best at hotel industry services. Even when they have interns and trainees, you really notice their passion for providing you the best service with a smile. The rooms are as always in a great state, the design is quirky and colorful and always brings a smile to my face. The beds are great and the bathroom clean. A big plus for my stay this time was the jacuzzi. Holm is the only hotel that I'll actually try to make time for staying at the hotel and use my room and facilities, rather than being outside as much as I can. Room service had left a surprise popcorn bag for my last night and made sure I got notes on cleaning service and other important things if I would have had a do not disturb sign on or was out of the hotel. They do enough to stay involved, without getting too involved which is nice. The night receptionist made me a breakfast package that I could bring with me to my early flight because I would have to leave at 4:30 and not manage to have my last flight. He was also dealing with some super loud guests that night that had the whole hotel awake, managed to fix that and then still did his job with a smile. Also a tip, make use of that spa! It's small but always super quiet and relaxing and the staff there is also, you've guessed it, super helpful. Price quality wise; really worth it especially if you use it for your whole stay. I came back double as relaxed than I was hoping for so thanks again Holm team. You've made my stay amazing again and I will definitely be back.
