Very friendly and welcoming staff. Our flight was delayed but we got checked in without any issues. Even though Hotel does not offer breakfast service, they have a breakfast menu and you can order a freshly made sandwiches, tosts and salads - we recommend the Maltese Platter and the traditional ftira. The building is quite old, but the rooms are clean, all of them are AC-equipped, pretty quiet and the view from the balcony is great. Malta Public Bus stop is right next to the hotel, and Valleta ferry is also close. Excellent hotel for someone looking to spend time out sightseeing or sunbathing (public beach is just across the street). Excellent value for money for couples and travelling without kids.

It's a good value hotel in a convenient location, with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, etc. very close and buses and a ferry across to Valletta and other places you would want to go to. Keith the manager and the other staff were all very friendly and helpful. The facilities were good, though there were one or two small things, like having trouble opening the door to the balcony; it was fixed when I mentioned it, but then it went wrong again! I think the door needed a new lock. Also there was an electric kettle and cups and glasses, but it might be nice to include a few tea bags/coffee sachets, as most hotels do.

The one problem I had was noise. I had booked a room with a sea view. The view was magnificent, but unfortunately I hadn't realised the hotel overlooks a very busy road junction and several open-air seaside cafes and restaurants which are busy until quite late. The noise from very early in the morning was incredible! However - when I mentioned this, they went to a lot of trouble to get me another room immediately which was much quieter. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend getting a room at the back of the hotel, if you're not bothered about the view.

Very clean. Well located, great for walking along the harbour, to St Julian’s, not far from the ferry port etc so perfect location for exploring. Well positioned for bars and restaurants etc too. Staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much. There is a small fridge in the room and the a/c all made the stay comfortable

I ended up asking to be moved to a sea view room, I would say it’s worth it as the first room was dark and at the back of the hotel. If you don’t mind that then it’s fine, but I definitely needed more light! It’s dated - very clean but dated so if you are bothered about having a modern room, may not be for you! But it was comfortable for me!

Clean budget hotel. Sea views and balcony were lovely. The room is very basic - like a private hostel room, but very nicely had a kettle, fridge and air-conditioning. Staff were very kind and let us borrow plates and heat food in the microwave at reception one night. There is a bus-stop very close to the front door where you can get the bus into Valletta.

All of Malta is a bit noisy with traffic. As others mentioned, the sheet covering the mattress kept coming up at the corners.

Bathroom could be improved, some mosquito nets at the windows would be mandatory and the rooms with no sea view have no view at all, the windows are next to the walls corner. Also, they didn't keep my bathing suit that I am sure I left in the bathroom before checking out. Asked for it, they said there was nothing...

I'm a regular at this hotel and have always been very, very happy with all aspects of my stays. The hosts, Keith and Dina, are exceptionally lovely people and I always feel very cared for by them, for which I am very grateful. Even their assistant, Janet, is exceptionally kind and caring. Prices are excellent, cleanliness is perfect, and location is superb. I love Roma Hotel.

May I make a small suggestion? Adding a handheld bidet spray in the bathroom would be a very practical and comfortable addition for guests from different cultures, as many of them don't rely on toilet paper alone

I really liked the location and the sea view. We stayed there for 3 days, and it was enough to see the Valletta city and more nearby attractions. I really loved the Japanese Bakery, that was right next door - best cappuccino I had in Malta. Also a really good breakfast place was right across the street and it had a nice sea view.

What can I say - of course the rooms were not perfect and the furniture is old. But who cares? Everything worked well. I mean I would be a pretty sad person if I let some stains on the bathroom floor to ruin my vacation. :D Shower is maybe suitable for smaller people and you have to use a key to open the fridge. So, haha, if you need to hide your money to a safe place, use the fridge.

The staff were very friendly and the checkin and checkout process was seamless. The 24 hour front desk availability was good too. Rooms were basic but enough if you are just needing a bed and a shower for a few days

Perfect place for a relaxing stay in Malta. If you do not want to ruinm your budget this is the place for you. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Hotel receptionists were very helpful and offering a lot of help and even room upgrade at no costs. Both me and my wife were delighted with the room scenic view and size. It was more than we could even expect. We had a lovely 5 days stay in Roma hotel. Close to beach, close to Lidl :-) close to all local attractions and even better place than Valetta, to be honest. I will go back there for sure. First time in Malta, but will return again for sure. Only the taste of Kinnie is worh visiting Malta again.... :-)

blend or side wall between balconys on the same floor would give more privacy. Not a big broblem, but sometimes confusing to each other....
