Facilities- we requested a twin bed room with sea view and got exactly that. Roomy room with balcony facing sea front.Beds in first room was firm & extremely comfy, second room bed was more spongy. Reception -Easy check-in & check out at Front desk , very helpful. Great housekeeping, again very helpful. Excellent location with busstops and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Happy that I selected this hotel, highly recommend, teeny tiny one off incident is my only negative

1.yes,Work ongoing but noise didn't reach us. 2.Slight hitch-Thunder storm night,wind set off the balcony door sensor .we reported the squealing noise to front desk at 7am, resolved at 9am with change of rooms.Multiple visits to the room by reception and maintenance was unnecessary.Was tired after not sleeping so that really hit a nerve

The Preluna Hotel has so many things to like. Perfect location, close to everything, overlooking the ocean and so many great bars and restaurants to try. Our room was always clean, the staff are super friendly and we are so happy we booked here. Can I just state that one of the reasons we nearly didn’t book here was due to the lift apparently being slow after reading some other peoples reviews. I can 100% confirm the lift is fine and quick enough for what I would expect a lift to be. I never waited more than 30s to a minute tops. Those reviewers who complained about the lift just like to whinge so please ignore these and trust me when I say this is absolute weapon of a hotel with everything you will need to enjoy your stay in Malta.

The only fault would be that at the time we booked we were hoping to use the indoor spa and pool facilities however upon our arrival the room was unavailable for a whole week (the 1 week we stay) so we missed out. I have no issue with the maintenance side of things so all good there but just it would have been nice to know in advance and/or have our total hotel fee reduced to compensate for no access to gym/spa but it is what it is.

Visited Malta again. To watch our son play rugby for Malta . Also visited Senglea and Birgu, my fathers home towns Lucky that Manola Island had an open day whilst we were there The only downside is that there is so much building work going on around the outside of the hotel that it spoils the area . Think the Malta Government should only allow so much to be happening within a certain radius. There was just far too much The hotels building work did not affect us. We had a lovely room with sea view . Great skyline bar view . Outside pool across the road closed but did have a look , it is looking in need of a little TLC . Nice Spa pool . Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful . Food is good in the restaurant, €24 each for buffet meal . Would visit again, but maybe wait until some of the outside building work is completed .

Super hotel with great facilities. I used the gym, pool and spa multiple times on my visit and I would highly rate them. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. The room I was in was newly renovated. I also ate at Sakura their Japanese restaurant twice, the staff where brilliant and the food was delicious.

The noise from the on going building on both sides of the hotel. It starts at 7am every morning and will most definitely wake you up. I am an early riser so didn't impact me too much but did bother me slightly.

The hotel is in a very good location with the public bus stop just across the road. The room was spacious and the sea view was amazing. Breakfast was good and varied from day to day. The staff were excellent and very attentive.

Access to fresh water was limited to the restaurant opening times. The tap water is not pleasant to drink as it is very salty. The lift was very slow and out of order several times during my stay. My bathroom flooded completely everytime I had a shower. Due to this the door was water damaged on the bottom and was difficult to open and close. When the floor was wet it was extremely slippy. The WiFi is poor and doesnt work on the balcony. There is a lot of construction work and there was a huge crane infront of my balcony for the whole week.

All went well except for that we requested a room with a Seaview but did not receive, we had a balcony but it overlooked a sea of buildings, other than that , all was excellent and the staff very obliging and friendly

A room with a Sea view

Great location with beautiful seaside view, no other buildings in front of the hotel. Personel really friendly and professional. I had some problem with my room and they fixed it and made sure I felt welcommed. You can have tasty breakfast on the restaurant balcony with sea view also. Bus stop just next to the hotel. To Valetta via ferry ~15min. I really enjoyed staying there.

Basically everything was right so if I need to put something I would add some cozy chair/fotel on the balcony to enjoy the sea with coffee.

Location and staff

It didn’t have its own pool . I didn’t like that you had to go to the gym to use the pool around the corner. For the price without a pool was abit much. The pillows definetly needed upgrading . They were old and very hard and uneven, as I asked for replacement pillows and they were not any different , I ended up getting bad neck pains. There should be a selection of firm and soft.

Location Was great. It is an old hotel don’t let that put you off. The staff are lovely and amazing.

It’s old

Our room on the 5th floor had nice see view. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Location of the hotel is practical with bus stop at close proximity to the hotel entrance. After checking out, we could leave our luggage in the cloak room while spending the rest of the day in sightseeing.

Fridge in our room was dis-functional and although we reported it next morning, it wasn't fixed during our 4 day stay. Construction sites are currently on the left and right side of the hotel, but we were informed about it well in advance.
