Modern, clean and well located for Cancun airport

Only minor complaint is apparent inability to charge drinks and food to room. Maybe, that was just while we were there. Also, bar staff seem a bit reluctant to give you change when you pay in cash. Could these two things be related?

The Avani Airport Hotel stands out as an excellent choice for travelers looking for a place to stay close to the airport. This discrepancy was most noticeable in the gym and pool areas, which, despite being smaller than expected, were still adequately equipped and enjoyable. The pool, located on the ground floor, provides a cozy spot for relaxation, equipped with a handful of sunbeds for guests. In summary, our stay at the Avani Airport Hotel was very satisfying, with the value and price matching well. The hotel's thoughtful amenities, including the stress-free airport transport and its location near an outlet mall, made our stay not just convenient but also enjoyable.

This hotel is conveniently located near the Cancun airport and therefore is great for a night stayover if you are traveling elsewhere. Rooms are comfortable and have good noise insulation.

It always takes a while before the front desk staff checks you in and you are in your room. It seems their system is slow or they have to go through many steps to get people checked in. After I landed at the airport, it took several phone calls to get to speak to someone at the front desk and then when I finally got a hold of them and requested a shuttle, they said that had to be done in advanced, but the webpage or the booking form doesn't specify how far in advanced, so a big area of opportunity there.

I needed a hotel stay for 1 night in Cancun since I was flying into Cancun, but I was heading to another destination. It took me 11 minutes of driving time from the airport and was easy to get to. The check in was smooth, the room.was clean and exactly as pictured, and all the staff from the parking attendant ( we had a rental car), to the reception to the bartender, waitstaff was all courteous. I needed a last min item I forgot to pack, and there is a mall literally across the street, where I had shopping options. I felt safe the whole time. The bartenders were making delicious drinks, and the morning buffecthads a great selection. I had the pool area to myself as I went for a dip early. It is family-friendly .as well. For a 1 night stay, we had a great time.

Nothing. It met all my needs!

This property was clean, attractive, and comfortable for one night stay before an early flight from the airport. A free shuttle was provided to the airport on the hour. The front desk staff were warm and friendly. There were a few minor inconveniences . For example, we only received one coffee pod. We offered to pay for a second one, but no more were available. I would stay here again if I needed a hotel near the airport. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise. The one real negative was related to the breakfast. When we arrived at breakfast, the host ran our credit card, but the credit card machine would not work. The person said to go and eat, and it would likely be working by the time we were done. After we ate, we attempted to run our credit card again and it still wouldn’t work. The host said it was an ongoing problem. It was time to leave for our flight, but he wanted us to go into the basement level to use an ATM to collect more money. But the ATM wasn’t working. We did not have enough cash on us to pay our bill. It was all very awkward and stressful, knowing we needed to leave for the airport, but we also needed to figure out a way to pay for a meal we had already eaten. Eventually, I went to the reception desk and asked to pay there and for the hotel to reimburse the restaurant. The restaurant didn’t want us to do that, but it was the only option. The breakfast was delicious. It was about $17 a person. However, I would not eat it again, unless I knew that I could pay in cash..

Very convenient hotel close to the airport, they offer free transfer. The rooms are nice and clean, there is a small pool. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety, we ate at the restaurant for lunch and the food was delicious. There is a big outlet shopping mall just in front of the hotel with a food court as well.

the transfer from the airport is very convenient, however it was quite slow, first we struggled to find the van (we had to call the hotel and the driver was just waiting in the van instead of coming to the meeting point that was told us) then we waited more than half an hour for another person who never arrived. All this late at night with a small child.

Being 5 minutes from the airport, you will pay ridiculous prices for a taxi b/c of the monopoly. Also, there are no ATMs at hotel or surrounding areas. Staff was not personable.

Truly a great breakfast. Expensive but lots of fresh fruits and veggies, made-to-order eggs, great variety. Excellent spot for one-night stay if you need to go in or out of Cancun airport and be close by. Free shuttle to airport leaves every hour. We stayed at the City Express by Mariott on our way in and this was a little more expensive but a million times nicer/cleaner with a breakfast that was also a million times better. Would stay here again any time I go in or out of Cancun airport.

Still felt overpriced after traveling around Mexico, but this is Cancun, so maybe I shouldn't have been so shocked by the price tag.

The Staff were pleasant and accommodated us reasonably, holding our bags at no cost. The room was what I asked for. The bed was comfortable, the hot water was clean, there was quiet around the floor, and there was no heavy noise close by the airport. I think we visualized some shopping mall, but we were unsure if it was built or where it was. The hotel offers food, and it has a bar, which is very convenient if you are hungry and want to eat in the hotel.

It was difficult to get out of the garage; there was nobody to open the door, and there was not a good signal when I called the Front desk. I had to wake my friend up to come down to the front desk, which slowed down my time a lot. About 30 minutes later, I had to turn in the rental car. The hotel is beautiful on the outside and inside but not close to the city. It is close to the airport, but to Playa del Carmen by car is about 45 minutes, and to Zona Hotelera is about 55 minutes (mostly traffic).

We loved the size of our room. It was amazing. We also liked the location across from the mall.

We didn't like that the room didn't have fresh towels. When we asked for more towels, they advised that housekeeping was gone for the evening. We woke up to check out and noticed 2 face towels stuck on the door handle. No knock or acknowledgment of them bringing the towels. Floors needed to be swept/mop. When we checked in, there was a room service tray full of old food, we assume from previous guest. It was still still there when we checked out.
