We were there only for one night to catch the bus the next day to the airport, as it's quite near to the bus station from where my brother had to catch an early bus to the airport. The person at the reception was a decent bloke. The room had a balcony. Cheapest hotel available near the Cancun ADO Bus station.

There was only one chair provided in a room for two persons, so we couldn't enjoy a beer on the balcony. The glass door to the reception was locked at around 8 or 9pm when we arrived and so we had to knock and the person at the reception came over and asked why we were there through the glass door, which I found silly, I told him we had a reservation, after which he opened the door. It's a hotel, people come there for rooms, obviously. While checking out the next day day and during key handover, he told me he needed to check the room before I could leave, luckily I had time to spare else I would have easily missed my bus to the airport, which was already paid for the previous day. It took him around 5mins to return and give the all clear. He should have mentioned this little formality during the check in process, so we can allocate time and plan our departure accordingly.
