Location, friendly staff, interior of the hotel (although some renovation needed)

The one very weak point was restaurant. Not professional service, food without taste, served in very poor way. No beer, even if was in the menu and on the promotion poster in front of restaurant.

We had a suite that cost us about $69 Canadian per night. It was spacious, had a refrigerator, and it had a nice large flatscreen TV that we could plug our iPad into and watch YouTube movies in English and news. Also, because the swimming pool was out of order, we got early check-in on the first day at 9 o’clock in the morning. That was great as our flight came in at 7 AM. (No extra charge) Even though they don’t have a pool, (due to construction, temporary) they let us use a sister pool down the street that was very nice at Maria de Loudres. When you stay in the suites, which are right above the reception area, you get great Wi-Fi in your room. When you stay in the other cheaper rooms that are far away from the reception area there is basically no Wi-Fi.(last time we stayed for a week in a room that was cheaper, but had almost no Wi-Fi.)

The bathroom lacked the shower curtain. Also, sometimes it smelt bad. There is no microwave. And sometimes karaoke, would start to to make noise from about one in the morning to four in the morning was quite loud even with the window closed.

Older hotel with alot of charm and cultural history., clean large room, hotel needs update which it is doing. Garden area around pool needs to be cleaned up, alot of dead garden debris, pool is refreshing. Staff very nice, respectful. Very close walking distance to ADO bus station and shopping markets, and places to eat. Spa was really nice.

Our room was on top of the karaoke bar which played quite late into the night.

Staff was very nicea and the suite was okay.

The pool is outdoors so it doesn't have any type of heater, meaning the water temperature will depend entirely on the outside weather. It isn't exactly specified for which means one may not be ready to go to the pool after the beach at around 18:00 and feel the water at 12°C.

I love the location and the Hotel is beautiful full of culture and the art is amazing every where inside and out. I also enjoyed the restaurants, spa, theater and coffee shop that are in the building. The front desk employees were very helpful and nice. Housekeeping was very nice too. I was able to walk to the convenience store and to the Mercado's. I also enjoyed the ADO public transit which was 3 blocks away. I felt safe at all times and I plan on coming back to stay again. Thank you the price was awesome 👍

Nice hotel for the money ! Great water pressure and hot water! Many restaurants within hotel and 2 minute walk! 😎 Súper Helpful Staff ! Older hotel but big pool spa , English speaking staff! Would stay there again! Great Atmosphere , wonderful garden area and relaxing!

Room needs a little TLC ! But for the money great deal!

This hotel and staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The hotel is beautiful and pictures just don’t do it justice. Definitely highly recommend!

The restaurant is overpriced. I ordered the chicken tacos and they didn’t even give me any hot sauce. I had re request a chopped up habanero to help give it a kick The cafe didn’t seem to have much to offer. The food was mediocre. However, they didn’t even have creamer for the coffee and didn’t provide any tortillas for the eggs until we asked. They were friendly, just wasn’t what I would expect for the elegant ambiance. For a short walk around the hotel we ate at many of the taquerias that had exceptional food for way less and they give you much more in proportion.

The location is very central, just a few minutes from the ADO station.

The hotel has some aesthetic details that make it look old. Sometimes the staff did not have much information about how to get to some places, which surprised me as these were common questions about how to get to the parks or Playa del Carmen.

we spend an afternoon and a night, had a breakfast in the morning, before leaving Mexico via Cancun airport. location is great for this purpose, short walk from ADO station. rooms are quite spacious, kids were impressed with the 'decor' of the place and enjoyed the pool very much. the staff was nice and efficient. breakfast in the hotel cafe was good and inexpensive (85 pesos for scrambled eggs with ham+american pancakes).

it could be way nicer with some maintenance.. there is no lightning in the shower/toilet part of the bathroom, there was no toilet paper when we got there, no glass for toothbrushes. wifi only in common areas, not in rooms.

For the location the price was very good. Not expensive. I travel with a teen and 11 year old My kids loved the pool, it has 2 restaurants inside and one outside, right outside at the corner they have a hair salon I didn't checked prices. That bathroom has a good size. They have ac. The beds were ok. Good size. Clean and comfortable. If you just want a place to sleep and don't want to spend much this is a good place with extras pool,restaurants,hair salon,tour desk. Pretty good has a theme of Mayas .this hotel is good for a few nights since it doesn't have fridge were to store your drinks I stayed there 2 nights only so if you are not staying that long this is a good hotel. The people were nice and friendly they helped me to open✂️ some water equipment for my son also on the last day i want to wash my dirty clothes, they dont have washer on site they do have a laundry like 1 block away really close but i wanted to self wash it so i had to take a taxi to a laundry . But overall i really enjoyed been there . For the price! the only thing is that water in shower wasn't that hot. We stayed dic 13-15 We didn't care since it wasn't that cold anyways and cancun is hot ..that water was ok for us it was refreshing but if you are used to really hot water like sauna you won't get it here. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Is not that I didn't like it. I didn't really need it but if it had 1 hair dryer and small fridge to keep our drinks will make it much better. Also they don't have laundry service there. :( I had to take a taxi so If they had some washers on site. That will.be a plus
