I loved the location of this hotel, everything I needed was in easy walking distance, plus it was close to the main shopping area and the beach. The hotel is old, but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The pool area was beautiful and very nice and relaxing. The staff was great, always available to answer questions and deal with any issues (such as my safe not working on the first day).

Due to the age of the property, there were a lot of hard water stains around the sink area and the tiles in the bathroom. There really isn't much they can do about it, and since I live in Florida I have experienced that in older buildings here. Pool water was cold, but I think that had to do with the time of year, and that there had been a recent cold snap.

Lovely hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. The grounds and pool area were very nice and relaxing. There is also an outside kitchen which is handy. The rooms were cleaned every day with clean towels provided if required. There was hot and cold water on tap at reception so I could make my cups of tea or refresh our water bottles and every morning fresh coffee was available which was very good. Watching the turtles near reception was fun!

The bedside lights were actually overhead and bright and you had to have both on at the same time, so if one person wanted to read and the other didn't it was a bit of a problem. We solved this by unscrewing one bulb.

I stayed here for 9 nights and had no issues at all. It's small, quite basic but good value hotel in a great location. It was great to have a fridge in the room for cold drinks. The shared kitchen outside is a novel idea I have never come across before and I saw people making use of it. I only used it to cut up some fruit I'd bought. The pool was lovely. I used it a few times. The location is just great, it's literally about 5 minutes walk to the beach and 5th Avenue, if that. Shops and restaurants on the doorstep. I did not have the breakfast so cannot comment on that.

We stayed here once before and returned for a couple of days on this trip before meeting family at another location. Such a lovely and quaint hotel, perfect location, and our kids loved feeding the turtles! The little balcony in our room was ideal as a little reading spot. Really friendly staff too who helped us with getting some emergency laundry done when we arrived after a very rough journey from London. I also loved that we could reuse/fill up water bottles and the coffee shop across the street serves excellent coffee too.

The pool area is gorgeous, lush and green and a great place to chill out - but the water is very cold.

Great location, very close to the beach and restaurants but away from the noisy area. Lovely swimming pool, great for small kids. It has a large shallow area as well as a deep end for adults. Rooms were clean and the showers had great water pressure and consistently hot water. Being able to use the kitchen in the pool area was a lovely bonus. The staff was super accommodating and helpful, we got lots of great restaurant tips and trip ideas.

Perfect little room with bathroom and right next to the pool. The staff was incredibly friendly at any given time of the day. Free coffee and water at the front desk. Great pool. Great location, quiet but just 2 min away from the hot spot. We ended up extending by 2 nights which was no problem at all. Free parking and luggage storage are super.

Fridge didn't work but we didn't need it but we notified the staff and they tried their best.

I needed to get to the bus terminal early and this made it super easy to arrive on time. The lobby, room and hallway has a massage oil smell that was very pleasant and relaxing to check-in with. The pool created an awesome vibe with the blinking neon lights like an oasis

The reception communication was helpful but I didn't realize there were so many instructions to be passed on. I came in late. Too bad some of the info isn't already in booking.com to help shorten the check-in time

We were looking for a quieter area which was considerably difficult to find in Playa del Carmen, but this place met our main criteria Also, size of the room, location, area, bed very comfortable, were all very good points to highlight.

If I could go back and change something on my booking, it would be the option of removing breakfast, not because was bad, not because it was expensive, but only because there were so many other nice spots where we could have had breakfast around the area.

Hotel LunaSol is a restful place to say, but still near enough to the lively activities on nearby in Playa Del Carmen. It is very walkable to many of the attractions of the beach and city.

Amazing location close to the beach, and to the walking street with bars & restaurants as well as to the supermarket. Super friendly people, from the 24/7 reception to the pool guy. Best value stay in Mexico so far, with a lovely poolside room. Not to many rooms in total, and even a kitchen and water cooler to use. As well as private parking and great wifi .

The showers were cold, but it was 35 degrees so was not really an issue.
