My wife and I stayed here for 4 weeks, so we have quite a good understanding of this place: Positives: - Zazil-Ha is a great neighbourhood if you want to experience authentic Mexico more than touristic 5. Avenida. - Surrounded by great and affordable food options, both restaurants and food stands. Better and cheaper than 5. Avenida options. - Nice pool area. Even though it is not the biggest there are almost always a couple of sunbeds available. - Spacious rooms with good lightning and comfort in general. - Very comfy beds! - Very friendly and helpfull staff. - There is provided coffee, salt, sugar and olive oil complimentary!

My wife and I stayed here for 4 weeks, so we have quite a good understanding of this place: - The neigbouring buildings have many dogs that barks a lot. - The noise from the streat gets right though the balcony doors. So you hear the traffic and above mentioned dogs very clearly. Also during the night. Could be problematic if you are a light sleeper. We stayed on 2nd flott. Could be better higher up though. - Cleanliness of amenities. Almost all towels and bedding have stains on them. Clean, but with stains. - The kitchen could be better equipped. There is only the bare minimum of plates, cuddlery and pans.

The location close to many locals restaurant, the staff is more than great, and it s very very clean

I had a comfortable 7-day stay at this hotel. Traveling alone, I felt completely safe thanks to the 24-hour security. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing great local recommendations that made my trip even better. I also appreciated the secure parking area where I could safely leave my rental bike. The hotel was clean, with everything well-prepared, including fresh bed sheets, clean towels, and complimentary bottles of water — small details, but they made a difference! Considering my experience with other local hotels, I can say this one offers great value for the price!

My room was next to the cleaning supply room, which was a bit noisy during the day. However, there is no noise in the evening

Very spacious room with the essential equipments for the stay! The staff is so nice and helpful. The rooftop pool is amazing! We loved that the location is in a quiet area compared to the Main Street which is the 5th avenue. It’s only a 5-10 minute walk tho, so you’re not far from main attractions. The beach is also along side the 5th street!

A thunder/lightning took down the electricity in the city one night, and sadly the WiFi didn’t get back up the last 2-3 days of our stay. Luckily we had bought a data package for our phones so it worked out!

Staff was super friendly and accommodating, the place was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The beds were huge which was amazing. The location is amazing - not in the chaos of the centre but close to cool bars and restaurants.

Overall not much. The room had a kitchen but no table to sit so adding even a small one would make it more comfortable. Additionally we were told later in our stay that we are not allowed to move the sunbeds next to the pool which makes them unusable for much of the day because the umbrellas will not offer shade. It might seem like a small thing but I would be hesitant to return because of this as it essentially restricts the pool usability. I think a simple solution like adding protection on the furniture against scratching is more sensible.

Staff incredible. Very accommodating. 10 min walk to beach. Right across the street from fresh pressed juice/ fruits, local eats- fish tacos, empanadas, plenty of vegetarian options. Short walk to the popular 5th street (has everything) Beautiful 5 story high pool top. I didn’t drive but wouldn’t recommend using the parking garage, street seems safe enough- a guy got stuck while I was there. -But that didn’t impact my accommodations- room was clean, kitchen had all the basics, bed/pillows comfy. I’d certainly return! I definitely recommend Mare.

Parking garage is very small. However street parking seems fine.

Great WiFi and kitchen facilities. Seems recently built. Great that they're pet friendly and have secure parking. Also walking distance from a great juice shop (Eden) and good restaurants. Close to 5th ave. Management was helpful.

We recently stayed at a really cool place that turned out to be much larger than expected. Initially, we mistook the description of 150 square feet, but it actually converted to 1500 square feet, which was massive. The accommodation featured two floors, our own private sitting pool, and rooftop access to the main roof and pool. The place included a full kitchen, though it had minimal cookware and supplies. This wasn’t an issue for us, as our stay was short. The accommodation was clean and had well-functioning air conditioning, which made it very comfortable. The front desk service and night security were really friendly and great to talk to. They were quite accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.

One minor downside was that the TV unit couldn’t connect to the internet. However, we didn’t call for help because we weren’t there to watch TV and our stay was brief. It also took about 10 minutes of running the shower water to get it hot, which was a bit inconvenient.

The cleanliness was decent, there was a bit of water stains in the ceiling in the closet. Probably humidity in the ceiling seeing as the roof pool was right above us. Also we saw they had repainted certain sections of the ceiling. They offered to repair or move us room but we decide to stay in that room for the time. Overall good value/$. The staff was amazing. I would go back anytime. The location was very central.

This is a very new hotel in a quiet area, close to the main street and close to a parallel street with nice restaurants - not so noisy ones as on 5th Avenue. On a top roof there is a pool and you don't even need to swim there in order to enjoy a quiet time in the evening with a glass of beer. Our kitchen in a room was lovely equipped. Everything was clean, a lot of nice lights etc. Staff is friendly and helpful. Taxi to the ferry or ADO station costs 130 pesos (April 2024). For a stay in a city centre it is really a good option to recommend.

They require a USD200 depo during check in, what forces you to have cash with you, but we didn't have any problems to receive it back. Some people on the reception speak easy English, but still it is enough in order to properly communicate.
