I can't say enough good things about this funky and homey boutique hotel. It's a total steal and walking distance to the main attractions and transport hubs, including posh and touristy Plaza Grande and its surrounds (10 mins walk) and the ADO bus terminal (< 10 minutes, airport shuttle and regional busses). Located in the San Juan neighbourhood (within Centro Historico area), it's a typical gritty, bustling, Mexican, middle class urban neighbourhood, with San Juan park, old church, lots of independent shops and street food vendors, yet inside the hotel is so tranquil. Front desk staff speak English, are courteous, professional, friendly and helpful. The well maintained organic plunge pool is a lovely oasis, and welcome respite for tired legs after sightseeing. The hotel's focus on sustainability and local art is a welcome touch. Reliable wifi too.

Hot water in the shower took a couple of minutes to warm up, but just be patient, it's coming!

Delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, and a beautiful building covered in plants. There is a great restaurant in the building too if you're tired from traveling. Really loved my stay here. A lovely little oasis close to the historic center. Just a few blocks from the main bus station so it's easy to get around from there. I really appreciated the booklets about the city's history and recommendations of what to do.

The block where the hotel is located is a bit unkept (not the fault of the hotel). There is some trash around. But the whole area felt safe even at night. Hot water is not always available.

The housekeeping staff was really friendly. The breakfast and a la carte food in the restaurant were delicious. The excursions that the reception staff offered us were fantastic.

The only bad review was the room that the receptionist assigned us. We stayed at the hotel for 6 days, while other guests stayed at the hotel for a maximum of 2 days. An unwritten rule for every reception is that guests who stay longer and spend more are assigned better rooms. Our room was right next to the lobby and we often heard other hotel guests and staff talking loudly late at night as they passed by our room. There were other rooms of the same category, which guests left the day after our arrival, but for some reason the receptionist offered us a new room 4 days after our arrival. We refused that. We somehow got used to everything, and the Russian guests who were making noise and talking loudly checked out of the hotel two days after our arrival.

Absolutely LOVED this place!!!! What a wonderful artistic boutique hotel! If you are looking for something different and special, this is your place. Luxury comes in many forms. The owners have been REALLY helpful, even arranged a driver with a van for our group for cenote hopping. Rooms are small but beautifully arranged and comfortable. Common spaces are gorgeous. Breakfast eggs individually made. Central location. Restaurant suggestions by the hotel were all delicious. Thank you so much, I hope we can come back some time!

There was a particular smell, probably mosquito repellent, very strong in our bathroom. Our friend’s room didn’t have it. We didn’t care enough to do something to change it, I’m sure they would have fixed it if asked.

The hotel and rooms are beautifully decorated and I loved the little poems (on the wall) and the art. The hammock in the room was a nice touch. The hot shower was very good. Service was excellent and it was great that we could park our rental car in a private secure parking space. The hotel is well located and it’s an easy and safe walk to all the attractions and restaurants. It’s busy around the hotel with lots of traffic and people, but it’s a big city so this is what you should expect and inside the hotel you don’t notice any of it. We ordered a take away breakfast when we left early to visit Chichen Itza. Although we had to pay extra for it, it was very delicious and worth the extra money.

There are a few improvements that would have made our stay perfect. The matras was too soft and we feel like it should be replaced. As others mentioned, there was a very strong not so pleasant smell in the room (Lysol). They definitely used too much of it and the room smelled like Lysol during our whole stay. We also communicated this to the staff as feedback when we left and they said they would look into it.

This was a great little hotel, lots of artwork around the place and you could tell that the owners took pride in it. Our room was nice, we had a family room for four people. I think the extra beds would be fine for kids up to 10yo but they were a bit uncomforatlbe for our teenagers. Breakfast was nice each morning. The staff at the front desk (Edgar) were fantastic, my wife needed a doctor and they went above and beyond to help us out.

The hotel is a 5-10 min walk from the very city center, which is ok. Overall the hotel is nice, but I was expecting more attention to detail in the amenities in the rooms especially because of the price - the door of the balcony couldn’t be closed, although it’s a very safe area, we didn’t feel comfortable leaving it open. Also the free breakfast options were a bit limited imo.

We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay at this hotel. The neighborhood felt completely safe to walk around, and we never felt uncomfortable at any time. The breakfast was quite reasonable, and they even provided a convenient breakfast-to-go option for our early checkout—a thoughtful touch that many chain hotels no longer offer. The room size was more than adequate, comparable to accommodations anywhere in the world. Their parking facilities were secure and very easy to use. The staff were incredibly helpful, always willing to provide suggestions and tips to make the most of our time in Mérida. We absolutely loved Mérida and our experience at this hotel. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, quaint, peaceful and bohemian property without being in any way pretentious. Very clean, comfortable, and sustainability minded rooms with fan and air-conditioning. Absolutely fabulous breakfast and lovely staff; and a really nice touch to have the option of hot or cold filtered water in the reception with a kettle and glasses in the room. Safe and secure property too. I arrived late at night and, having informed the property of my expected arrival time, was very kindly welcomed. The staff also provide delicious juices.

I struggled with hot water in the shower, which was only a problem in the mornings given the weather was so hot and a cold shower midday was very welcomed. I was compensated by the staff though.

The property itself is stunning, with beautiful indoor and outdoor design. The staff, especially the manager, are kind and helpful. The included breakfast is delicious, with many options (eggs with beans and plantains, avocado toast, fruit bowls, etc.) and all made to order. The location is good, a walkable distance to many plazas and restaurants. Beds were comfortable and great A/C. They have a laundry service available at a reasonable price.

There were some issues that are typical to the area especially in the rain season, including occasional 5-minute blackouts, unreliable hot water in the shower, and a bug spotted in the bathroom. The parking lot was sometimes shut and the receptionist had to open it in order to access our car.
