Planning to stay at Piedra de Agua again when we return to Merida! Location is prime, right across from Cathedral on a quieter street. Hotel is a beautiful stunning building with a very fresh interior (impressive green/blue ribbon art installation in the middle of the hotel )and nice pool/back patio with a peek-a-boo view of the Cathedral. Their staff are very inviting and helpful - we were greeted with a refreshing drink upon arrival and they helped get us situated upon our early arrival. Our room was well sized and comfortable for our party of 4 - though no window as the larger rooms are towards the back.

No windows but that cannot be helped given the parameters of the building.

Great location, right in the city centre—lots of activities nearby. The rooms were exceptionally clean and cosy. I didn’t get the chance to explore all of the amenities, but I’m happy with my stay there nonetheless. I’ll probably be back!

The breakfast patio was great, but the choices of what to eat were limited. It's not a big problem — there are lots of great places within walking distance nearby.

The design and ambiance are fantastic. You're immediately transported to the 1940s with a great Havana vibe. Impeccable music and design in the hotel. The staff is excellent, and they're always trying to help guests feel welcome.

Merida is a very, VERY hot city and the common areas of the hotel have no air conditioning, so being outside the rooms can get annoying because of the heat. Also, it's an old building so sometimes smells from the sewage can come up from the drains.

I would live here!!! A converted 1800s mansion with internal courtyard and outdoor patio for delicious breakfast (try pancakes). The location allowed for easy access to the beauty of Merida. The pool is small but delightful after a hot day enjoying the town. The staff were all lovely, thank you all so much for engaging in conversation and making Merida one of our favourite holiday locations. We’re already dreaming of coming back.

Due to road construction there was noise to midnight. The bathroom is very small but has delicious smelling soap. The internet reception was lacking. Not really big concerns.

The best location in town! Hotel is breathtakingly beautiful. We booked a king suite and upon our arrival they upgraded us into presidential suite. It was so beautiful that I will forever be grateful. Breakfast was great. Employees were very nice and friendly.

Water was warm enough to shower but it could never get hot as much as I usually like it. Still, I liked everything and would forever be returning to Piedra de Agua. Thank you!

Great location, great historic building. Understated from the outside. The patio is gorgeous, same with the breakfast/lobby area if you're in need of a break from the heat.

Some rooms face 60th St. which is VERY busy and there's no sound isolation. If you're a light sleeper, you probably need to request an interior room. My bathroom was smallish, but well appointed.

Location is great, a block away from the main church. All the good restaurants were close by. A good combination of contemporary and traditional. Staff was very attentive, rooms were clean. Patio area was great, we spent some time at the pool.

We had to change the room because the toilet in our room wasn't working. But then the mini split on the second room was a bit noisy and took longer to cool the room. That is pretty much it.

Perfectly located to el zocalo, museums, cathedral, and many wonderful restaurants, coffee shops. I highly recommend this hotel. Staff was wonderful upon arriving and greeted up with a fresh natural green juice.

During our stay they ran out of white wine with out replenishing it. Aside from this our stay was wonderful and would return.

Perfect location, just a short distance from all the key attractions, and the staff was incredibly helpful. However, the breakfast lacked variety, and there was no buffet option available.

Breakfast lacked Vegetarian options.

This was my 2nd stay at Piedra del Agua and I'd happily stay here once again. The location is really good in the center of Merida with bars, restaurants and parks on walking distance. The hotel itself is a place of rest and serenity, where you can escape from the busy streets and relax in the marvelous rooms or in the beautiful garden with the refreshing swimingpool. Food options and drinks are great and reasonably priced. The staff is ever so friendly and helpful. Rooms are super clean, have great beds and superb showers with nice honey based soaps and shampoos.
