The staff members were very helpful. The air conditioning in the room was excellent -- very important in Merida! The hotel is beautiful and very well located a couple of blocks off the central plaza. Breakfast is available and was good. The cost for my stay was as expected. The hotel lives up to its description. Clean water was provided. My second floor room was great. The staff immediately fixed my shower-head when it wasn't working well. The concierge secured a taxi for my 4:30 a.m. ride back to the airport. Great city and the international airport meant a non-stop from DFW.

Except for my room, the hotel isn't air conditioned, which is a shame because it was too uncomfortably hot to spend any time admiring the hotel's beautiful structure and tiles. (This may not be unusual for hotels in this city.)

Unfortunately someone open a night club right in front of the hotel (how it’s possible it’s the historical center of the city in this state??? The governor's son?) Anyway you will not sleep well until 2 AM. Maybe now this hotel better for party people? For us it was ok, but it’s really loud! Please tell to your staff that some guests could sleep in the morning (8-9am) and they should be more quiet with cleaning, repair things etc. Thank you.

The hotel Reforma is central position in the walking distance to the main square with a lot nice restaurants and cafes around. The hotel is former hacienda.

It was very noisy in the room due to very thin walls between rooms and isolation of windows too. It was possible to hear the phone call or music of your neighbour like you are living together.

Fantastic location, and very neat hotel architecturally - colonial style with courtyard, tile floors, neat details. EXCELLENT VALUE - there are no private rooms in this very central, cool area near the price I paid. Bed comfy and toiletries provided and staff very helpful. I would stay again.

My actual room was just OK (no exterior window), my room was kind of hard to find and the water pressure was not very good in the shower. AC not super powerful (it was October, HOT outside), but OK. These took off one star for me. I did check in late and probably got the last available room.

Very central location, easy to come with car (parking in front of hotel in city parking lot for 50mex/day) Nice inner yard, looks like old times fancy hotel but now a bit worn. Comfortable beds, got thin duvets (not just bed sheets as usually in other hotels).  Shower was look warm.

We got room to opposite side as the street, so no street noise. But next to our window, hanged AC motor, which was quite loud

The location was excellent, right in the middle of the centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful with arranging taxis. The building is older but not too rundown. The room was spacious and clean. The shower was hot which was a real bonus. There was a fully functional A/C and a ceiling fan, so no worries about being too hot. There was a clean looking pool but we didn't use as it's winter and the pool is in the shade.

Some of the other guests were really noisy between 1 and 3am. Having quiet hours and enforcing them would help.

A beautiful, old building, comfortable rooms, great value for the money. We extended our stay another 5 nights. The location is handy to the square, lots of restaurants and bars.

On your list of facilities, it stated on site laundry, there is no laundry here.

It's a beautiful old building right smack in the centre of Merida. You can walk to many restaurants, the cathedral, shopping and the parks within a few minutes. The room was large and clean.

The internet worked well only in the common areas. We also heard a lot of noise until late, but staff was kind enough to ask us whether we wanted to have a balcony toward the street, or preferred a quieter room in the back of the building. The room key comes with a huge piece of wood attached to it, too big to fit in anyones pocket.

Really good location, close to everything. They were kind enough to give me the corner room with a huge ceiling and little balcony. Good stay, they constantly asked me to me if I wanted my room cleaned, helpful when I locked myself out of the room. They have breakfast available every morning although I didn't eat there.

Comfortable beds, great location, close to Centro, lots of restaurants close by.

Be nice if there was a coffee maker in the room, and a small fridge, maybe, but can't say we disliked anything.
