The building is quite astonishing and great. A classic place if you want to be part of Mérida. Rooms are quite big compared to other hotels, as well as spacious and comfortable. It is definitely a plus to have free parking considering that many hotels don't. Note: There are some reviews saying that it is a little bit noisy... Yes, you may hear certain things (e.g: people talking on the street far away), maybe a bus, a car... But it is not a serious problem. Maybe during weekends, it is noisier but the days I stayed it was not a prob

The elevator is quite slow. I understand: it is an old building, maybe they are still adapting certain things, but I went to this hotel in 2023 and today (June 2025) the elevator is the same... It needs an update. I can't imagine during the main season, summer, etc. Since there's only one elevator. PLEASE La Nacional: Take care of the image you want to give to your customers. One day you left one towel which was a little bit old... not dirty or teared up, but there were some threads coming out from the border of the towel. Be more cautious with the cleaning service. They do a great job every day, but there was one day I spent all day outside, and when I came back to my room I noticed the bathroom was not done... It was exactly as the moment I left in the morning.

The location is excellent- right in the middle of everything. The is building probably more than 100 years old, but everything has been refurbished. The high ceilings, large windows, and the overall size of the room were very nice. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Though we were on the third floor and we could hear the live music from a restaurant below, the band stopped playing about 10:30 p.m. I wish we could have stayed more than one night. I highly recommend it.

This may not apply to all travelers, but we arrived by car during evening rush hour, so we needed to unload our baggage quickly at the front door with our hazard lights on. We received help from the porter and then he rode with me to the hotel's safe (and free) overnight parking lot, which is three blocks down the same street. Nothing about that unloading and parking experience was bad, but I do think you might want to mentally prepared for it if you, too, are arriving in a vehicle.

Location is outstanding...just a block from plaza grande where there were many interesting events in addition to the permanent attractions there. We got a quiet room, which was great. Bed was super comfortable.And we enjoyed sitting by the pool open to the sky. People at desk were helpful in answering our questions and booking taxi back to airport.

Shower wouldn't provide hot water unless sink tap ran for five minutes. Someone came our first morning to show us that trick. Downside of quiet room was no windows. But as already noted, we could sit by the pool with blue skies or stars above. Artificial lighting in room wasn't great due to LED lights located in very high ceilings. But there were bright lamps at the nightstands.

The location was superb with restaurants, bars, shops, and a small plaza a few steps away. The main Plaza and Cathedral is one block. The room was large but sparsely furnished. My room was interior opening onto the coutyard and was really quiet - no street noise. Good black out curtains. Wifi was good - I could do a Zoom meeting. The room was really inexpensive.

When I arrived they assigned me room right off the reception area, up some strange steps. I said I couldn't do that room and they did give me another. I had chosen the hotel for its elevator. I wish they had a deadbolt or even a sliding lock on the door in addition to the door knob lock opened by an old time room key. I would have loved some kind of decoration on the plain drab walls.

Great location, right in the centre of Merida. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The handle of our bathroom came a bit lose our first night, the owner made sure it was fixed the next day. We requested a quiet room and they made sure we were given one. The service in this hotel is excellent, I can very much recommend.

There was no ventilation in the bathroom and the windows couldn’t be opened so the room smelled a bit after 2days. We could only vent the room by leaving the door open for a while while we were in the room which is not ideal. Would be something to improve upon.

The hotel is centrally located, right on the square (this does mean a lot of noise at the weekend if you're in a square side room). The hotel was very clean and rooms were cleaned daily. Our bedroom had a lot of space. Free drinking water is provided and the staff were very kind to let us use their fridge. New water bottles were provided in the room each day. The pool is small but nice for a refreshing, quick dip. Good value for money.

The location of this hotel was perfect - only a few blocks from the main plaza. All of the staff were very friendly. Jorge was especially helpful and friendly. On Monday morning, we wanted to leave early to get to Chichen Itza and the parking lot wasn't yet open. The staff was so nice to have someone go open it for us before their opening hours! We made it to Chicken Itza right as it was opening to avoid the crowds.

Great value hotel, clean, super comfy bed (one of the best we had during our trip), professional and kind service. Parking was free and is 3 blocks away but someone accompanied us there and we were able to unload our luggage at the hotel beforehand. Beautiful room with king size bed and view of the cathedral. Great location 1 block from the central plaza.

It was quite loud from the street noise but not a problem for us. Would stay here again.

We were allocated a room overlooking one of the city's main thoroughfares for the first night but found the traffic and nearby-bar noise too loud to sleep soundly. However, we asked if it was possible to move rooms the next morning and the reception staff were very accommodating, moving us to a room in a much quieter location, so well done! It also had two double beds, rather than one, which was nice. The only downside was a less-than-efficient shower which failed to direct a consistent jet of water. Overall, a pleasant five-night stay in a brilliantly-located hotel only a block away from the city's main square with all its attractions.

The location was great, right in the center of Merida. The room was big and the two beds we had could easily accommodate 2 persons each. It’s nice that the hotel also has a small pool and the price was good too.

By far, the worst part is the street noise. You can hear quite a bit through the window and we sat at the 3rd floor. The good part is that the loud music from the bar below and the street chatter die out at around 21:30-22:00 (but we stayed during weekdays, idk about weekends). Other than that, the shower could have a bit more pressure, but that is nitpicking.
