It was located in the middle of the main strip of Merida so we hardly needed to take an Uber or DiDi. The staff was great but Enrique and Josephina were both kind, professional, courteous, responsive when we needed help! This is truly the hotel to stay at if you’re looking to have an unforgettable experience in Merida.

The shower didn’t have hot water the first night but we told them the next day and the staff had hot water pumping through our shower. You will need to have the shower run for a good 5 minutes before you begin to feel the water getting warm.

I liked that the 2 guys who served us in the Lobby were very attentive to the service, the food was also delicious and the facilities were very clean, the place is very central and is super accessible to everything.

I cannot rate it with excellence, since in the Lobby, the girl who served us was very curt and did not make us feel as comfortable as the guys in the Lobby, they were very friendly. We also did not like that we saw that the others did. They gave their pre-tour at the hotel to show the facilities and they didn't. They left a note that they did not have hot water, this was not a problem, however they should repair the problems as soon as possible.

The staff at Holiday Inn Express in Merida Center very kind and helpful. My daughter and I had a terrible experience with our AirBnB reservation that forced us to leave our reservation late in the evening and quickly navigate finding a comparable space during a very busy tourist season in Merida. Holiday Inn Express was resourceful, flexible and incredibly accommodating and found my young daughter and me a room to stay - thank YOU!

Unfortunately, due to the fact that we traveled to Merida during a very busy tourist season, Holiday Inn Express was unable to find us an available room so that we could stay two consecutive nights, but it is okay. Holiday Inn Express was available and flexible during a pretty stressful moment - imagine not having a place to stay secured, while traveling abroad and with young kid(s) - and for that I am grateful.

There were several shops and restaurants near the hotel, which we liked. We had expected the rooms to be smaller, but they were spacious enough. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, which we preferred to a bathtub. The breakfast area was on the small side but otherwise met our needs. Overall we had a comfortable stay.

The lobby was very small and functional, the reception desk still has COVID-era glass shields.

The breakfast was very good as well as the pool which is properly mantained. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Location is right in the middle of the city, easy to reach also via publica transportation.

The fact that we only got one room key since they had them out of stock made it difficult to go up in the elevator since you need the key to activiate it, so it was not great for families with differente activities.

The breakfast was better that what you normally get at a hotel were there is no restaurant. There were a variety of food items from which to select. I liked the hours for which the breakfast was available. The staff frequently replenished items during the available hours. Hotel location was outstanding, within walking distance to many Centro attractions, which there were many-shops, parks, cathedrals, restaurants.

Since items on the breakfast buffet were not labeled, did not know what some of the items were . The food was never hot, it was always warm. Signs about cleaning and covid protocols should be updated. Ex. Sign in room says cleaning every 5 days. Room was cleaned every day, this was great but wasn't clearly communicated

the parking was a problem, the previous experience, my vehicle was parked. This time, I was asked to go park and the road was blocked, then I had to be relocated to a farther parking area, that was a bad experience, as I was already too tired.

The facilities were clean and very nice and the location was great. The staff was very nice!!!

The fact that they gave us only one key because you need it for the room (to have electricity), but you also need it for the elevator

Hotel is located in center of town where most historical and cultural attractions are within walking distance. Also excellent eateries are located nearby.

The Breakfast is really good it is a complete breakfast with protein, fruit, vegetables, coffee and juice. the location of the hotel is just in the Merida city center you can reach any tourist place walking.

The time waiting to do the check in could be better.
