The beds were comfy and clean. Breakfast was 10/10 super delicious. Staff were really nice, Jessica helped me amend my booking when I made a mistake, also, she let us check in and take our beds when we arrived early in the morning all tired from a night bus. Overall a really nice hostel, very good location too, close to the main square.
The bathroom. The shower's water pressure was really weak. Toilets are in the same airspace with everything else so you can literally hear and smell someone else's business when you're showering or washing your teeth. People kept leaving the bathroom door so you can then smell everything from your bed really fast. The dorm was also kinda noisy and loud with so many people staying there, slamming doors and being loud late at night.

This was a breath of fresh air. The front desk person was incredibly helpful, and the staff in general were wonderful! It was an interesting place to stay, with a mix of folks sharing bunkbeds and looking for more privacy. The facilities are cute and nicely decorated. The breakfast was great and filling! They had a solid enough variety to compensate for the lack of an egg dish. I'll take quesadillas and beans any day! Though it was a bit challenging to get up to our room on the second floor, the front desk person, Aaron, helped with our bags. We also loved the balcony, though we didn't use it as much as we would have liked. It's also a 5-10 minute walk to the downtown area, which was perfect for us since we also don't mind walking a bit. Overall, we loved this place and would be open to staying here again.
Getting to our room was a bit of a hazardous trek, especially on a rainy day. The ladder that leads to the second floor is a bit wobbly, and you're not entirely sure it can support your weight. The bathrooms in the common space were out of commission and clogged up. Not sure what that was about, but my understanding was that they were working on the plumbing. I also remember the mattress being harder than the average hotel. Not sure what that's about. My wife also mentioned that the room was not as clean as she would have liked. She found long hair on the walls and on the floor. Overall, though, we had a pleasant experience and would 100% stay here again.

The breakfast was really nice and diverse. The kitchen is very well equipped and everything was clean. The beds were also comfortable.
Unfortunately there was only one toilet in the dorm. So sometimes when it's busy in the morning you have to wait.

A good-sized, doublebed room with shower-room ensuite and a large semi-private terrace. It had no wardrobe space beyond a few hooks and hangers. But very comfortable overall for our 7 day stay and toiletries were included. The shared common spaces were tastefully decorated in a colonial style building, with tiles and high ceilings in the room, and stone interior walls with lots of greenery in the courtyards. The kitchen and facilities were well equipped for meal preps and the daily breakfast was simple but with fresh ingredients and attended by lovely staff! The trio at the reception were really friendly, and very helpful and patient with our questions! This is a quiet place, lights are dimmed at 10 pm. The location in Centro is perfect, walking distance to most places of interest and the bus station for Progress.
The lack of coverage over the common spaces during rain.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, and it's just a short walk from the Cathedral and the central park. The included breakfast was quite good, with fruit, bread, and a variety of other options. The bed was very comfortable and cozy. The accommodation is set in a charming colonial property full of character. The staff service was top-notch, very friendly, and attentive.
The bathrooms and rooms need renovation. The pool was not as clean as it should have been—too many leaves from nearby trees fell into it, making it almost unusable.

Probably one of the best hostels I've ever been to! It's absolutely beautiful! It's absolutely clean - they have wonderful professional staff and the ladies have been working as a team together for a while. They have social events! We did a cooking class together! One of the volunteers have incredible Spanish lessons. They have a pool! They have 2 beautiful kitchens! And the staff is so mellow, kind and enjoyable. It's social without being a party hostel. They have women only dorms! And ...the absolutely best breakfast I've ever had at a hostel. Perfect place to stay!

This hostel exceeded my expectations. It is located in the owner's grandmother's beautiful, colonial house. It felt and looked very homely, with lots of outdoor / open plan spaces, inc 2 kitchens, 2 dining areas, TV lounge, lush garden space, with a plunge pool and hammock area. There is even a large tortoise! All this makes for a very friendly, sociable hostel. It was very well run, with clear house rules, very clean and well organised. A very generous, delicious, freshly prepared and varied breakfast is served everyday, which can include cereal, yogurt, toast, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, a Mexican dish, fruit juice, hot drinks and pastries. There is also free water. I initially stayed in a ground floor 4-bed, mixed dorm room, which had a private bathroom, ceiling fans and air conditioning. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. Towels and toiletries are free. The room and bathroom had a window, so was bright and airy. Lockable luggage storage was under the beds. Each bed had a privacy curtain and shelf. I shared the room with a bloke who snored, which could still be heard with ear plugs! I then changed rooms for a 6-bed female dorm room, but regretted my decision, as the room was a lot smaller and lacked windows, plus the bathroom was super tiny! There was also a female that snored louder than the bloke! The hostel put on a Mexican cooking class, which only cost MXN50. Guests were shown how to make empanadas ... my favourite. However, I read the hostel's online message too late and missed out on this activity, which proved to be very popular with other guests. The hostel is located on a quiet road. It is a very short walk to the ADO Bus Terminal and the main plaza.
Perhaps also put up a written notice of any cookery classes taking place.

What a gem this place was to stay in. A combination of hotel and hostel but with a lovely hostel vibe with lots of international young people mingling in the 2 well equipped kitchens making supper and snacks. As a pair of active seniors we enjoyed being surrounded by all ages. The room was comfortable, well equipped and cleaned daily. Our patio was a delight to relax on. The living and public spaces were scattered over many levels with lots of seating in nooks and crannies among many lovely plants and trees. Breakfast was good, not outstanding but perfectly sufficient. The staff were more than helpful. Checking in and out was easy. The location is central, about a 10 minute easy walk from the Plaza Grande. Restaurants, cafes and convenience stores fairly nearby. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
A little bit more variety with the breakfast, but not a deal breaker. If you have difficulty with stairs make sure to ask for a ground floor room.

Gorgeous traditional house, with lots of different high-ceilinged rooms and beautiful furniture and ornaments/decorations. Like a large historic family home (which I think it is!), and the owner is a lovely and welcoming. The location is good - 5/10 mins walk from the main square but far enough away to be chilled and quiet. The free breakfast was awesome and changed daily, the ladies that work there to clean and cook were really charming :). The dorm room was decent in terms of space with comfortable beds and large under bed lockers, the bathroom was kept clean and was in good condition. Wi-Fi was good, and there are 2 large kitchens for guest use
The downside of the property being so beautiful and traditional is that noise sometimes travelled as the whole place is tiled and has old wooden doors - our bathroom door closing made a booming sound that easily disturbed other roommates. The majority of the hostel is also built around large inner courtyards which, as we were still in rainy season, were often pummelled by rain so everything was wet, including a lot of the seating/dining area. The small dip pools looked a bit dirty and weren’t very inviting, and the resident turtle didn’t seem to exist. The male reception staff were sometimes a bit too chill, our bathroom sink was blocked and after telling them nothing was done, I had to ask the cleaning ladies a couple of days later

We stayed in a private room in this hostel and it was the best of both worlds. Staff was super nice, breakfast was yummy and there were some activities offered (eg. Empanada class for 50 pesos). Nicely equipped & great amenities (kitchen, room, common rooms). We booked a parking space through the hostel for 100 pesos/day which was across the street, so very convenient. Just be mindful that they lock it during the night, so if you want to go in/out you will have to ask the staff for the key during the night.
For us it was not really relevant as we did not use it but the pool is a bit small and not that inviting.
