Excellent location in the centre of Merida, just a few blocks to the Zocalo and walking distance to many great restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Large room with very comfy beds.

Walls appear a little thin, wouldn't have been a problem but we had noisy neighbours! (not really the hotels fault, just unlucky I guess!) The overhead fan didn't work, it's nice to have air circulating at night without the need for aircon. The hotel did lend us a floor fan to compensate, so all was well.

Our room off the main lobby was spacious and charmingly authentic/old-fashioned. High ceilings with A/C & ceiling fan helped with the heat. The small pool is always in the shade and was actually quite cold, probably warmer in summer. We were there in February.

The water pressure in the shower was not much more than a dribble and required about 6/8 minutes to get shampoo and a little conditioner out of my chin-length hair. A friend was staying in one of the other, newer rooms, so after the first day, we used his perfectly functioning hot shower instead of our own. It’s hot in Mérida, so showers are frequent. Also, the lighting was very dim in our room unless we opened the doors or large wooden shutters, which had no screens.

Gorgeous place, well located, safe location, lovely staff, great value, cute little pool, powerful air con and ceiling fan.

The acoustics are kind of scary. I was safe and felt safe but with two doors to my room (the end room by the pool), the one at the back combined with the lack of sound proofing (just noise from neighbouring room and pool area) felt (but there wasn't) like movement in the bathroom and in my room. Also, I don't think the comforter is washed regularly. It was dirty--that, or it is very old. I didn't use it. The lighting could be better.

The hotel is very well located in the center. Room was large and comfortable with high ceilings (even though it is a new build). Staff were able to arrange for bag storage and an evening shower before our night bus (for a fee) after checkout. We weren't very happy with the bag storage originally, which was on full view behind the front desk (not always supervised), but they hid them more discreetly after we asked for this.

The view from our room was of a parking lot so we left the curtains drawn for most of our stay and the bathroom was so small that it was difficult to close the door once in there.

Big room, two large double beds. We were both sick and so it was perfect for rest. Sheets were great too and pillows.

Toilet was too close to shower room door when you opened it. You sort of had to squeeze past it to get in. Pool water looked very grubby. Didn’t go in.

A very nice place. Courtyard room so no noise from the street. And the location is fab. 2 blocks away from the zocalo and a mercado on the same street by the church with great food. Also had a water dispenser: cold and hot

Well the WiFi was down for the 3 days I was there. Nothing the staff could do about it but not ideal. Thank goodness all parks have free WiFi which works a treat

the bathroom needs a toilet paper holder. leaving the toilet paper on the floor next to the shower gets it soggy and is not very hygienic. There was only 1 hand towel for two people, we had to ask every morning for a second towel. The pool is not properly maintained as the pumps are not running often enough and the pool chemicals not frequently distributed. We saw only once that there was some maintenance done. I have a pool at home and know how much work it is to make sure the water is safe for swimming.

Staff and Location was great. Can't beat the value

Having to park in the hotel next door was an inconvenience because of the grumpy of man who works as security for sure hotel. This guy was rude from the moment he approached, made me feel very unwelcome

Victor and all his staff went the whole way to make us feel welcome and comfortable the whole of our two weeks at the hotel. Great location close to the action but not noisy. Breakfast and free parking at the sister hotel next door. Pool was very small but welcome. Public areas were preserved in the high open ceilinged style of traditional Merida houses. This boutique hotel is a little gem in the centre of a busy city. Any time we needed something it was done fast and willingly. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Merida and return here ourselves.

Would have liked more poolside seating, safe in the room. fridge in the room, upgrade to bathroom shower.

Excellent location in the centre of Merida. The staff was very helpful and kind. The room (in the modern building) was very spacious and clean (the cleaning lady passed every day to clean and tidy up). Very comfortable bed. Great value for money, compared to other similar type hotels in Merida (it is not a luxury hotel it is a simple town hotel and that is my criterion for my rating). Parking also was very convenient (100m from the hotel).

The air-conditioning was not working properly (the temperature was very low and could not be adjusted). The "swimming pool" is super tiny and the water colour was not very appealing, similarly the area around the pool is quite small and not really inviting (I would not choose this hotel if I would want to spend my time around the pool).
