As everyone else says the staff is excellent. The riad is traditional and that's exactly what I was looking for. Inside you feel safe.

As a solo female traveler, If you venture out at night for an activity or excursion, You will be dropped off after dark with a 20min walk through the medina after all the shops have closed. There are little to no street signs, and with the shops closed, no visual markers to guide you. Also google maps does not work well in this area. I attempted to call the riad to see if someone could meet me to guide me back but no one answered and I became hopelessly lost. So the reminder of the time I did not go out at night.

Really excellent location right next to souks, large bedroom with additional bathroom/shower with TONS of hot water, and massive bath! , fabulous decor, lovely rooftop with pool and seating (though being March we did not get much use from this but must be lovely in summer). Comfortable and clean beds and towels etc. Towel dressing gowns were a bonus. Heater was much appreciated! Julie and other staff very helpful and responsive to queries in advance as well,.Always someone there. Communal areas clean and bedroom cleaned well after previous guests.

Bathroom a bit smelly (suspect thats same for all bathrooms in Marrakech!)and lighting in bathroom very very dim . Breakfast needed options other than jam and bread and banana/strawberries (alternate days): Perhaps a wider range of fruits? or the fabulous local yoghurt/kefir, or boiled egg? or avocado which are cheap? Overheard other people asking for something other than sweet jam - so not just me! However staff did very kindly gave me a bowl when I brought my own yoghurt for breakfasts after first morning. Downstairs bedrooms in the Maison D'Or are right next to breakfast tables so noisy in morning. Fortunately we sleep soundly and rise early but best to book in adjoining part of the hotel or an upstairs room if you want peace past 8am.

This is an authentic Moroccan riad with stunning interior decor, which is truly amazing. The bedrooms are arranged on three floors around a central courtyard and our family group really enjoyed the experience of staying in a traditional riad. Sadly we did not have sufficient time to take full advantage of the roof terraces and it was a bit too cool for the pool. Our host, Ali, was friendly and courteous and dealt with our requests promptly, nothing was too much trouble. He arranged for a guide to take us on a walking tour around the central area of the medina and souks, which was great fun and really helped us to get our bearings and learn about the history of Marrakesh. Although fairly chaotic, the area around the main square is brimming with merchandise and numerous small workshops, which are fascinating to see. Once we had got used to bikes and mopeds, weaving their way past us along the narrow alleys and streets, we loved the atmosphere of the place. A visit to the vibrant and beautifully manicured gardens of Jardin Majorelle, just outside the old city walls, is a must and contrasts beautifully with the bustle of the inner city.

We found our bedrooms a bit cold in the evenings. The cats, which sneak into the riad at any opportunity, kept us awake one night with their wailing.

Maison Do is absolutely amazing. A wonderful place, super cozy. Our room was big, perfectly clean and totally equipped. The staff made us feel 100% welcome and help us with all our needs. Ali was super nice in helping us settling while Hafid made us experience a touch of real Morocco bringing us to a traditional hammam with her, and showing us how it is normally done by locals. It was a unique and incredible experience totally recommended! Also, after that, she agreed to make us henna under our request, that resulted incredibly well done (we got compliments for that from many locals in the days after). Finally, she spent some times with us, teaching us a bit of arabic! She was amazing. Overall, we totally recommend Maison Do as place to stay in Marrakech and we will definetely be back there if we appen to be in Marrakech again!

Abdu was excellent first class anything we needed help with or wanted he was always there to help. All the staff were very welcoming and pleasant nothing was ever any trouble,Abdu recommended where to eat and where to go.

The area where Maison Do is very central but right in the middle of the Medina my daughter felt a bit threatened by the young men always calling out to her when we were going out anywhere.

The riad is away from the busy souks but only a few minutes walk from most of the attractions. The staff were all amazing, very friendly and keeping it spotlessly clean. Breakfast was simple but good quality. The roof terraces and the pool were a great place to relax and unwind away from the bustle of the city. Big thanks to Julie and Ali for a great stay.

The classic riad layout and being on the ground floor meant that it could be noisy at times.

The riad is situated in a tranquil area, which is only a 12-15 minute walk away from the main square. This is a great advantage because you can rest in a quieter area, yet still remain very close to the center. Ali, Yolande, Ayat, and Hafida have been extremely helpful with their advice and recommendations. We had dinner at the riad for two nights, and the food was fantastic, especially the beef tajine with prunes and almonds. The area surrounding the riad is popular and local, so bear in mind that it is not a luxurious place, but it is a great way to experience the city's authenticity. If you are looking for luxury, it is recommended to stay in the fake and new outskirts of the city rather than the medina. Thank you for everything, we definitely plan on returning in the future!

Beautiful decor. Spacious enough for 3 people. There is a swimming pool which is amazing if you come during hot summer months (we visited Marrakesh in July). Located not very deep in medina. You can arrive by car and walk a bit (watch out what medina door you enter, follow the instructions from the riad). Ali is very helpful. Breakfast is on a terrace outside. We loved our stay.

For some reason they did not clean our room one day and did not give us fresh towels. There was no soap or shower gel, but we brought our own anyways, so not a big deal.

One of the best Riad we stayed in Marrakech without exaggerating. Julie and Ali were welcome us and even though we had to leave early morning before even the breakfast starts - Ali had prepared everything and wanted to make sure we enjoy our breakfast before our long way to Fes. Attention to detail even on towels, bedsheets everything. Speeches of this staying - we loved everything! Delicious breakfast as well and super close to the famous square.

A lovely place to stay while in Marrakesh. The staff were very welcoming and happy to assist throughout our stay, Owner Yolande arranged a taxi to pick us up from the train station, was there to greet us and gave us advice on good places to visit. She was very obliging when we wanted to extend our stay, including juggling rooms so we could be accommodated. The riad is lovely, in a good position right inside the medina and is beautifully decorated...you really know you are in Morroco! Breakfast was great and attractively served. We totally recommend staying here.

Was a bit tricky finding our way back on the first night in the dark. We recommend taking a couple of photos of signage on the route out so you can get back easily.
