The riad was beautiful and the service was outstanding. Youssef and his team could not have done more for us. They ordered taxis and guides for us, escorted us to where taxis could wait. They advised us on what to visit and made sure we were safe and did not get lost. Our suite included 2 bathrooms and a lounge area. A delicious breakfast was served in one of several dining areas. Homemade yogurt and fresh squeezed orange juice were served every morning and the coffee was really good. Again, outstanding.

We can not think of any negatives.

Everything! We are a mother and daughter travelling together. Welcoming hosts and team where nothing was too much trouble. An upgrade to a superb suite of rooms. Excellent breakfasts and choice of authentic Moroccan food for an evening meal. Our evening meals felt like a private dining experience in really beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The finer details of refreshing mint tea with meals, on the roof garden or in the rooms. The roof garden with plenty of seating and loungers. There are tables for dining. The log fire in the dining room at breakfast and evening meals. The hosts', Yousef and Mohammad, support to help plan visits, how to use the apps, helpful suggestions regarding culture and getting the most from our stay. The ease of airport transfers organised by the team. The ease of booking a professional guide to show us around Marrakech and the souks. Ryad Esmeralda is a very beautiful building, ideally placed to easily visit sites and souks on foot. Lovely fresh linen and beds made each day. A hidden gem and a truly memorable winter break. Close to the centre but tucked away from the hustle and bustle. An oasis of peace and calm. Highly recommended.

A True Moroccan Gem Our stay at this traditional Moroccan Riad was absolutely unforgettable. The combination of authentic charm, warm hospitality, and modern comfort made it a perfect retreat. The rooms were beautifully decorated in true Moroccan style, and the rooftop terrace offered stunning views of the medina. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home, offering excellent service and helpful advice and booking to everything we needed and wanted to do for exploring the area. A special mention goes to YOUSSEF the manager of Esmeralda, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He assisted us with all our bookings, made reservations seamlessly, and went out of his way to ensure everything on our trip was perfect. His kindness and genuine care truly elevated our experience! The breakfasts were delicious, featuring local specialties, and the peaceful atmosphere was a welcome escape from the busy Medina. If you’re looking for an authentic Moroccan experience, this Riad is an incredible choice. We can’t wait to return!

Great location in walking distance to everything we needed. We had a suite. It was big and nice. They actually had an elevator, witch we had never seen in Marrakech before. The breakfast was nice, the staff was friendly and helpful. We also order lunch to the rooftop. Great food. We can highly recommend this Riad inside the Medina. We have been in Marrakech several times, and we would love to go back to this riad. Thank you!

It was nothing to dislike

The service was wonderful. We were completely taken care of and not only were all needs met and exceeded, but the staff were ahead of our needs and provided us with guidance to things we did not even realize would be options. The room was enormous and elaborately decorated. The location is tucked away off the main street to provide a quiet, peaceful space for our stay. It was walking distance to all the main attractions we wanted to get to and the couple further things were easily reached with help from the staff. Can't recommend them enough!

The sauna in our room was not working, but it was not a big deal for us, would just been a plus. And the air conditioner went down for us the first night but the staff immediately had a repair person in fixing the air conditioner.

After a day of exploring, coming back to the Riad Esmeralda was like returning to a peaceful sanctuary. Our stay at Riad Esmeralda was truly exceptional. Mohamed and Youssef provided excellent service throughout our visit, always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were incredibly accommodating and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The riad itself is beautifully decorated and the rooms were kept very clean, with great attention to detail in maintaining the space. The balcony and pool were also lovely! Breakfast each morning was a highlight— a delicious traditional Moroccan breakfast that was the perfect start to our day! The location is fantastic, within walking distance of all the main attractions, and surrounded by lovely restaurants! I would definitely recommend this riad to anyone visiting Marrakesh.

The property was in an excellent location, only a 10/15 minute walk from the Souks and the main square but in a quiet neighbourhood. There were excellent restaurants near by to eat and we felt very safe walking around the area at night. The staff at the Riad are extremely helpful. Upon arrival Youssef downloaded a map to our phones that could be used without internet connection and put in all places of interest. When arranging our tours they were very helpful organising our pick ups and drop offs and no ask was too big. The rooms were beautiful and the rooftop terrace where breakfast was served was lovely.

We stayed here earlier this month and it wholly exceeded our expectations. The riad is breathtakingly beautiful, work of art in itself - we felt like royalty staying here! The rooms were spacious and elegantly decorated, breakfast each morning on the terrace was delicious and the pool was perfect after a day in the 40 degree heat! Mustapha and Abdul Jerry were so kind and helpful and made us feel at home - they were always on hand if we needed anything and made sure we came home safely to the riad every night. The Riad itself is in the old town, within a neighbourhood that would be ‘the real Marrakech’. Its about a 15 min walk to Jema Al Finaa Square, with lots of restaurants, shops and spas, ATMs and friendly neighbourhood cats just outside the riad. We could not have asked for a better stay and cannot wait to return. Thank you to everyone at Riad Esmeralda!

Our stay at Riad Esmeralda was incredible and exceeded our expectations. Youssef and Mohamed made us feel so welcome and their hospitality was truly exceptional. Youssef met us on our arrival and assisted in booking tours, taxi journeys, and recommended places to eat and visit. The riad was breathtaking, beautifully decorated with an idyllic terrace where a delicious breakfast was served (our favourite was the homemade yoghurt). The rooms were clean with comfy beds. The location was fantastic, within walking distance from the main square, which allowed us to be fully emersed into the Medina! We highly recommend Riad Esmeralda!
