We had a wonderful stay at Riad Emeralda. Our host, Youssef, was fantastic – very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We had arranged an airport pickup, so finding the riad was easy and stress-free. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a refreshing Moroccan tea, which was a lovely touch. The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely amazing – fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented each morning. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Riad Emeralda for anyone looking for an authentic and warm experience in Marrakech.

A couple of small areas for improvement: the pool could use a bit more cleaning, and the shower could be upgraded for better water pressure and temperature control.

The riad was beautiful and the service was outstanding. Youssef and his team could not have done more for us. They ordered taxis and guides for us, escorted us to where taxis could wait. They advised us on what to visit and made sure we were safe and did not get lost. Our suite included 2 bathrooms and a lounge area. A delicious breakfast was served in one of several dining areas. Homemade yogurt and fresh squeezed orange juice were served every morning and the coffee was really good. Again, outstanding.

We can not think of any negatives.

Overall our stay was wonderful! The location allowed for easy walkability, the decor and riad was beautiful and quaint, and the daily rooftop breakfast was great. Youssef made himself available with excellent responsiveness and communication to help as needed. He also coordinated some local tour, personal drivers and transportation to the airport and Casablanca.

Keep in mind, the main communal areas of the Riad do not have air conditioning. There is a single unit in the main bedroom (but not bathrooms) that staff turn off during the day. This is typical of most so not a fault, just a reminder because it takes a bit too cool down after being out in the heat all day.

Probably the most amazing place I have ever stayed! The Riad was absolutely stunning, spotlessly clean with comfy beds, effective air con, but naturally cool as well. We had the room next to the pool and we loved just being able to step out of our door and take a refreshing dip. Wonderful breakfast served on the roof terrace. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, it didn't matter what time it was, they were always attentive. They organised a trip for us to the desert for a camel ride and a short trek in the Atlas mountains, which was a fabulous day with our own guide. Thank you all so much for a fantastic stay.

The fact we had to leave

Where shall I start? Everything was perfect. Before arriving I already got recommendations for parking, which was very helpful for the first day - knowing almost nothing. Parking is just 5 minutes by walk. The room was cosy, clean, quite and had the right touch of oriental spirit. I slept very good and comfortable in my bed. AC is not too loud. All the service by the staff is friendly, supportive and fast. There is a 24h support - whatever you need or want. To the heart of the medina is only 10 minutes to walk - but don’t mind, its always exiting to walk trough the bazar.

Staying at Riad Edmeralda was one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives. From the antique tiles, carved doors, painted walls and the Art Deco furniture it was like walking into a magical world. Youssef and Mohammad plus everyone else were kind and helpful, they all went above and beyond what is normal now a days so we could have a wonderful holiday in Marrakech. Tours, cooking classes and private drivers were arranged nothing was a problem. Plus excellent breakfast on the rooftop over looking the Medea. We were sorry to leave. Absolutely we will return as Morocco, it is a fabulous country and Marrakech is its jewel.

Great location in walking distance to everything we needed. We had a suite. It was big and nice. They actually had an elevator, witch we had never seen in Marrakech before. The breakfast was nice, the staff was friendly and helpful. We also order lunch to the rooftop. Great food. We can highly recommend this Riad inside the Medina. We have been in Marrakech several times, and we would love to go back to this riad. Thank you!

It was nothing to dislike

Everything! We are a mother and daughter travelling together. Welcoming hosts and team where nothing was too much trouble. An upgrade to a superb suite of rooms. Excellent breakfasts and choice of authentic Moroccan food for an evening meal. Our evening meals felt like a private dining experience in really beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The finer details of refreshing mint tea with meals, on the roof garden or in the rooms. The roof garden with plenty of seating and loungers. There are tables for dining. The log fire in the dining room at breakfast and evening meals. The hosts', Yousef and Mohammad, support to help plan visits, how to use the apps, helpful suggestions regarding culture and getting the most from our stay. The ease of airport transfers organised by the team. The ease of booking a professional guide to show us around Marrakech and the souks. Ryad Esmeralda is a very beautiful building, ideally placed to easily visit sites and souks on foot. Lovely fresh linen and beds made each day. A hidden gem and a truly memorable winter break. Close to the centre but tucked away from the hustle and bustle. An oasis of peace and calm. Highly recommended.

We liked everything!

A True Moroccan Gem Our stay at this traditional Moroccan Riad was absolutely unforgettable. The combination of authentic charm, warm hospitality, and modern comfort made it a perfect retreat. The rooms were beautifully decorated in true Moroccan style, and the rooftop terrace offered stunning views of the medina. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home, offering excellent service and helpful advice and booking to everything we needed and wanted to do for exploring the area. A special mention goes to YOUSSEF the manager of Esmeralda, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He assisted us with all our bookings, made reservations seamlessly, and went out of his way to ensure everything on our trip was perfect. His kindness and genuine care truly elevated our experience! The breakfasts were delicious, featuring local specialties, and the peaceful atmosphere was a welcome escape from the busy Medina. If you’re looking for an authentic Moroccan experience, this Riad is an incredible choice. We can’t wait to return!

The entrance lane doesn't compliment the premises, although this is shared access .some renovations going on at adjacent building.some signs at entrance lane would be good.
