Such a fantastic stay from the moment you walked in, a lovely warm welcome greeted with a traditional tea and sweet treat, very calm and relaxed. Provided with a map of the area and details of site seeing areas, a transitional stay which is what we wanted. Two terraces to also sit and relax. Everything was very well maintained. Our suite was amazing, traditional and everything we needed. Large comfy four post bed, plenty of space to hang up clothes, living area with sofa and table and an amazing large bathroom. Breakfast was served before 11am and you ordered when you were ready, stating where you would like to eat which was then brought to you. The location was perfect for everything you wanted to see as well as plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars just a short walk away

We were extremely well received at Riad Mur Akush. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcome and taken care of. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to help us — whether it was preparing a delicious breakfast outside the usual hours or sharing thoughtful tips and recommendations about the beautiful city of Marrakech. The atmosphere of the riad is warm and charming, which made our stay even more special. We truly felt at home. We definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the city and would love to come back in the future!

I believe the entrance to the riad could be a bit better signalized. I got lost on the day of my arrival (my fault), but fortunately, some children from the neighborhood kindly helped me find the door.

The hotel is in a great location. It is simple to walk to most of the attractions around Marrakech and we had the staff meet us on the road to make sure we didn’t get lost finding the place. They cooked us a delicious and home cooked meal, although it was a little pricier than expected. The staff made sure we were well taken care of, helping to coordinate travel guides and airport drop off. The rooms are large and well taken care of and it was lovely being able to eat breakfast on the roof. We would highly recommend staying here in the future.

The WiFi was a little spotty in the rooms but it worked well in the courtyard.

Decent enough Riad. After five times in Marrakech one gets to appreciate some things. It had a very good shower with hot water under good pressure. Beds were comfortable and the place was clean. The terrace allowed for some rest with a cup of mint tea. Decor and ambience were average, but if you are not spending much time there it doesn't matter. Breakfast was standard, but the coffee served was very good, as was the orange juice. The access is probably worth highlighting as it can be reached almost to the door by a taxi and you can grab a taxi outside. It has an excellent hammam almost next doors and it is stone throw away from the suks and some great restaurants (Maison Arabe, Jardin de Lotus) - booking advisable! Initially I thought the price is a bit steep for the place but on the whole I would recommend.

Every bite was delicious, and it set the tone for a truly special stay. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and exceptionally comfortable, providing a serene retreat after exploring the vibrant streets of Marrakech. The riad’s atmosphere was peaceful and inviting, making it the perfect place to unwind. Overall, our experience at Riad Mur Akush was unforgettable, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be returning!

Riad Mur Akush is perfectly situated in the heart of Marrakech, enabling the exploration of the bustling city by foot. The riad serves as a calm and homely base allowing you to relax after a busy day in the city. The room is spacious and has anything you would need, including an excellent shower. The view from the rooftop terrasse is breathtaking especially at sunset/sunrise. Exceptional is also the treatment by the staff, who helped us in any way they can: giving advice, organizing taxi, being flexible with breakfast wishes... A special thanks goes out to Ali, who's hospitality made our stay feel like we are staying at a good friends home rather than an impersonal hotel.

Location is great, it is an easy walk in to the center of the medina, to museum Dar el Bacha, to the Secret Garden etc. You can also walk to the Majorelle Garden and Madrasa Ben Yussuf. There is always staff around and the hotel feels safe. The airport transfer arranged by the hotel is quick and on time. Room is warm thanks to the AC, and the terrace on top of the house is great for breakfast at sunrise or just hanging around. Friendly staff.

Personally I would have liked a variation of pillows, now I had many but of the same size. On the other hand I never asked, so don't know if any other sizes were available. The breakfast was very focused on carbs and sugar, and I cannot really eat too much sugar. When asking I got a small omelette in addition, but to thoroughly make it healthier seemed a bit hard. But all these things are just minor details.

We enjoyed our stay at Mur Akush. Our room and bath were both large and very comfortable. Shower was great; plenty of hot water and NO spillage all over the floor. Bed was very comfortable and wifi worked great. The staff is awesome! They were kind and welcoming and met all of our needs. Breakfast was really good. Lastly, the location of Mur Akush is excellent for getting into the souk and also an easy walk to Jardin Marjorelle.

No TV in the room, but that's a minor complaint

We found the property was very well maintained and with excellent decor. It is very well located for souks and other attractions and yet so peaceful. There is a choice of patios and extended roof top providing good view of the city and surrounding mountains. We were served with a sumptuous breakfast everyday and other requests were very well catered for. We would highly recommend this riad. So grateful for kindness and care shown by Mustapha, Mohammed, Ali and Zahra. Look forward to seeing you all soon.

The family owned riad is traditional with many original features. The roof top has magnificent views to the Atlas mountains. The location was fantastic, next to a local souk used by locals. It was a 15-minute walk to the souks of Marrakesh. The Kasbah was 25 minutes’ walk where you can visit Saadian tombs and Bahia Palace. On the way you can walk through the garden of Koutoubia Mosque. Jardin Marbella was 15 minutes’ walk away. From the car park at the back of Koutoubia Mosque you can meet the free shuttle to the Anima Gardens which is around 45 minutes away. The House of Photography and the Secret Garden can be found in the souks both within a 30 minutes walk, assuming you do not get lost! Lastly, 2 minutes away is Les Bains d` Azahara, a traditional Hammam, spa.

We were not unhappy with anything, if I were to change one thing it would be the breakfast. Not because it was not good, but a traditional breakfast comes with a variety of breads which I am not really into.
