My partner and I spent a few days at this lovely riad, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. While it was a bit tricky to find initially, GPS stops you before reaching the riad in the heart of the medina, once we figured it out, it was absolutely worth it. The riad is a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling streets. The cleanliness was impeccable, and our room was in perfect condition, cosy, and well-maintained. A special shoutout to the lady cleaning the rooms, who did a fantastic job and ensured fresh towels every day. The manager was incredibly welcoming, always ready to help, and it was a pleasure chatting with him during our stay. Breakfast was great, delicious, and with a variety of options. It was slightly different each day, and while we had better breakfasts in other riads, it was still a fantastic way to start the day. Highly recommend this peaceful retreat for anyone looking for an authentic, comfortable, and memorable stay in the heart of the medina!

The riad recommended the "Spa Ô Yin De Jade," but for us, it was a massive no. Unfortunately, we felt it was a waste of money and didn’t meet our expectations at all. That being said, our stay at the riad was still amazing, and if you skip the spa, you’ll have a truly wonderful experience.

Very good value for your money. Rooms were very clean and just like the pictures. Smail and Fatima were very friendly and ready to help whenever you needed anything.

Only downside was the airport shuttle being rather expensive (€25), however I would recommend to book it if you arrive in the evening so that you don't have to find the riad on your own. On the way back we booked a taxi for €10 on booking.com.

In addition, the breakfast was also very good, featuring traditional Marocan bread, a delightful selection of sweet jams and egg. What truly sets Ryad Penelope apart, however, is its staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by incredibly helpful and friendly manager who went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfect. His warm hospitality and attentiveness added an extra layer of enjoyment to our time at the ryad. The ryad's location, combined with its great facilities and exceptional staff, made for a truly memorable stay. Whether you're seeking a tranquil escape from the bustling streets of Marrakesh or a convenient base for exploring the city, Ryad Penelope is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and welcoming experience in the heart of Marrakesh.

The Riad is beautiful but what really made the experience was Smail. He is the most kindhearted person, and always ready to help. Unfortunately, I got sick with food poisoning after visiting a restaurant in Marrakech, and Smail helped me so much. I can’t put in words how much grateful I am for all his assistance. I will never forget!

It’s a small, clean and quiet, rather modern riad in Medina. We had the queen deluxe suite (Hibiscus) which is a large and very nice room with a/c, coffee machine and capsules. Its private bathroom has ventilation, a hair dryer, toiletries, towels & bath robes and cotton buds. We liked breakfast very much because it was rich and tasty. We greatly enjoyed the rooftop. There are sunbeds, coaches, and coffee tables between, both in the shade and in the sun. The vivid green plants embellish the sight. The staff was kind and helpful. Laurent welcomed us both politely and friendly, offered us a map and pointed to the main sights. He was caring throughout our entire stay. Thank you for informing us we need online reservation for Jardin Majorelle! We appreciate the time shared with Smail, smoking, drinking coffee and talking about Moroccan culture, education and social life.

Location could be a plus, but also a minus. Even if it is in Medina, it’s a bit far away from the main square and difficult to find. To a European, the area might seem scary, especially at night. Winding through a labyrinth like life journey, causing problems to Google Maps, the streets are safe and there are no rats, just cats!!! We didn’t like the humidity in the riad. There is a small pool on the ground floor but it’s design only, you can’t use it.

This was the best of the Riads that I stayed at in the Medina. The room was cozy, great shower, and a comfortable bed. Smail was so accommodating and helped me above and beyond during my night there. Very much enjoyed & it is a central location in reaching everything in the Medina, but in a quite alley.

It was incredibly difficult for me to find this Riad. Google maps was incorrect and only placing me right near Riad Nomads. I only found it with the assistance of a local man. If using Google Maps, take it to Riad Nomads, and then continue straight down the alley and take a right, then left and another right to the end to reach Riad Penelope.

Smail the manager & the staff were superb. We were so well looked after. We travelled with our parents in their 80’s & everything was done to ensure they had a great stay. Smail was super & he went above & beyond for us, he also organised a tour give by the amazing guide Josef… highly recommend. Great breakfast, lovely bedrooms& bathrooms had lovely towels & well stocked with supplies.

Very nice decorated room with comfy bed and very clean. Delicious breakfast. Very in the center of the medina with a lot of restaurants and shops. We were welcomed very friendly with tea. We felt very save and like at home. The staff was very helpful. Thank you!
