Our stay at the Riad Sofia was delightful. The staff, Abdo and Chikhe were extremely helpful, informative and constantly good natured. From the moment everyone got there they sat visitors down, helped them download map apps so that you won’t get lost, what to look out for, what to pay and even where to get our wine. The Riad itself was very central, extremely pretty and very peaceful with a rooftop terrace where we could drink our wine and relax. Overall our experience there was wonderful and l found the Moroccan people to be extremely humorous, friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly recommend Morocco and this was a great place to stay.

I would recommend Riad Sofia to anyone planning a stay in Marrakech. The property is in an excellent, central location, but surprisingly quiet once you’re inside the Riad! The Riad was beautiful, and the breakfasts delicious (you must try the Moroccan pancakes!). The staff are lovely, friendly, incredibly hard-working people, who make you feel so welcome and that nothing is too much to ask. A special mention also goes out to the wonderful human being that is Abdou, who is an absolute credit to the Riad Sofia. Abdou went above and beyond what would have been expected of him to ensure that my friend and I had the best holiday, and as two women on our own, it felt very reassuring to have him help and advise us. Thank you to all the staff at Riad Sofia who ensured that my friend and I had the most wonderful holiday.

When we first arrived, my friend and I were quite shocked by how the mopeds drive so fast down all the narrow streets and you feel like you’re going to be run over! But just stay alert and you will get used to it!

Our stay at Riad Sofia in Marrakesh was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Sahid went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was always available to help, offered great recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed. His warmth and hospitality made the experience so special. The riad itself was beautiful and peaceful, a perfect retreat from the busy streets. Breakfast each morning was a delight – fresh, varied, and served with such care. The rooftop was a lovely spot to relax. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend Riad Sofia to everyone!

The riad is located in a prime location. Close to the airport and close to the souks. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and pleasant. We could practically walk around Marrakesh staying here. The morning breakfast was nice but less options which is fine. The security is good. The room was cleaned and the Riad well maintained. The terrace was really nice.

The bed was making a sound which after a day or two became a bit irritating. Also the rooms are not sound proof so do not expect to sleep longer because if there are other loud guests having breakfast you will wake up. Even though Marrakesh is not extremely cold the room is not insulated so in case you need more blankets ask for it.

Very high standard of cleanliness and friendliness. Great location not too far from the souks. The sunny roof terrace is a relaxing place to plan your day or reflect on the experience. In the bedroom the bed and pillows are really comfortable. The bath gel and shampoo are quality products. The hamman and massage were professional and a real treat. The cooking class was a terrific highlight for me and the finished meal delicious. A big thank you to Abdo, Said and the other staff for the welcome and advice during my visit.

The riad is great but the souks are a maze. It’s very easy to get lost. That’s not the fault of the riad and after a while the geography gets easier. The staff will give lots of help finding your way.

Beautiful building,full of character, genuine Moroccan architecture,we felt like we were in one of those 1001 nights stories.... being December we didn't expect to feel so cold in the room so we needed an extra blanket and put heating on as windows and doors are not insulated or double glazed😉.... breakfast could have been a little richer, with more choice and better organized but it was delicious, we loved the freshly squeezed orange juice and fig jam. Situated in the heart of Medina, close to all sights, the souks, Jemaa El Fnaa famous market square we felt like locals.

A few issues with the hot water, breakfast wasn't well organized

Location is perfect to move around the entire relevant places in the city by walk. The staff very helpful, kind and proactive. A special reward to Abdul and Said who were always welcoming and supportive to any needs. Breakfast more than satisfactory with good choice and very big portions both local and international. Fresh orange juice every morning was a plus. The Sofia gives you the real taste of Marrakech with beautiful decoration and interiors. The Riad provides also airport transfer on request. The quality/price is great. We could leave our luggages after check out and we were also offered an extra complimentary "leaving tea".

Some guests, I'd say, unrespectful were smoking in common areas (which are relatively small and, being a courtyard inside the Riad, it's difficult to change air). Also, guests talking loud after 11.00 pm shouldn't be permitted.

This place exceeded all expectations. From the second me and my brother arrived the staff were nothing short of amazing! We were greeted with traditional tea and a full layout of Marrakech. Where to go, what to do and what to avoid. The rooms were clean and the Riad was beautiful. Even on our last day we needed to check out at 12pm and had no where to go all afternoon before our flight home. We went for lunch, came back and asked if we could relax at the Riad.... Their response was "our home is your home" and we were able to chill on the stunning roof terrace until it was time to leave. I would recommend to anybody travelling to Marrakech to book here.... We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Riad Sofia. We really cannot fault this place and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakesh. Firstly, the location couldn’t be more perfect if you want access to the busy hustle and bustle of the Souks but also want a quiet and peaceful location, where you can feel at home and escape the busy streets. The Riad itself is beautiful, the beds are incredibly comfortable, the rooftop perfect for a laze in the sun and the indoor plunge pool is a really special feature. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff- they made us feel welcome the minute we arrived, serving us fresh mint tea and a delicious, fresh breakfast every morning. We would not hesitate to return.

It is really a lovely RIAD, inside narrow street well cleaned, with plants and many lovely cats. We have breakfast and dinner as well, really good and cheap. the staff very friendly and professional like everyone, everywhere. the location is really 50m from the main meeting point for any excursion. It is really close to the many attraction point, walking you can reach the secret garden, to jemaa el fna square (honestly I didn't like particulary and i don't love see animali trated in that way). to reach this place you can do it walking and sorrounded by many tipical shops

nothing in particular to sign about. you need to just remember you are not in London or any other wester city, i say this because few people concerned about many staff, my opinion, it is the essence of travel and see the difference around the world.
