Our stay at the Riad Sofia was delightful. The staff, Abdo and Chikhe were extremely helpful, informative and constantly good natured. From the moment everyone got there they sat visitors down, helped them download map apps so that you won’t get lost, what to look out for, what to pay and even where to get our wine. The Riad itself was very central, extremely pretty and very peaceful with a rooftop terrace where we could drink our wine and relax. Overall our experience there was wonderful and l found the Moroccan people to be extremely humorous, friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly recommend Morocco and this was a great place to stay.

I would recommend Riad Sofia to anyone planning a stay in Marrakech. The property is in an excellent, central location, but surprisingly quiet once you’re inside the Riad! The Riad was beautiful, and the breakfasts delicious (you must try the Moroccan pancakes!). The staff are lovely, friendly, incredibly hard-working people, who make you feel so welcome and that nothing is too much to ask. A special mention also goes out to the wonderful human being that is Abdou, who is an absolute credit to the Riad Sofia. Abdou went above and beyond what would have been expected of him to ensure that my friend and I had the best holiday, and as two women on our own, it felt very reassuring to have him help and advise us. Thank you to all the staff at Riad Sofia who ensured that my friend and I had the most wonderful holiday.

When we first arrived, my friend and I were quite shocked by how the mopeds drive so fast down all the narrow streets and you feel like you’re going to be run over! But just stay alert and you will get used to it!

From the start the communication with the Riad was excellent offering airport taxi service, day trips and massage. Through our whole stay, Mustafa could not have been a better host - he was friendly, professional, extremely helpful and informative. The Riad is beautiful and it was wonderful to stay in somewhere more traditional. Our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable and had all the facilities you would expect, including a stunning yet traditional bathroom. The breakfast was good and we had a delicious tagine on the roof terrace on our first night. We also opted for a scrub and massage in the Riad which was a lovely, relaxing experience. The location was ideal for us too - easy to walk to the souks and main square with lots of good, local restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend a stay at Riad Sofia.

The room could be noisy if other guests were at the tables in the central atrium. This only happened once with some late arrivals. Most guests seemed conscious of the other guests staying in the Riad and noise was kept to a minimum.

Exceptional! A perfect stay in the heart of the Medina ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This Riad exceeded all our expectations! It’s perfectly located, with easy access to the main attractions in the Medina — just 300 meters from Bacha Coffee, 700 meters from the Secret Gardens, and 900 meters from the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa. The area is peaceful and quiet, allowing us to fully relax despite being in the heart of the city. The team was absolutely wonderful, especially Mostafa — an outstanding host. Always available, attentive, and genuinely caring. He personally accompanied us to and from the airport transfers and even on the excursions we booked directly through the Riad. We truly felt looked after every step of the way. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very well air-conditioned — which made all the difference after a long day exploring. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and clearly made with great care. The pool was our haven during the hottest afternoons — cozy, clean, and very refreshing. Without a doubt, this was a memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this Riad to anyone looking for comfort, authenticity, and exceptional hospitality in Marrakech!

While I found Marrakech to be interesting, exciting and exotic, the best part of it for me was the refuge of the Riad Sofia. The history and beauty of the building was stunning. The peace, quiet and serenity of the Riad were a welcome and much needed respite after the day’s adventures amongst the tangled alley ways and shops. I must say the best part of the trip, besides my wife, were Mustafa and Said. What style and class these two gentlemen had. They were more than willing to help us get around and proudly share the history, restaurants and shops of the area whenever we asked. If I lived there, I would surely call these two guys my friends. I would certainly stay here again and may I add… my favorite shower of all time. Special thanks to Mustafa!  -Scott Stanford

Hard to say...this Riad allows you to meet western standard while still quite authentic and real. The building and its decorations are amazing! Some structural issues - such as some humidity or the hard compromise between getting some natural ventilation or light in the ground floor room, while preserving privacy - could have been handled better. However, since you want to spend most of your time hanging around or in its terrific patio with the outstanding personnel, at the end of the day it didn't really matter.

Our stay at Riad Sofia in Marrakesh was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Sahid went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was always available to help, offered great recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed. His warmth and hospitality made the experience so special. The riad itself was beautiful and peaceful, a perfect retreat from the busy streets. Breakfast each morning was a delight – fresh, varied, and served with such care. The rooftop was a lovely spot to relax. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend Riad Sofia to everyone!

Everything from start to finish at Riad Sofia was wonderful. Transport from the airport was easily arranged and Mustafa greeted us on arrival with wonderful mint tea. The Riad itself is a beautiful building and easy to reach all the sights nearby. Mustafa provided lots of recommendations and a map for us. Sahid made us an amazing Tagine on our first night. The breakfast was delicious and fresh made and the rooftop a lovely place to relax away from the bustle of the Medina. Our room was comfortable and clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here the hosts are exceptional.

The riad is located in a prime location. Close to the airport and close to the souks. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and pleasant. We could practically walk around Marrakesh staying here. The morning breakfast was nice but less options which is fine. The security is good. The room was cleaned and the Riad well maintained. The terrace was really nice.

The bed was making a sound which after a day or two became a bit irritating. Also the rooms are not sound proof so do not expect to sleep longer because if there are other loud guests having breakfast you will wake up. Even though Marrakesh is not extremely cold the room is not insulated so in case you need more blankets ask for it.

Very high standard of cleanliness and friendliness. Great location not too far from the souks. The sunny roof terrace is a relaxing place to plan your day or reflect on the experience. In the bedroom the bed and pillows are really comfortable. The bath gel and shampoo are quality products. The hamman and massage were professional and a real treat. The cooking class was a terrific highlight for me and the finished meal delicious. A big thank you to Abdo, Said and the other staff for the welcome and advice during my visit.

The riad is great but the souks are a maze. It’s very easy to get lost. That’s not the fault of the riad and after a while the geography gets easier. The staff will give lots of help finding your way.

Beautiful building, full of character, genuine Moroccan architecture,we felt like we were in one of those 1001 nights stories.... being December we didn't expect to feel so cold in the room so we needed an extra blanket and put heating on as windows and doors are not insulated or double glazed😉.... breakfast could have been a little richer, with more choice and better organized but it was delicious, we loved the freshly squeezed orange juice and fig jam. Situated in the heart of Medina, close to all sights, the souks, Jemaa El Fnaa famous market square we felt like locals.

A few issues with the hot water, breakfast wasn't well organized
