The hotel is in South Amsterdam, but the links to the center by tram or tram and metro are excellent. The building has 14 floors, we were on the 11th, and the views are stunning. While it does not have a bar/restaurant, there is an agreement to use Lucia's rooftop bar, restaurant and living room, in the hotel next door. A very romantic space.

Réception thought I didn't have to pay tourist tax, then contacted me after checkout saying I hadn't paid the tax. However due to the excellent transport links, it was not onerous to return and settle this.

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable, we found it odd that we had to request the hair drier at the reception, but we kind of understand the reason. The breakfast buffet was nice and valued the money. The staff wasn't very much friendly, upon arrival we dealt with a receptionist a bit rude in my opinion (I've been a receptionist too), but thankfully after a few minutes, another receptionist approached us, and she's been great explaining us the reason why the room wasn't ready yet (which I didn't expect seeing the time we arrived), and why we could not do the check-in, in a very friendly and approachable way. We loved her. Overall, the stay was nice, and I will come back if I ever be in Amsterdam again.

The location is good enough to reach the city center in 25/30 minutes, even returning late hours, it has night transportation - very good. The place was silent and very good to rest. The bathroom was very good, space to move around, shower with hot, very hot, water. The breakfast was good and has a good price for what is offered. The room was never really warm, even though I turned on the AC. A small closet would be nice, something with a key. My card also stopped working for no reason which made me go down stairs again to be able to enter my room - my problem is that I had no warning.

Great place for commuting into Amsterdam city center - tram is just 2-minute walk away. Rooms are not fancy, because they are not supposed to. They are, in fact, very minimalist. Everything was clean, the shower was working properly, shower head has even 3 different modes, which surprise surprise work as they are supposed to. Mattress was comfortable and duvet was pretty large, so I, as a 2 meteres tall guy, did not have problems with my feet sticking out of it. Do not know about breakfast because did not buy one.

There is not even a simple chair and a table. There were just 3 plastics stools. However, I did not care too much about it. Mentioning just because it might be a deal-breaker for someone. (I got the cheapest room)

If you are looking for a clean comfortable and easily accessible place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of central amsterdam then I would highly recommend this place. The nearest metro Kronenburg is less than 5 minutes by walk with easy connections to both the centre and the airport. Both less than 20-25 mins away. There is a shopping centre less than 10 mins by walk where you can get a nice selection of places to eat at very reasonable prices. Most are open until 10 pm. Breakfast in the hotel was adequate. Staff speak very good english. We were provided extra pillows and blankets within minutes of requesting. There is a 24 hour self service coffee and snack bar which also stocks some basic travel necessities. . The location is in a very nice quiet neighbourhood and we felt quite safe even when we were out late

The room was very clean and cozy. Very well located near one of the Tram stations which helps you get around Amsterdam. The breakfast I paid extra for was excellent, there were gluten-free options, it was sensational!

All the staff attended to us very well, with the exception of one who was extremely short-tempered on the day we checked in. He even gave us the keys to a “room” that didn't exist, we kept looking and couldn't find it, there was only a laundry room on site. But then another member of staff came up to us and very kindly gave us the correct keys to our room! This negative experience on arrival didn't affect our stay at all, as all the other staff were extremely helpful and polite!

It was clean, pretty good size. The staff was really nice and helpful. Check in/out was swift, and they actually had our room ready when we checked in a little early. Beds were comfy and I loved the idea of a Murphy bed (we had 4 people in the room). We could put it up and give ourselves more room to move around.

Coming from the USA, we brought adapters for our appliances. Unfortunately, the plugs were inset into the wall so our adapters wouldn’t work. I checked with the front desk and they had an extra one that we were able to borrow. We had to put a 20 euro deposit for a hairdryer (no big deal). We were charged for “tourist” tax, which wasn’t mentioned in the booking. Not a big deal, but would have been nice to know. Personal Preference, but I wished the air conditioning would have been a little colder.

The location is great. It is about 6 tram stops south of Zuid station, which has a regular service to Schiphol Airport, just one stop away, There are frequent tram services: 1 terminates at Zuid, but the second continues all the way to the centre of Amsterdam, passing through the museum quarter. The Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam is located 1 tram stop south of Zuid so the location of the hotel is great for anyone visiting it. Breakfast is a typical cold continental one: the croissants were excellent and the coffee machines provided decent coffee too. There was always enough seating (even when a coach party all came down to breakfast at nearly the same time one day). Another excellent feature of the hotel is the self-service lockers that are provided: this enabled one to check-out and spend a full day sightseeing in Amsterdam before leaving for the airport.

Not many negatives to report. My shower door had a 1 cm gap at the bottom, so I manged to flood the bathroom floor with water on first usage - I made sure that my subsequent showers did not fire water at the door! The rooms are a little on the small side but a double room with just one person in was fine. The area is very residential and there are not many places to eat within walking distance. The restaurant in the building next door was nice, but had a very limited (and rather expensive) menu.

Direct tram connection between hotel and central station. The room was nice and tidy and service was good. Takes only few minutes to reach tram stop from the hotel. The room had a great view from the window.

Room size was little bit small for a family. No floor mat inside or outside the toilet. It takes 35 minutes from central station to reach the hotel. It is a bit far when you are travelling with children.

Loved the location, and the fact there was a car park. Room was well sized, with towels and bedding . Breakfast was great choice ( although we were stopped and questioned as not on the list the first day) Downside was no wardrobe and hangers on wall limited not ideal if you have items that need to be hung, no kettle in room thought a complimentary bottle of water would of been a good idea to go with the glasses. Did find hairs in the shower upon arrival.
