Everything! Helpful and friendly staff, great location, beautiful view of the canal outside my window, unbelievably comfortable room and bed, great shower, and the whole place felt like it had character and a vibrancy about it. Highly recommend!

Well, they could’ve had two dozen oysters and champagne ready for me on my arrival, I suppose. Instead, all they did was greet me outside in the rain, hand me an umbrella so I could stay dry, and then carried all four of my bags into my room for me.

Everything, especially the staff. The professional and friendly attitude was top notch. I got the feeling that I was the only guest. Special thanks to Camilla for her friendly, caring attitude during our stay.

The room we stayed in had a lovely view of the canal and afternoon sunshine. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The breakfast room was beautiful and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect!

The room on the canal was noisy from street noise all night long, which made it difficult to get a decent nights rest. The stairs are very narrow and tricky to navigate.

Really comfy beds, very attentive staff and excellent location. There was building work happening while we were staying but we didn't hear anything at all so it didn't disrupt our stay and we got a complimentary breakfast every morning to make up for the inconvenience! (We hadn't paid for breakfast with the room)

The room we stayed in was quite small but had everything we needed and was beautifully furnished. There was some noise from pipes etc. at night but I assume this will be the case in all of the old buildings along the canal and it wasn't too disruptive.

The location was great and close to the tram stop. The staff were incredibly professional and very friendly. The service was outstanding. The interior is so beautiful and fits the architecture and style perfectly. My room was very comfortable and the view of the Amsterdam rooftops were amazing.

Honestly everything was perfect.

The hotel is perfectly situated on a canal and close to the museums, city centre, shops and cafes/restaurants. The room was beautifully styled and overlooked a deep courtyard. It is an historic building , retaining period features including a staircase typical of canal houses. Staff member, Wolf, was especially friendly and helpful with advice on places to go as well as navigating the streets. I enjoyed our chats!

I had to point out some details in my room eg my tea cups not being replaced etc that would be expected to be done in a hotel of this calibre - needless to say these things were quickly rectified the next day. Also, I enjoyed climbing the stairs but something to be mindful of!

The room was beautiful with a lovely view of the canal and boats passing by. The location was excellent for art galleries and central to many key venues, there is a tram stop just meters away. The staff were very welcoming and not at all intrusive, everyone spoke really good English. Three nights was just about perfect for us.

The breakfast had little choice for the price - we should have tried the coffee shop on the other side of the canal. Beware of the bicycles they seem to think they have priority over any living creature! And avoid taxi's they are a complete rip off, the trams are brilliant. Not the greatest place for vegetarians but I'm pretty good at making do.

Staff is WONDERFUL. Thank you Wolfe, Patrick, Ada, Duko and colleagues. GREAT location. The lower level is where their complimentary breakfast is offered in a newly renovated area. Delicious selection of homemade cold items. They also offer pastry treats throughout the day along with teas/coffee/wine/champagne! Dinner reservations and recommendations were terrific. The level of service is impeccable with a boutique hotel feel. One heads up, this is a 300+ year old structure his is no elevator and the stairs are very Dutch… they go straight up! Any mobility issues make sure to ask for a ground floor room The staff is more than willing to do the heavy suitcase lifting. Treat yourself to a wonderful luxury boutique hotel, in central Amsterdam. It was well worth it. We’ll be back! Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
