Staff were exceptional - for a 2* hotel, the service was 5*! Very friendly, accommodating and helpful. We unknowingly booked a basement room and were able to upgrade it for a small supplement. While I wouldn't recommend booking basement rooms (unless on a very tight budget but the savings are negligible overall), the mid-range is an excellent value for money, considering prices in Amsterdam and the location of the hotel. The hotel is situated by the canal, a short walk from Rijksmuseum and surrounded by cafes, bars and nice spots to eat. Free coffee and tea in the lounge area were a nice surprise too. Very happy with my stay and would definitely come back.
Basement room is small, dark and has no window, so be advised before booking. Standard rooms are much better value in my opinion.

Very well located, clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. I could leave my luggage for some hours after the check out.
I am a solo traveler, but still the room was small for my commodity. It is like a small ship room. Anyway, I could manage and used to it.

I loved the location, very central to everything and close to public transportation! The staff were all very kind and helpful. It was nice to have the option to grab a coffee or piece of fruit in the morning. I thought the room itself was clean and just big enough for me as someone traveling alone. There was a small desk in the room and shelves to store your things.
I did see some mold in the shower however I feel like that is expect with an older building; it was not a lot of mold by any means and I felt like the bathroom was overall very clean. Along with it being an older building I feel like the walls were thin so I could hear people but it was not so bad that I was not able to sleep or anything like that.

There was a lift which was good as my room was on the 2nd floor. The windows faced the front of the building and had a lovely canal view. All the Staff are so friendly and very helpful, will do so much when asked. The Mozart Hotel is in a great location, only a few minutes walk for the 2, 12 and 17 number trams which have the 'Tap On - Tap Off' card facility and go in a loop to and from Central Station and Dam Square and everywhere in-between. Breakfast is not supplied but in the Foyer there are vending machines with drinks and snacks, free, tea and coffee making facilities and just up the road are plenty of places to eat, lots of Cafes local shops, Pharmacy and restaurants just a 5 minute walk from the Hotel.
No complaints in regard to the Hotel or Staff, everything was fine but not the trams, they get full and it is sometimes difficult to get to the Exit doors in time, the Conductors are a bit too fast to shut the doors and I did get taken a stop further than I wanted a couple of times!

it is an adorable little place. It’s conveniently located to everywhere. The employees were lovely. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
I did not like the fact that I paid twice as much for the room going through Booking.com then I would have paid if I had gone through the hotel directly. Also, the people in the room above us, stopped around and felt like they were dropping bowling balls and they would do that late at night and at 4 o’clock in the morning the room was very tiny, but I didn’t really need bigger than that. We only slept in it and the beds were comfortable. if you go to their webpage. There is a picture that would lead you to believe that they served food. Apparently, it’s an old picture they do not anymore.

The location is right on the canal so you get a front row seat to life in Amsterdam. The location is ideal for museums, restaurants and night life, and there is a great coffee shop a block away. The room was clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Loved the free coffee station in the lobby area!
On the flip side, the hotel is right on the canal in a city that never sleeps. The activity on the canal is entertaining, but not so much at 3am. Being ear plugs.

It is a fantastic location for exploring some of the most photogenic parts of wonderful Amsterdam. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Although there was no kettle in the room, there is a very convenient area in reception with free tea and coffee for guests. Our room overlooked the canal, which was quite lovely. No breakfast was available, but there are nearby bakeries and mini supermarkets, which have very good value meal deals. Eating in Amsterdam can be expensive, so these are super useful to locate.
The room had no air-con. We visited in a very warm August so we had the window open and used the large fan provided. This meant that the aroma of hash from nearby cafes was pretty constant at night. To be honest, if this is a deal breaker for the traveller, Amsterdam is probably not the best choice to visit anyway. The bathroom was tiny and absolutely could have done with a revamp. That said, everything was clean and functional.

Staff super cordial, they gave us also an upgrade due a mine mistake. Location and view both amazing. Also, super clear about infos and extra infos. I advice this hotel. They offered also the possibility to take hot coffee/tea machine and some fruits even if we didn't have the package with breakfast. Super Easy to reach it from airport and from every part of the city using trams and busses. That location is one of my fav to see, especially during night
There were some damaged stuffs like a door. For the rest, all fine :)

Great location; walking distance to many key attractions, and I felt safe walking around the area in the evening as a solo female traveller. Staff were wonderful - friendly, polite and helpful. Excellent value for money. Free hot drinks provided and a pleasant communal seating area.
I had a single room, which was small, so if you had a large suitcase it could be a bit cramped; and some cosmetic repairs would be good. However, everything was functioning correctly, and I found the bed comfortable and the room warm and cosy. Very good shower and continuous hot water.
