Great location centrally located and very clean. Easy to locate close to everything was a 10 minute walk from central station and within walking distance to everything you could need. Staff were amazing, stored our luggage when we left until 10pm which was amazing! Shared bathrooms were okay, could have more space / hooks for toiletries and the soap dispenses were always empty. The shared bathrooms were all genders even though it says there are different floors for each gender this rule is not followed.

Extremely small and difficult to fit our suitcases, no room for getting ready of a morning but otherwise was amazing.

Every one of the staff were stellar. The location is right in the middle of things and close to the train. Although some might find it claustrophobic, I found the bed situation very cozy. The bathroom was very clean and I never had to wait.

Don't expect a quiet serene place. People come and go at all hours and may not be (ahem) totally aware that they are being loud. But it is a hostel, so that is to be expected. I travel with earplugs anyway, and the ones they provided were very good and drowned most of it out.

I really was not interested in breakfast but, it seems that everyone looks so satisfied with their food and particularly me with the excellent coffee and the variety of it, any style was delicious and prepare just as one likes it. The staff is so helpful, cheerful and anxious to help, for real. I'm so sorry I didn't the name of all of them, but Flora in the morning is such a sweet girl and Marta in the evening is truly amazing, she made so easy my check in and all the time I was there, she was very attentive to my needs and confort. I was very impressed with all the staff for real, they all are great! I really love this place and have been and excellent experience with the capsules rooms; a real new experience, it's really, truly awesome and safe all the way!!!

Very clean and modern room and bathroom. Great location.

One evening I ate at the bar and that’s where the receptionist is. I was there for less than an hour and in that time she issued 4 replacement room keys. She never asked anyone for ID. And only asked one person their name. It didn’t make me feel safe that keys were being issued without validating they were guests.

The location is perfect! at the heart of Amsterdam City center. The bed was really comfortable and the staff very friendly. We could store our luggage after check out for 3-4 hours so we could enjoy our last hours without carrying them around.

Staff were amazing, everything was clean and the price and location were spot on! They checked us in early and the free coffee in the morning was a god send, we found it so comfortable navigating the hostel, we felt like we had our own little apartment! We even ate at the restaurant attached to the hostel and the food and staff there were fantastic!

The fire alarm did go off in the middle of the night, but the staffed warned us about that, there was a few loud neighbors in terms of knocking on doors but again not a big thing, there really isn't anything we didn't like about it, defo booking there again :D

The rooms are rather small, they are very clean and comfortable, bathrooms, showers everything is kept very tidy and the bar downstairs is fantastic. The staff 100% bring the place to life. Maryne- Amazing staff member, met every single request and was always great to talk to, very welcoming and genuine person. Mariana- so friendly and helpful a great person to answer any questions you have really brilliant person. Giuseppe- An absolute legend ! One of the best cocktails I've ever drank. Very friendly and had a great laugh with. Makes This Hostel a happier place. Renzo- Brilliant waiter, friendly and charming never any issue. Was so helpful with picking and ordering food a really great guy. Lisa- Brilliant restaurant manager was amazing from check in to check out really great job. Mario- Food was incredible every time a perfect chef couldn't fault a thing. To all the other staff that I haven't mentioned all you guys are fantastic sorry I didn't get your names but really amazing experience. Love all you and hope to see you all again soon.

Im tall, the room is small but I knew that when I was booking. Even for a small room it was comfortable and the staff downstairs has no problem with you sitting down in the restaurant without needing to order. Truly amazing place.

What I like about this hostel is that it’s comfortable, easy to find, and located near everything — the city center, markets, and main attractions. Everything is so close that you can easily walk around and explore many places.

What I don’t like is that, unlike many other hostels I’ve stayed in, there’s no shared kitchen to prepare your own meals. For me, this is important because I’m on a diet and can’t eat everything from the menu. The hostel does offer breakfast, but there aren’t many choices, and you can’t always rely on eating here for every meal. Still, it’s not a big issue — overall, I really like this hostel.

Cube was spacious, comfy bed, love that the plugs are close to the bed and plenty of storage space! I like that you only have access to the floor you’re on, and that each floor is in 3 sections, which reduces hallway noise (I was on the opposite end of the hall to the bathroom which was ideal). Speaking of, the bathrooms are modern and clean. Fully private toilet and shower stalls. Shower stalls are spacious with shelves and hooks for your things. Never had to wait for the toilet, shower or sink. Plenty of clean towels at all times of day. Last but not least the STAFF! They are amazingly and are sooooo welcoming. Great to sit at the bar and chat with and give helpful tips as well. The restaurant staff at Fiona are great as well!

The only “critique”, and these are small details: the doors in hallway and from the cubes make quite a bit of noise when they close, would be nice to have them on a more silent mechanism (people are not conscious of the amount of noise they’re making when coming back late). Would be nice to have a shelf or hook in the toilet stalls as well.

The staff are amazing, very friendly and approachable. The rooms were spotless and the free coffee between 9am and 12pm is a nice touch. It is a shared bathroom on each floor, the showers are clean and the towels were freshly cleaned. The location is fantastic, few minutes from the train station and a straight walk around 10 minutes to Damrak centre. Solo travelled and it's the first time staying in a hostel, I would highly recommend This Ho(s)tel to everyone, very affordable and I felt very well looked after. Thank you to all staff!

I would recommend a bed on the floor, I stayed in an elevated bed and it's hard work climbing into bed, the stairs are tiny to get up. It isn't too bad as a solo traveller though, definitely recommend a floor bed if you're going as a couple. Apart from that everything else was fantastic!
