The position is perfect, 5 minutes walk from the central train station and perfect to walk around the center without any problem. No noise from the street and the gentlemen we found at the reception were always kind and ready to help. Our room was very big, clean and comfortable. The hotel has also a lift, which is a great thing in Amsterdam.

There is no a refrigerator in the room and the atmosphere is a little bit "dark" (in terms of lights), we suggest to give the possibility to have a brighter light in the room.

The hotel is in the heart of central district, Location is great, very easy to get to from centrals station. Most attractions are either walkable from here or easy public transport ride. Staff super friendly. breakfast was decent. One thing to call out, if you know your way around the city, you know how crowded the area is with tourists, so your food options are a bit pricey and mediocre quality, it's not super clean in the early mornings until city picks up after late night partiers.

Nothing applicable but if you cannot take stairs (Amsterdam steep and narrow level steps) call that out because there are multiple properties and the staff will need to accommodate your need and get you in the building that has an elevator, ours didnt but we were okay, otherwise you cannot get to your room for real.

The location was perfect. A lot of street noise,though given the location it was expected. Moved to a quieter room after 2 nights. Like the ambience, the beautiful 450 yo bar, the different areas for dining and for breakfast and that it had the feel of an old style hotel.still had many original features. It felt safe and those that stay there were very friendly. The staff were interested in you and often went out of their way to assist you.It was very friendly and cosy.

Some general maintenance could be easily managed such as a leaky shower and have irons,ironing boards and hairdryers in the rooms. Given only one hand towel and towel, no bathmat. Would have liked to have the ability to make a tea/coffee in the room. Not sure what the limitations of thisxare given the age of the hotel.

Location close to Centraal Station. Located very near the landmark of the Basilica of Saint Nicholas which is easy to find, though out of line-of-sight walking from Central's tram stops. Elevator. Quiet on top floor. Great sleep! Large room with both bathroom (with a tub) and toilet separate. I looked forward to the onsite breakfast. Unfortunately, I slept through it. Old skool small hotel. Many foot traffic only streets in the vicinity. Proximity to public transportation. Proximity to departure points for canal cruises. Luggage storage after booking out, so I enjoyed a day in Amsterdam before an evening flight out catching the speedy train from Centraal to Schipol.

Nothing. Don't mix it up with the similarly named, white-fronted Prins Hendrik Hotel which is only doors away.

It's my second time in this hotel, so I pretty much knew what to expect. I booked it because of it's awesome location. It's literally in front of the central station. It's great value for money too. The staff is very friendly and helpful and there is a bar and a restaurant downstairs. It's a 3 star hotel, that needs some remodelling, so don't expect it to be fancy, but it does the job for it's worth perfectly.

Shower in my room was slightly leaking and doors didn't close fully. So the room needs a remodelling. Also I find it slightly awkward that every time you leave, you have to leave your room key card at the reception. Perhaps it's for safety. So don't be surprised.

Staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to accommodate a ground level bedroom when they spotted my crutches. I didn't even have to ask, they simply spotted it would be a struggle and provided it for me for no extra charge. Location was perfect; incredibly close to trams, metro, trains, buses and the ferry - yet also only a short walk to the city centre. Breakfast and the downstairs bar were also brilliant and I will definitely return.

This was the second time my friends and I stayed in this hotel. The location is just perfect and close to many shops and attractions. We love that it is just beside St Nicholas Basilica. The buffet breakfast has a good variety. We stayed in room 215 and the view was beyond comprehension, facing the central station. We love that we get fresh towels everyday.

It was hard to get on the tub as there was no rail on the sides to hold on to, which makes it unsafe for my friends who are elderly. Bed was fine but pillows were not firm enough.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Very professional and knowledgeable. We found all of the staff with whom we dealt, to be excellent. The room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom and toilet were in separate rooms with sinks in both rooms. In addition to large rooms, the hotel offers breakfast in the morning which was excellent and offering up a good selection of breakfast foods. It exceeded our expectations. Excellent television channel selection. although I was not in Amsterdam to watch television, in the evening while relaxing, it was great to have a good selection of TV channels. Overall we had a great stay and would book the hotel again.

There was no safe or fridge in the room. Most importantly, there was no air conditioning and when we opened the windows to cool the room, the street noise was problematic as this hotel is located in a high pedestrian and vehicle traffic area. As the evening wore on, it became quieter.

The biggest bonus for this hotel is its location - in the very center of the city, all popular sights can be reached without using transport. It should be noted that staying in this hotel should be expected to be noisy almost throughout the night - because it is the very center of the city, if it does not disturb - then still - the location is ideal. Breakfast was very good - English breakfast - everything fresh and tasty. The room was not super modern, but OK.

The initial communication with the receptionist was not successful, I had to involve a work colleague who speaks Dutch, because the receptionist was unable to resolve the situation (or explain in English) which seemed standard to us. Even threatened to cancel the reservation which ruined the evening because it was stressful. In the end everything was resolved, I think it could have been done better, faster and without spoiling the mood. The bed was bad- one side of the bed was badly damaged - it interfered with sleeping.

Location is great, everything in a walking distance. Staff was amazing, room was cozy and very clean. Best breakfast, almost everything was...this hotel has everything for relaxation and pleasant memories. There is a lift in part of the hotel, but there is no lift in the wing where the large rooms are. There are many stairs in the building. We stayed here for the second time and we are glad that we chose this hotel. Good luck to you, dear hotel team and thank you.
