The view of the canal from my window made me feel refreshed & at ease every morning. The bed was spacious and made for a relaxing sleep. The water pressure & temperature was just right. The staff was lovely & great location, super close to everything!

To nitpick - the charging ports next to the bed are only the old USB’s so they don’t support iPhone’s USB C. The bathroom door & window did not fully shut. The room had cobwebs & a bit of dust. There were spiders & moths both dead and alive. There was no one at the reception to check me out at 7am.

Beautiful location in Scheidam, right on the canal. It is just 5 mins walk from the tram stop which will take you into Rotterdam centre in about 20 mins. Lots of lovely local restaurants to choose from. We were able to hire bikes from the hotel and cycle into Rotterdam and out to Delft. The hotel was quiet and very clean and nicely decorated, the room was spacious. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

The main reason this is an 8 not a 9 was the breakfast. It was quite limited which is ok as the hotel is not that big, but the hot items were left a long time and not very fresh. Perhaps when there are a small number of guests it would be better to make these to order. Although the room was spacious the decor was style over substance. There wasn't really anywhere to put clothes, and it was lacking any decoration or art on the walls, and the furniture was not very comfortable. We had a room with kitchenette which was useful, but would not be suitable to do any cooking.

In October, I unexpectedly extended my short stay due to a sudden family bereavement, and booked in here for an extra week. The staff went out of their way to help me with some things I needed to organise relating to the funeral. Also, because I have a walking disability, they booked me into the ground floor room, so no problems with using stairs. A lovely BnB hotel in a gorgeous location with very professional and friendly staff.

There are not many options nearby that I could find for midday or evening meals. As it happened, I was normally travelling daily further afield to visit family.

Beautiful canal side location in the heart of the historic City centre. Shops, cafes, restaurants and culture on the doorstep. Beautiful ancient building. Nice breakfast.

The bedroom was a little cramped, but it had a separate seating area, kitchenette and en-suite. People walking by our window and a BIG city-wide party on the other side of the canal until midnight - but the soundproof windows dulled the noise and the blinds ensured complete privacy. (Great for people-watching as they walked by, though!)

The hotel is in a beautiful old building along Lange Haven canal, when we arrived we checked in a relaxed manner, sitting down with a cup of coffee, and this set the tone of our three days at Stadsvilla Mout. We found Schiedam to be an elegant neighbourhood, and with a map from the hotel we followed a suggested a walk to see the old gin distilleries and windmills, which we recommend. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with modern tasteful furniture. Wi-Fi worked well and staff was always friendly and available. The tram stop to reach the centre of Rotterdam is 8 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel has a short list of recommended restaurants in walking distance and there is also a local shopping centre nearby in the 'Passage' which we found to be handy. In general one must plan the visit mindful that most shops and museums are closed on Mondays.

The room was nice and spacious, there is a great big bathtub in the bathroom, and we loved the location. It is not only that the windmills (including a fantastic museum) are very close but we have found very nice restaurants nearby.

There is one thing we really did not like, however: in the description on booking.com it is clearly stated that the hotel has an electric vehicle charging point. However, we have found no charger in the garage and when we asked the staff they were surprised and did not even know that the charger is included in the description on booking.com.

Good location in Schiedam. Lovely touch of a personal greeting card. The room was surprisingly very large and had many amenities.

There were some stains on the mirror, looked like it wasn’t fully attended by the cleaner. Breakfast was very limited. Had mixed feelings about the staff. On the first day the receptionist kept talking all the time to my partner in Dutch, while clearly I was the one that arranged the booking. That felt very unprofessional. On the second day, staff was great, no complaints.

Boutique hotel situated with perfect views of beautiful canals and buildings, friendly staff, tasty breakfast, comfy rooms with everything you could possibly need.

The medieval torture devices hanging exactly “get of bed” height in the shape of hanging lights I banged my head off at least 6 times, and the fact I was told late check out was 15, then was charged 50 upon leaving.

There were a number of automatic messages that were very annoying ahead of arrival. I don't understand why check-in in advance must be so urgent and on top of it, the links to click did not work. Also, the lights in the room(s) are complicated to turn out. Ended up not having light in the bathroom.

This was our first time in Schiedam and we liked it a lot. The property is in a very pleasant, quiet location within easy reach of all that Schiedam has to offer. The building itself is impressive, especially inside. Generally, the ambience and comfort levels were very high.

The kitchenette in our suite was poorly outfitted for cooking. There was not a single kitchen knife or cooking / serving spoon/ spatula. We managed with my Swiss Army knife and a 'can-do' attitude. There was also very little in the way of cupboard / closet space (we stayed four nights). The airconditioning was a nuisance (although we were on the top floor in July it was quite cool weatherwise)in that it was impossible to switch it off in the room. We had to get reception to turn it off each time (it came back on unbidden at 7,00 am each morning ).
