Gorgeous wee apartment. The view of the bay is so lovely. So lovely to open the curtains and see the bay. Sunny and warm. Super central. Beautifully decorated. Lovely bedding and good selection of pillows. Would stay again.

The entrance to the apartment is behind a restaurant so it’s very ugly. There were cooking fat lumps on the path, wheelbarrows, mops, old gas bottles, long grass and weeds. Not nice at all. In the apartment there were hardly any amenities - 2 small packets of shampoo, no hand or body soap, and only one toilet paper roll. There is literally only 2 of everything - including only 2 teaspoons. The bathroom is very old and worn. The hot water is temperamental and we couldn’t get it hotter than luke warm the first night. As the apartment is above a restaurant it’s very noisy. Would not want to stay in the peak seasons.

Great location, right by the pier and minutes away from the historic district. The apartment is nice and spacious, and the shower is powerful. We booked a place with a second bedroom for the baby and it was perfect for us. We were on the ground floor but it's very peaceful and quiet at night.

Firstly, the wifi signal was basically non existent. We had to literally stand right next to the front door just to get a weak signal. As we had to do some admin work, we had to use quite a bit of our limited monthly data plan. Separately, we had an issue with the cot being unsafe for the baby. While we were able to solve the problem by sacrificing a pair of socks and duct tape, the apartment got a second one to replace the next day (but we chose not to use because our fix worked). I'm writing it here because I hope that they have now retired it for good for the safety of other babies sleeping in it.

Location Great Room/Apartment great, no view for me but others have water views. Beds great, rooms nice and fresh looking. Great laundry facility

No Milk, No offer of Milk. Cant have a coffee with no milk. Others were given milk. Why? Shower was pointing up and out so if you turn on the shower it blew out cold water all over your guest and the floor. Cleaners should be watching where they leave the shower pointing after cleaning. Cobwebs around the ceiling, corners and in vents Greeting Staff member found it hard to give a smile hello... Maybe she doesnt like her job. It all seemed a little too hard.

Staying here is amazing. You have a wonderful 1 1/2 hour site-seeing boat journey in, land on the most beautiful beach and walk up to the hotel. We stayed in one of the lodges which were exquisite. Loved the design, the space, the comfort. It is the setting and the ability to stay the night that makes this place. The sounds of the jungle! The hotel restaurant and terrace were great. Staff first rate. You'd expect noithing less. We only brought overnight bags and left our suitcases in the car as the walk along the beach can be quite lengthy depending on tide and boat landing. Walked a short section of the Abel Tasman trail to the next beach - amazing.

All fantastic - but it is expensive and you have to pay for the boat transfers in and out on top.

Was meant to be a room with a sea view, but it was actually a side view of the sea.Not enough wall sockets in kitchen for cooking purposes as well as only 1 wall socket next to 1 side of the bed as well as left wall lamp not working.Not much choice of TV channels & heat pump never worked too well. I emailed/rang the motel early in the week queries regarding the kitchen/facilities but got no reply ??? Not much pressure in the shower

What a view! We arrived a day earlier than originally planned and upgraded and are very glad that we did both. "Penthouse" 71 is spacious, comfortable and has some of the best views that we saw in our 6 weeks in NZ. It was a great end to our holiday.

The person who was working on reception when we arrived gave the distinct impression that we were interrupting her day. The overhead "bedside" lights were not individually switchable which is a nuisance when one of you wants to read and the other sleep. I reported this to the other, much more interested, receptionist when we checked out.

Our room was large with 2 bedrooms, lounge with dining, a kitchen and an amazing view. The unit wasn't brand new but had great furnishings and so comfortable. Beds were comfy and had lots of spare blankets. Good shower pressure. Lots of restaurants within 1 minutes walk. Unit was across a quiet road from the water. Peaceful and relaxing place to stay with lovely staff. Thanks Akaroa Village in for the lovely weekend away to recharge our batteries.

The staff were outstanding and made sure we were able to stay in accommodation that reflected our booking and needs. They provided us with another unit to the one booked to ensure we had a wonderful stay. We had a lovely sea view and access to all amenities.

The mis-representation of some accommodation providers. We booked an apartment with balcony and sea view. The apartment unknown to us was a considerable distance from the beach and the only sea view was if you stood on the balcony and looked down the road. It was also multi-level with a very steep staircase (also not stated at time of booking). No mention of accessibility issues or that parking was some distance away. Please ensure accurate property information is provided on your site.

Location was very good, on flat near waterfront. Bedrooms ok. Lounge comfortable. Kitchen good.

Property could do with redecorating, looks tired. Showers were very poor. For a property that claims 2 bathrooms the second shower in the garage is unacceptable. Being a 3 floor property with bedrooms on 1st and 3rd floors and bathroom on the 3rd could cause issues for families. Description of property on website needs to be more accurate - currently misleading.

As there were 4 people in our group (1 couple and 2 singles) our accommodation was just perfect. I think we had the largest apartment available and it was as large as a normal house, with 2 bathrooms also! The location was great, walking distance to the beach and restaurants/bars.

Monday morning we were woken at 6.45am by the rubbish collection tipping copious amounts of bottles into the truck which was across the road from our room. Apart from that everything else was great!
