We really enjoyed our stay. The grounds and the views of the mountains and surrounding area are beautiful. The pool and hot tub were delightful after days of hiking, biking, or other activities. The living room/dining area, kitchen, and balcony provided a really nice place to hang out and relax. If you've been staying in smaller motels or accommodations, it's great to have a place to unpack and spread out--especially if you're lucky enough to be able to stay 3-4 days as we were. We weren't expecting to see the night sky so clearly in the Queenstown area, but the views at night from the property were stunning. Although this is outside downtown Queenstown by a 15-minute drive, it is minutes away from activities we were interested in: lots of hiking and biking options, Arrowtown and the Gibbston wine region, and for our departure--the airport! Appreciated that the hosts provide access to bikes and laundry, and were very accommodating. This is a wonderful place for couples and for families.

We found everything to our liking. If you're interested in bringing in some food for breakfast or other meals, the PAKnSAVE in Frankton is a close-by option.

The location was ideal for shopping at the 5 Mile Outlet at Frankton and meant not having to drive 6km to shop in Queenstown itself. The 2 person studio was v generously proportioned and well furnished with quality finishes. Laundry was v handy, with powder supplied , an iron and board. And the outdoor space was lovely with great views. The design and proof the apartments was v well done. The swimming pool was lovely.

Nothing really. We thought only 3 plates, bowls etc was a bit minimalist and we would have appreciated a salad bowl. We had to use sauce pan!

There was loads of space, the view from the room was spectacular and we could cook our own meal. Bed was very comfortable

Our room was right above the laundry facilities and the noise from the dryer was quite loud - laundry was allowed to be used until 10pm at night on our first night the dryer was going for 3 hours until after 9pm which was quite annoying The location of the property was beautiful but quite a long way out of Queenstown and the traffic into and out of Queenstown was awful - road works didn’t help, it took us at least 20 mins in bumper to bumper traffic

Stayed in the large studio which had the most amazing views. John the owner was so friendly and helpful - giving us good ideas of where to go and what to see. The studio had everything we wanted, kitchen facilities, comfy bed and sofas, sun loungers just outside our property and also enjoyed a swim in their lovely pool. The bathroom was well equipped and there are also laundry facilities available. Totally recommend staying here, it was absolutely perfect.

The unit was very large for a studio also very well equiped and super comfortable. Oscar the resident cat was very welcoming as was his dad John (the owner of the property). There was a lovely pool and sauna on site as well. The description and photos are accurate. The grounds and scenery are amazing and the location is perfect being outside of the hustle and bustle of Queenstown, yet very close to major shopping, cafes and restaurants.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

This is a beautiful property set in stunning grounds in a great location. The apartments are spacious very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely swimming pool and hot tub. Close to shops restaurants and cafes. The owner John and his team are really friendly and could not do enough to make our stay even better. We will definitely be back.

John's personal greeting upon arrival was a wonderful touch to a nice couple of days at his extremely well maintained lodge. He was kind enough to introduce me to the other guests staying at the lodge during my stay and the resident cat, Oscar. The room was large and very clean and organized. It was nice to have the cooking ability. The bed and linens were very comfortable.

Bugs outside were minimal but still couldn't sleep with the windows/glass doors open since there weren't any screens. Only a minor inconvenience. I wish there were ice trays in the freezer. The couple next to me gave me theirs, but that didn't help the immediate issue. All in all, there are no real complaints.

Amazing views. Great spa facilities. Was able to use the hot tub as the stars were out above me, which was surreal! The water pressure in the shower could be better, and I wish the bed was in the main area overlooking the mountain instead! Overall, really lovely stay with everything you need for one night or multiple. Their cat was also the cutest boy and very cuddly!

Thank you John and Oscar for being such an amazing hosts. What a great location! I’m still in awe how perfectly relaxed we were while staying at Manata lodge. Great views, comfy bed, clean and tidy are just few examples of how much we enjoyed our time there and spa was just cherry on top. I would 100% recommend Manata lodge to everyone. -Sophia and Guy

We don’t normally write reviews but in this case it was exceptional. John went to extra effort the make sure we had everything we needed. Wireless charging for the phone was great. The view is amazing. The room was very large with everything you need.

Some people would prefer a walk in shower rather than a shower over the bath. The frying pan wasn’t the same quality as everything else.
