The property was fabulous from check in to check out. All the staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming. The room was well appointed with lots of little fine touches such as a candle and matches by the bath. The wine tasting was fun to do, the food in the restaurant was delicious, we ate in there both nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had a facial in the spa which was the best I’ve had in a long time. We were sad to leave and would happily have spent a few more days there exploring the vineyards and relaxing. But I have to say the staff made it! Thank you for looking after us so well, we will be back!

Absolutely nothing!

Room feels new, everything was just as we dreamt it will be! We used the hot tub as well, as you got 2 in different 'locations' (private space between them) There was complementary wine tasting that was short and on point. We tasted very good wines! Thank you!

We felt the booking for the hot tub is too much of hotel-ish but they tried to solve a problem which i don't have a solution for.. You can ask as many 45 mins as you like, but it just feels different than just access the hot tub.

Gorgeous location with fantastic facilities, restaurants, wine tasting and tours. The Cheesery was awesome in case you just wanted to make your own platter in your room. The actual lodge was stunning and perfect, beautifully decorated with a luxurious fit out. Restaurant, bar and all the staff were fantastic.

Nothing, could fault it as Gibbston Valley Resort is one of the best places we’ve stayed

The property itself was lovely, tranquil, and romantic. Rooms were super clean and comfy. The food at the lodge restaurant was excellent. The staff members (all of them) were truly exceptional. Welcoming, kind, and thoughtful people. The evening wine tasting was superb. Our host was engaging and very knowledgeable about all of the wines from the region. She made us feel welcome.

Minor issue, the TV in our villa could not be seen comfortably from our bed.

The attention to detail within the Lodge is exceptional. Fabulous communication prior to our arrival as well. Gorgeous location between Wanaka and Queenstown. Absolutely worth staying overnight.

Such a small issue, but I wish I'd known that the complimentary wine tasting wasn't the full experience. I'd rather have paid and spent our limited time at the winery tasting a greater selection of Gibbston's wines.

Beautifully located within a vineyard, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and a running water feature just outside the porch. The villa itself was spacious, comfortable, with a lovely fireplace. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms spacious with a lovely relaxing tub!. Location is a little away from Queenstown, but the benefits exceed the short drive you need to make to visit town. Some beautiful local bike tracks along the river, and through to neighbouring Arrowtown and surrounds. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay as memorable as it was.

That we had to leave. You will need a car to make the location work, but if you prefer nature over the hustle and bustle of town - this is definitely the place to be.

Stunning location and beautiful facilities, just amazing. Loved the wine tasting, the wine facilitator had a vibrant personality and wine knowledge he passed on interesting and relatable. Also enjoyed the wine tasting setting and meeting the other guests. Great dinner and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

The dinner at the lodge restaurant was absolutely exquisite. The 5-course degustation was a highlight of our stay, showcasing a perfect blend of flavours and presentation. The setting and views from the lodge added a magical touch to the dining experience.

There was absolutely nothing we didn’t like—everything was flawless and exceeded our expectations.

Breakfast basic not value for price Should have been included in accommodation not a separate package

For the cost we expected at least a welcome glass of wine and cheese platter daily as they are a winery and have their own cheese deli dwe received this every day at Stoneridge down the road from Gibbston lodge at the same price

The lodge was fantastic. Parking was generous and we particularly enjoyed the ambiance of the lodge with the fireplace and turn down service each day. The bathroom was also generously sized.

Gym was small and would have liked to have been able to cast from your phone or iPad onto the tv in the room.
