The host was very friendly and provided us with information about what attractions were available and made suggestions about where to eat and visit. He gave us a guided tour of his garden and provided us with milk, tea, coffee etc. He was very knowledgeable anout the local area. Our room was very clean, had seats and a table, unlike our previous accommodation at Kerikeri.

There wasn't much to criticise. The place could have done with a coat of paint and maybe a bit of a renovation but honestly everything met our needs so no complaints.

Alan was very helpful and friendly. No fuss to add our grandson to the booking at the last minute too. Motel was comfortable, well maintained, and handy to town yet quiet with a lovely rural outlook . Looked like it still had the original kitchen from the 1970s which was in great condition and felt like a fun blast from the past! Only dampener on our stay was that the weather was unusually humid. Can't do much about the weather though! There was a fan provided in the room, but airconditioning would have moved our stay a notch up to perfect! Thank you for an enjoyable and no fuss stay in a pleasant spot.

The owner was so helpful and friendly to assist me in putting my flowers in the laundry to keep them from drying out in the boot of my car he even woke up early the next morning about 6.00 am to hellp me put them back in I was overwhelmed by his generosity that made my stay safe secure and enjoyable 😉 as I headed off in the direction to hikiwi marea for a unveiling I like to say a big thankyou again to the owner for his kind hospitality I will definitely refer family and friends to this motel Goodluck.

The owner is amazing, told us a lot about the city and recommended some good places to visit! The motel is old, don’t overestimate your expectations! But it’s nice and the location is very close to everything. Our daughter was excited about the neighbors horses, visited them every 5 mins. For the night or two, there were more than enough kitchen supplies, and we had tea, coffee and some milk.

Close to town, comfortable helpful manager. Everything I required from a motel was there, Did not have to use my car to get around Dargaville as the motel was close to town Centre.

Nothing there I did not like, Motel was a bit dated but that did not bother me.

I had a pleasant stay at this motel. The room was clean and spacious. The manager was very helpful and attentive. The location is good, about 30 minutes to Kai Iwi Lakes and 15 minutes to Baylys Beach.

The furniture was a bit outdated, but considering the price, it was absolutely fine. Overall, it offers good value for money.

Having stayed twice before we knew we were not staying at a 5 star motel. It is an old style motel with furniture and fittings appropriate for its age. It is still comfortable and with ammenities that we need for a night stop over.

The facilities matched the price payed so there was nothing I "didn't like".

Host was very friendly and helpful. The location was within easy walking distance from the town centre. Enjoyed browsing through the pawn shop just a 100 metres or so up the street.

The lace curtains were very old. Tore when I reached through it to open a window. Might need updating.

Had a fantastic weekend getaway from Auckland to visit Tāne Mahuta and KaiIwi lakes, stayed in this quiet lovely motel, which is very reasonably prices, clean and very cozy, had a very warm welcome and a very educational chat with the host and his adorable cat Blue, who gave us few tips about surroundings and some Kauri history. Enjoyed free wi-fi and parking, very close proximity to the town.

Breakfast wasn't included but I brought my own. The proprietor was very nice, showed where everything was and explained checkout. Very clean. Excellent bed and hot water every time. Quiet at night even though it's close to a main road. Close to all the shops with a good variety of eateries.

There wasn't anything to dislike.
