Pleasant place to stay. Host was welcoming and very accommodating during our stay. Bed sheets and towels were more than enough and clean. Staff were kind and never had any issue. Rooms were quiet and private as walls are built with bricks and concrete. Heat pump was near new and wasn’t smelly. Great location as it is right off the state highway 1 in Whangarei town, which is very handy to access the CBD. I would definitely return when I’m back in Whangarei.

Loved the bed, it was firm but comfy. I slept really well and woke up feeling completely pain free which is awesome, but not normal when I'm not in my own bed. I like firm beds, and I know if my partner had been with me it would have been little too firm for him. Comfy couch for sitting. Very deep bath to step into as shower was over bath. Water pressure was fantastic, though I really think the shower could be improved if it wasn't a fixed shower head, but instead one you can pull down from the wall and maybe a little step available outside the bath for short people like me. Fantastic that there was a sturdy handle to hang onto.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. The motel completely met my needs and I would stay there again if needed.

Location is easy to get to. room was as pictured. security cameras around to keep things as secure as possible. I left the room key in the room and only realized it after the office was closed and they were still happy to let me into the room with no additional costs.

Shower pressure was a little lower then what I personally like. Bathroom tap moved when turning it on and off and had to keep readjusting it.

We had a very pleasant stay and will definitely return on our next visit to Whangarei. The accommodation was conveniently located, with a clean room, comfortable beds, and strong, warm heat pumps that kept us cozy during the cold night. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. I noticed a few negative reviews on this site, but honestly, I'm not sure what more those guests were expecting—this place was excellent. A+++

This property has been recently renovated to a very comfortable standard. It’s also in a very handy location from the main road to Whangarei. The units have been freshly painted new tiling. The beds are very comfortable. Pillows are great and a great shower with good hot water pressure. The couple who owned and operate the motel are very friendly and helpful and the whole check process is quick and easy.

There’s nothing I didn’t like about the property.

Size of the two bedroom was awesome, attention to detail, the place is immaculate inside and out, hard workers from decor to gardens.

I appreciate that the owners must suffer often with errant guests, unruliness and loud music/parties, and I can sympathise that troublesome behaviour is frustrating, but it was truely a let down to be questioned over and over about how many people were staying, chastised about visitors (we had none), referred to the rules about visitors and had it made clear that they do not want trouble. It upset me otherwise our stay was good.

Very clean room & a comfortable bed.

We found the microfibre sheets rather strange to sleep in. Also we had trouble understanding the the lady in Receptions accent/English.

Friendly staff member I booked in with. She understood my requirements. A RA Scan to get the key when I arrived to go straight to the room after the scan. Scan was delayed 2 hours got back 4pm from 2pm. I went straight to my room.

Noise from next doors - both sides when they ran their kichen tap. It would have been great to have a 250ml box of milk. The room was reasonably quiet which I asked for. Firm Bed.

Entrance off main street. But I was able to use other quiet rear entrance through the street down the road.

Initially we were bit hesitant of staying here after reading few negative reviews but we had great rest while staying here overnight. Owner and receptionist were friendly and professional. Beds were super comfy and clean. Thanks!
