Location central to Whangarei Town and nearby to visit family & explore about the main centre Opportunity to relax in the spa & nice to have a refreshing cool dip in pool soon as we arrived after a long drive up! Walk in shower access made trip easy for disabled family guest .. staff were helpful and friendly upon arrival and kindly offered to assist with the TV set up for my parents.

One bed was rather low/too bouncy When departing the motel and returning we found the room was serviced though we placed a do not disturb sign, however it would have been appreciated that we were informed prior to the room service taking place so we could expect to know what time it would happen The room upon arrival didn't seem well vacuumed and there were some remaining marks..butter/food across the wall beside the bed perhaps from the previous guests

first thing i noticed was the smell of the reception office when we arrived. it smelt clean and lovely making the lovely chinese girl sitting behind the desk look beautiful and clean. she smiled as she talked and paid special attention to use very good English. she gave good comments as we passed her in the courtyard, very friendly and warm. the flat itself smelt very lovely and clean and the linen was presented nicely. the bed, although a little hard, was fine and the bed linen was clean. we only stayed one night but if we stayed longer i would've used the cooking facilities, i'm sure they were fine.

the shower plug didn't drain out very well meaning you stood in your own dirty water in the shower box but other than that, it was ok.

We have stayed previously so knew what to expect. We liked the Downstairs King Studio room as it has proximity to eateries and the comfortable facilities at this motel. We stayed 2 nights and were pleased the Sky TV remote replacement batteries because it wasn't working on the first night. We sampled the spa pool this time and appreciated the soak after working all day Love the Heat Pump, the generous bathroom and kitchen

Cutlery -we could do with more spoons and knives and forks as we like to cook. The tea coffee and sugar were not replaced on our second day so had to ask. Got sorted promptly though. The stovetop induction heating was a bit irritating as it timed out too much.

Rather 70s appearance but roomy, king bed, full kitchen in ours, excellent shower and full length vanity bench which helps when you're traveling with toiletry bags. Friendly staff. Walking distance to supermarket and easy access to town centre. Rooms back off the main road so quieter than expected. We booked this the same afternoon and I was very happy with what we got.

Decor a little older, but clean and comfortable - no complaints.

Good neighbourhood, walking to take outs and a pleasant stroll through the suburb. Two minutes by car to major shopping and 8min to the cbd. Awesome pool spa combination. Quiet at night. Parking in front of door. Cool rooms in summer heat even without aircon but it’s there if you need it. Full kitchen with induction stove and all the shebang. Spacious bathroom and toiletries. Proper dining table that sits at least 3. Enough place to setup a cot in the kids bedroom and walk around comfortable. A friendly cat :)

Tv is there but a Chromecast would have been nice.

I loved our stay and so did my son. Beautiful helpful staff. Would highly reccomend, we will stay here all the time when we come to whangarei now.

Please please please start the spa first thing in the morning. Would be great to have a morning spa. Sucks it turns off at 8pm as my son was still up so couldn’t sneak off for a dip without him lol. Spa was still beautiful big and clean.

Good access on both sides of property to drive in and out if one driveway was blocked by a vehicle Bathroom was nice and spacious with big bench space and nice size bathroom. Clean, nicely laid out. Great takeaways within walking distance was a bonus too.

Individual bed lights for those of us who like to read. They can be small embedded ones on headboard or wall. Main dining table directly under TV but armchairs further back mitigate this.

Loved the pool area and the spa, the workers were happy and kind. Our 2 single beds in bedroom were so comfortable. Room was very clean, great shower pressure. Just a short walk to heaps of food places.

Only downside we had was that the queen size bed was broken, one half of the base is snapped so the bed was on such a massive lean we could not sleep on it together.

The facilities were clean.

There was no extractor fan in the bathroom to vent the shower steam. There was a window however it was not appropriate to open while showering. The shower floor may be leaking as the floor in the shower was “spongey “ and the floor tiles around the exterior of the shower were wet/damp. No hooks in the bathroom to hang your clothes onto. Only one coat hanger in the wardrobe.

Very clean room loved it. Definitely our go to will be back. Staff was friendly. Parking is convenient and guess parking wasn't far. Is on a main road but quiet. Guess parking was down a quiet street. Very easy to get in and out of. Close to Shops and gas station.

That we didn't book for a extra day.Nothing to really fault.
