It was very clean. The towels and kitchen linen were changed each day plus the shower was cleaned and the rubbish taken away each day. It wasn’t noisy, it’s convenient and the host was great.

We would have liked a hot plate for porridge but used the microwave. Ventilation to the outside for the shower would be a good idea. Another door in the bathroom area would feel more comfortable

The manager owner Dave was the best we've ever had. Extremely thoughtful, took us to the LAB concert when taxis weren't turning up. Always asked if we were okay. Great communication. Called when we forgot our pillows. Recommend to all travellers.

Bed could have been softer. Perhaps purchasing bed toppers will be helpful 😉

Our host Dave was exceptional. On 2 occasions he went above and beyond to help us with a couple of problems we had. It was lovely to stay at a motel that was serviced each day. This is something we do not find very often any more

The only thing I would suggest is illuminating the motel sign at night. We found that in the dark, the motel was hard to locate

The unit was a bit shabby, necessities very clean but overall presentation needs some maintenance The beds very hard and uncomfortable. It looks better in the pictures online.

The hotel had good online reviews and the room lived up to that expectation. Had all the facilities I required for the length of time I was staying. Clean and well maintained. Comfortable.

I could hear the people in the next room for a while as they were talking loudly. This didn't last long though.

Immaculately clean. It was lovely to stay in such a beautifully clean & tidy environment. Often motels of this era look a bit tired so this one surpassed expectations. Nice welcoming owner

There was a sound that came through at night, sound like a washing machine. (Not every night. ) Motel sign could be abit more out there.

Dave’s friendly welcome, the location was so good, it was better on arrival than its photos depicted. Even though it was an older motel it had everything we needed, was extremely clean, we could walk to shops & restaurants…..a perfect spot to enjoy the sites of Whangārei!!

The sofa was uncomfortable

Didn't have breakfast Ideal location - easy access to everything Noticed a lovely clean self service laundromat in close proximity, ( Maybe you could make the visitors aware of that service if they wish to utilise it )

Location was handy to all amenities and very close to the town center, the staff were very friendly. The manager was very accommodating when I threw in an extra guest at no notice and quickly gave another room, top marks for that

No complaints at all
