Lovely warm welcome from the gentleman on reception, he was smiley, interested in us, chatty and most of all helpful. He gave us great advice on how best to see the Fox Glacier. Such a lovely welcome made us feel instantly at home. Our room was brilliant, just the right size to be comfortable without being too small or big. Very comfortable, good sized, double bed, and the blackout curtains meant we slept extremely well. Great to have own kettle, mugs, plates, cutlery etc. All very clean. We especially liked the space-aged shower cubicle, it was much bigger inside than it looked and spotlessly clean. Loved this place, would happily move in!! Happy to recommend.

That we had to leave after only one night!!

Hotel staff were wonderful - friendly, professional, helpful. Knowing we were staying three nights, they put us in a suite with a microwave and larger kitchenette. That made preparing meals so much easier. Our suite had small love seat and a small outdoor table and chairs just outside our room. The location is convenient, just a short walk to the local convenience store, restaurants and a few shops. Local attractions, hikes, glacier viewpoints are a quick drive away.

It could be a little noisy in the morning when guests were leaving, but it was never too early and it never woke us up.

The motel is on the main road, but quiet, and close to everything. The apartment was super clean and the bathroom was spacious. The whole area is beautiful, rainforest, and there are glowworms in the forest just behind the accomodation. The owner lady was very kind, she recommended us some nearby sights accessible by foot, as we had no car. There was a supermarket in town and you could get to Franz Joseph, Fox Glacier and lake Matheson. One of our favourite spots during our travels in New Zealand.

We loved everything!

At first I was disappointed that there appeared to be less to do around Fox Glacier, but Karen was really helpful and gave us some excellent local info, so I felt we had the best of Fox and Franz Josef glaciers. There is a glow worm walk just 2 minutes away which was fantastic. And we did sunrise at the Fox Glacier viewpoint.Both excellent. The unit was quiet, warm and cosy. Karen was generous and upgraded us to a larger unit as well, which made us feel very welcome.

We had everything we needed, so no complaints

We stayed here for one night on way through to south and was a well appointed room. Weather was awful so we struggled to dry our clothes, perhaps an airer would be useful for this wet weather area? Manager was lovely with lots of recommendations for guests and information on the planned road closures. The weather knocked the power out and the internet was very weak before the storm began and out completely during the storm. Was nice to have a recycling bin!

great wee space in the room, friendly staff and central to everything in town. Nice view of the town over the balcony on the second story. Shower soap and instant coffee provided. Trees behind the motel house Kia, that we could see and hear from the balcony of our room. And although it is next to the road, there is no road noise over night. Very quiet.

I found the lights outside shined through the room all night through the gaps in the blind. window on the side of the building would benefit from a curtain instead. otherwise everything was comfortable 😊

Purely a stopover and located close to the cafes in town for dinner and a drink at night and quick toasties and coffee in the morning. Close to Fox Glacier walk just down the road.

Stains on black blanket looked a bit iffy, and power blackout during the night after a storm, and no one in the office the next morning for anyone checking out. Other places had power on by 8am up the road.

Location was great and the lady on reception was lovely. She kindly upgraded us and the spa bath was great on a rainy evening.

Just a suggestion .. we had a large sofa in our room and felt that it would be more useful to provide a small table and 2 chairs instead (which we have actually had at all the other hotels in NZ so far). Other than that it was all very comfortable.

Staff were fantastic and location great and easy to find. The room was very confortable and bathroom modern. Facilities were great

Only thing that could of been better was that the room got hot in the afternoon. There were fans provided but no air conditioning. Window could be left open to assist with cooling the room but no screens and biting insects could enter.

We had a pleasant stay at the motel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made our visit even more enjoyable. Thanks for letting us heat up our food even after we had checked out -your kindness was greatly appreciated. Would definitely stay here again :)
