Location & facilities were very good & nice size room, the restaurant staff were wonderful & very helpful & friendly. Wonderful food both dinner & breakfast, highly recommend the restaurant. Loved the character of the old hotel.

Check in was a little tricky with having upgrading our room before we got there & they did not get notification of the upgrade & front desk receptionist could have been a bit friendlier.

Great location in the centre of town

We had 2 rooms that were at separate ends of the hotel, would have been good to have them closer. Breakfast was in sister hotel across the main road. Shower head was no good for anyone over 5’10

Lovely spacious room in a charming hotel. The room had recently been refurbished and had a good bed and nice linen. Very nice breakfast room and restaurant dining room and bar. Location near Lake Matheson was a plus.

The place is historic and well-kept. Central location. Amazingly friendly and funny receptionist helping to explain things and directions. Greetings again! Spacious room on the ground floor at the end of a connected building, all well-thought of. Good space for parking. Nice view.

Wi-fi did not work properly.

Room was large, not fancy but the bed was comfortable and the room had everything you needed. The meals in the pub were excellent and the service was good.

Just aesthetically it's strange, with the hotel rooms in what looks like dormitories and spread around a wide area. Our room was a bit noisy in the morning as it was near where the tour bus parked.

Very luxurious. Great location. And just a few mins down the road is dark sky and could see the Aurora Australis

It didn’t have an air con. It was quite stuffy and needed it.

Great staff, nice old hotel. Close to everything there is to do in Fox Glacier.

Rooms have an older feel to them if that's not your thing, but very nice for a historic hotel

Very centrally located at the main junction at Fox glacier. Walking distance to the caffès and the helicopter tour operators. A historic building approximately 100 years old but the interior has been renovated.

This was a lovely old hotel. The staff were friendly and looked after us. The rooms were large and clean. The food was delicious for dinner and breakfast.

The stairs were a little difficult to negotiate with luggage.

Good breakfast, free upgrade to king room, nice welcoming and providing umbrellas as it was pouring.

Breakfast bit far across the road around 100 metres from hotel at a different wing of the hotel.
