The location was great and only a short walk away from all the eateries in town and the grocery store. It's also a short distance away from the meeting point of a lot of adventure activities in Franz Josef. The motel provides small milk bottles which is great for warming up into a coffee or hot chocolate and some biscuits, provided by the motel. The motel also has great heater facilities, keeping the room warm during the colder days.

There should be some warning from all accomodations in the area that there is an air raid siren in town that can go off at any time and multiple times (including during the night). As a visitor hearing this for the first time waking me up out of a deep sleep was a shock and I had no understanding of what it meant. A quick Google came to relief as it's just a siren for the local emergency volunteers (not an avalanche warning like I first thought), but be prepared that you may hear it.

The motel was conveniently located in the small town of Franz Josef, within walking distance to all activities. We were fortunate enough to experience a short helicopter tour, but unfortunately, our 2.5-hour heli-hike tour was canceled due to weather conditions. We also enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour at the Wildlife Center, though heavy rain prevented us from doing any of the short hikes we had planned. The hotel room was clean, but quite small for two beds, with little space to store suitcases other than on the second bed. On the plus side, the kitchenette was well-equipped with everything necessary for meal preparation. Overall, it was a good stay for a reasonable price, and we would recommend it for anyone looking to explore the Franz Josef area!

The room was too small for two beds. There was barely enough space to move around, and it was challenging to eat comfortably. Only one chair could fit at the table, so the second person had to sit on the bed while eating, which was quite inconvenient. It would have been much more comfortable if the room had only one double bed.

The location of this hotel is perfect! It's within walking distance of the grocery store, restaurants, stores, and several attractions. There are also gorgeous views all around. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful; they informed us of the closing times of the restaurant and grocery store, and were also very informative regarding road closures. Bathroom was very clean and a small kitchen area was in the room as well. The beds were very comfortable and even had mattress heaters for both of them!

The room had a twin bed and a queen, but was too small to have both as well as room for luggage. There was also no way to indicate that we did not want the room serviced (i.e. a privacy sign). The parking lot is very small, so compact cars would work best.

Great location: walking distance from bus stop, restaurants, supermarket, kiwi center, helicopter rides, glacier and glowworm hikes. The host was quite helpful in providing hike suggestions and restaurant opening times as we arrived on Christmas day. Spacious living room for family activities. The coffee (Robert Harris) provided was particularly nice, much better than those in 4-star hotels later on our trip. Milk was provided from a glass bottle at the reception.

Shower head is fixed on the wall. The shampoo and shower gel provided, while it was usable, however it didn't feel nice, we ended up using our own. The cooking plate was weak, it took a while to heat up a pan or boil vegetables.

Perfect size for a family for a couple of nights. Enjoyed short walk to shops, this place is in town, good views on a clear morning. Easy parking, friendly service and nice to enjoy a spa bath.

i thought we had a 'kichen' but it was more like a kitchenette, the two hobs were slow to cook, however, there was a large electric frying pan which totally did the trick. Not a problem.

The shower was excellent! The fridge was great - a very good size for those who take more with them. The bed was comfy. Room was very clean. Location of the motel is very close to the centre of Franz Josef township, so an easy walk to everything.

The room was quite small & a little cramped with a chair next to the bed and only one bedside table. Toilet paper could be better.

A 5 minute walk from the main Bus Stop. One block over from shops, restaurants, and sightseeing agencies. A well kept and managed little property with a clean comfortable studio.

The small studio was a bit tight, even for one person. It was also located on the ground floor, a little too close to the parking lot.

Location is walking distance to everything in Franz Josef. Bella Vista has its own parking lot but even if it's by some chance full, there's tons of easy to find parking on the street. It was cool to have Kea birds right outside. We received some nice advice and recommendations from the staff, super nice! Overall, this place met our needs for our stay in Franz Josef.

The room was pretty small as it took a little strategic reorganizing to allow our suitcases to open up.

The location is brilliant - close to all restaurants and flights companies. The room wasn't huge but it was as described. Also it was clean and tidy.

We had a ventilation outlet in the room ceiling just above the bed/pillows, and it was runing during the night and the air was flowing to our heads on the bed. That was a little bit disturbing.

I like the location, very close to everything, food and activities. Staff are attentive to your needs. Cindy is very nice and accomodating.

They missed on servicing our room although I put a card outside our room. But no big deal, they immediately actioned it when I talked with them about it.
