By far the best Motel we have ever stayed at on the West Coast! We were upgraded to the Deluxe King room and what a treat that was! Spotless and fresh, and a really great size. Everything was beautifully appointed, from the bathroom to the kitchen to the bed and living space. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. Our room was situated facing the west, and at the end of our day, we had wonderful sun with a door opening onto a sheltered patio with table and chairs. There was no road noise from about 5pm which was perfect for us, and very little in the morning - we left just before 10am. Highly recommend as one of - if not the best Motel to stay in Greymouth and the Coast. 5 star plus from us!

Great place to stay! The bed was really comfortable, and our room had a spa bath, which was fantastic! Great air conditioning, comfy pillows, good sized towels, and right across the road from the local pub. The breakfast left in our room each night was great too. Toast, fruit, yoghurt, cereal. More than enough. It was one of the nicer motels I've stayed in.

I picked Coleraine because of their good reviews and they are well deserved. The property is not new and has obviously hosted many a traveller but it is so well maintained and very clean. Our 2 bedroom had a nice corner view of the street and was very spacious. We really appreciated how clean and tidy the room was and well laid out. We also really liked the warm, smiling, gracious welcome we received at the reception even though we were early for check-in. The day we checked in was a scorcher and really warm. They were kind and do prompt to give us a table fan. However, when we found the room fan..it was awesome! That fan is a serious commitment to guest comfort...it cooled the whole lounge. Absolutely loved it! Overall we were left with a feeling that the property owners really care and take pride in this accommodation. Thanks for the lovely stay.

Nothing we didn't like...but perhaps the lighting could be brighter.

It was exceptionally comfortable and there were excellent amenities. It far excelled the two motels I experienced closer to Christchurch, and for a far better rate. I wish the new managers the very best!

I suggest you change the window coverings for the windows that face the walkways - I could see inside my room from outside through the kitchen window and bathroom, despite the window treatment.

Lovely room. Definitely not your average motel room, the rooms even have plants! Everything was lovely, the managers were great. Rooms are very comfortable, shower fabulous, and has Netflix. Perfect! (And a pub over the road for dinner).

The staff were very welcoming our twin Studio was really cool beds were comfortable and the studio was nice and clean. I recommend staying here at the Coleraine Suites & Apartments we will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Lovely welcome at reception upon our slightly early arrival, and very happy to find that our request for adjoining ground floor rooms was available. Also that my very elderly mother of 90 years with limited mobility was perfectly catered for with a fabulous bathroom fitted out with wall handles and a shower with drop down seat non-slip flooring.

A few of the units have spa baths and there needs to be a late night time limit/curfew for using the spa jets as the rumble generated through adjoining units late at night is very disturbing for sleep.

Large rooms with everything that’s needed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Modern and very clean.

Excessive noise from other guests; yes we stayed on an incredibly busy night and people these days lack respect for others but it makes for a hard nights rest. We are also secluded rural dwellers so probably over sensitive to noise too.

The place was fantastic it was great being on the lower ground room as I had a kaumatua saying with me that night so she didn't have to climb the stairs. It's the best sleep I've had at a motel for years much appreciated 💜

Room was spacious, very clean and very comfortable. Just as always found when I have stayed at the Coleraine.

Would have preferred a room away from the main road, as a bit of traffic noise, but not too bad.
