The outdoor area with sea view was private. The sea view was stunning. The bed was wonderfully large and comfortable. Unit was besutufully furnished for our needs. We appreciated knowing milk was in a glass bottle and efforts recycling appreciated. Our initial met and greet we were provided enough information to access local area, this we appreciated. Coffee offered we personally like. We'll be back, thank you.

Driveway was steep... price for an amazing view and access to eateries. The shower was tiny... or maybe we're too large..

Friendly welcome at check in and first impressions on walking into the apartment were fantastic. Glorious light, airy space with beautiful views out of every window. Apartment well appointed with a decent separate bedroom with a comfortable bed. Kitchen well kitted out for self-catering and good lounge area with patio doors to sitting are outside. Close to the pub and restaurants in town (up and down a fairly steep hill). Good parking area immediately outside the apartment.

Very difficult to find fault with the apartment. Some coat hooks for outdoor jackets would have been nice but that's nit-picking.

The view! Best in Manganoui. We were in unit 5, with paying the little extra for. Chester welcomed us and was amazing, very kind. Fresh milk for hot drinks. The unit had everything you need for cooking if you wanted to but the local cafes and restaurants are great and 5 mins walk away. Bed was super comfortable, loads of space. Quiet. Day trip to cape Reinga ready 1h45 drive, or Karikari 30 mins, fabulous.

The view was so nice as I saw it in the picture. You can see both the sun rising and setting. Our children could run around and we did barbecue at tidy lawn. There were tomatoes, basil, eggplants, peppers, and lemons etc in the garden. There are three walkways in the accommodation, which are easy to access to supermarket, Mangonui wharf, restaurants, and Mangonui Heritage Trail.

The views are breathtaking! The room we had was so clean & enjoyed our morning tea and breakie outside soaking in the view! Everything needed was provided for in the kitchenette. The owner was SO kind and let us borrow their boogie boards so we could use on the sand dunes! We initially booked one night and loved it so much we booked a second! Definitely would love come back again! Also the Thai down the hill is worth a night out to enjoy.

Friendly staff and accommodated for our needs. Phoned to inform that we would arrive late, as we were at a tangi, office were very understanding and ensured check in was fine. Appreciated this. Also our view was absolutely beautiful, beds comfortable, warm & the whole place very clean. Kitchen clean too and had all the key appliances. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Thank you :)

One very minor issue - I would say the pressure of shower not strong enough, a little weak. Temperature was great no issue here water just didn't come out strong enough to how I like it.

The view from the bedroom and living area was simply incredible. Straight down the Mangonui Harbour from an elevated position.... I have never experienced such a spotless presentation of motel room. The kitchen bench was so shiny I almost needed dark glasses! The construction is not new, but the scenic windows and sliding doors in both rooms are, so they give a pleasantly modern appearance. The owners were delightful and most helpful. An absolutely wonderful play to stay. It's also very close the the town's amenities, which can be accessed by foot down a lit pathway.

The motel was spotlessly clean, with stunning sea views that made every morning special. The amenities were of excellent quality, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. The owner was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming back!

I organised to arrive late. Mangonui Motel maintained contact with me, letting me know my unit number, and leaving the light on for my arrival. I felt welcomed as I drove up! Peaceful. And the view is amazing Having stayed in several of the units, I really appreciate the different styles of the room, it feels like staying in someone's home. Ngā mihi nui

Beautiful views, comfy beds, nice layout, spacious, and they have fly spray available for pests.

The driveway can be daunting for new drivers, and there was a huge bug that kept my daughter up for most of the night, but other than that, we had a great stay!
