the location of this motel is ideal, in walking distance to the town centre and amenities, but in a quiet neighbourhood. Rooms are clean and spacious; good coooking facilities which make a long stay away from home comfortable. The staff is friendly and respond quickly to messages.

COuld do with an upgrade of the toilet and shower area. They are clean but small and impractical for more than 1 person. The stairs can be a problem for some people and particularly if you are traveling with heavy or big luggage.

Location (walking distance to shops, supermarket, eateries etc) and good sized room with a small balcony. The laundry (washer and drier) was available for a small charge, and the clothes line was also available if required.

There was no rubbish bin in the bathroom and limited storage space in the room eg only one bedside table (no drawers) and a mobile clothes rack. As we stayed for 5 days, it would have been nice to have somewhere to unpack some of our clothes eg a small set of drawers.

The place was extremely central to the area we wanted. A short walk to the river and cute cafes close by. The host was lovely and made the stay enjoyable. I booked a basic room for myself and my toddler and it was all we needed for a couple of nights stay. The room came with all that you needed eg tea, plunger coffee, salt and pepper, chopping board, toaster. Just the little things that make the stay extra special. The accomodation is close enough to walk to many places but being out of the main hustle and bustle. My toddler and I loved walking along the river which was nice even on a winters morning. There are many activities to see and do in Nelson and this place is pretty central to most of you like getting out on foot. But parking in Nelson anywhere is great especially if your on the hunt for a good playground like we were

Only downside was it was a little noisy in the evening when people would walk past the room

Yuki was a fantastic host!! She text me in the morning to see what time I was arriving and allowed me to check in early as I had an early flight. She made sure my room was cleaned first so I could use the room in the morning. I was very appreciative of this!

It would have been nice to have had a kettle to make a cuppa. I hadn't checked whether these facilities would be available when booking, so that's on me. Overall, had a fantastic stay :)

The owners generously offered to let me hitch with them, as they were travelling to Blenheim. Where I am currently based. Sadly, I had already booked other travel arrangements. So they gave me a map of Nelson & directions. This helped me get a feel of Nelson & was sooo convenient, as the motel is only a 5 minute walk from town. I would recommend this motel for all solo female adventurers like myself.

The motel and our room were bright, clean and welcoming. We arrived earlier than expected and were given the key to our room straight away with no extra charge. We had an upstairs room with a great view of the surrounding hillside. Just a short walk to the town centre and some very good restaurants along the way.

Not really a complaint as the majority of people wouldn't have a problem, but me and my husband are 6 feet tall and the fixed shower head was a lot shorter so had to contort my ageing body into some interesting positions in order to wash my hair 😁. As I say, not really a complaint but maybe something to think about if/when renovations are done

The location was perfect for me. I was exploring Nelson on foot. Therefore, the location was perfect. Close to a quirky café which was adjoined to the bus depot ready for my departure back to Christchurch. Close to the Maitai River Walkway which was so stunning with it's babbling river, trees full of tuis and beautiful landscapes both urban and rural. The location was also close to the city. My room was upgraded for the same price. It had everything I needed and was quiet.

Yuki was an awesome hostess answered messages straight away and despite being super busy managed to find time to sort us out quickly with no stress. We loved the large sitting, dining & kitchen pretty good layout. The beautiful dining table was perfect for sharing a large family meal around. The room had a lovely sunny outdoor area. Beds were super comfy and thank God for extra blankets & electric blanket.

Myself and family stayed for 2 nights the room was beautiful beds were extremely comfortable. Yuki the manager is an absolute star, she went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as perfect as it could be. She’s a really lovely lady and the hospitality she showed us is what made our stay so perfect, thanks Yuki we will be back !!
