Location was perfect for our visit. Right in town, shop for groceries about 200m down the road. The room was just what we required, clean and comfortable.

We had problems with getting a car park for just for 1 night. We were charged for 3 nights and when we went to the car park later in the evening there were no car parks available. We had a discussion with the reception on the Sunday morning and was advised that they would need to talk to the manager. We checked out early the next morning. I sent 2 emails over 4 days and eventually made a direct phone call on day 5 - I ended up speaking with the manager, who quickly agreed to a full refund. As it was a weekend, the public car park behind the building is free after 1pm on Saturday. A real hassle, but I stuck with it. Also, were not aware that our room was not serviced on the Sunday, so as we had a washing machine and a drier, we simply did our own washing.

We always choose Quest because we know their standard is consistent. We stayed 7 nights in the smallest unit which has two single beds, dining table a little ground floor outdoor enclosure facing the car park. The unit is well proportioned but couldn’t fit in an oven but the microwave and cook tops is sufficient for us. It’s well located in town centre, everything you need is accessible within 5 minutes walk. Great pub across the road too. The sound proof is quite good, once the door/window is shut, it blocks out most of the noises from outside.

Please upgrade the TV it’s lagging and not smart, no Netflix, YouTube, free channels are limited too.

The Quest is located a few minutes' walk from the shopping area of Nelson, which also was close to the areas used for our conference. The room was facing Buxton Square and on the second floor, so it had a pleasant view and some sun. The room was close to the lift, comfortable and warm, and well serviced. We met members of the very friendly cleaning staff from time to time, who were efficient in their work.

We didn't get the TV to work to watch the news... (not very technologically inclined, so perhaps we missed the instructions somewhere....) It didn't matter, because we were not in Nelson to keep up with the world's events!

We loved the actual location of Quest in Nelson - so central, and handy to a supermarket too, and a number of eateries nearby. Great to see that after 10 years, the carpets are progressively being replaced. The whole facility is smart and tidy, and nice to see preventative maintenance being undertaken.

There is no actual prominent sign at the actual street - so for 1st time guests, it is easy to drive by and then have to drive around the block again. This happened to friends of ours who stayed for the 1st time.

Good room on level 4 was so much better than the ground room I had on the 11th February. Very good location

Lack of availability of the front staff. I waited while the staff "attended to another guest" before returning to the front desk. Finally they arrived and provided the key. When I came back downstairs to ask about a taxi for the next day and the sign was up again that they were "attending to another guest". I went out and came back and a new sign was up that the staff had finished for the day. I don't blame the staff but there seems to be a policy of minimal staff employment.

Excellent set up in the apartment - washing machine, dishwasher, pot, pan & utensils were great! Staff were very helpful, especially when my parents Air NZ flight was cancelled and we needed the room another night - it was no issue and they could even stay in the same room and not have to move (they're in their 80's). The rooms have walk-in showers so easy access for my parents and they were very accommodating with 2x single beds in the rooms for both my parents and myself and son.

My room was over the walkway and looked out over a main carpark and was very noisy at night. The air conditioning had some issues, especially in my parents room which was roasting! Apparently there were several other passengers with similar issues.

The room was spacious, and the view was panaramic, from the town centre to the hills surrounding the town. there was plenty of space for storing my things, except in the bathroom. The kitchenette was well stocked, except I only used it for making my breakfast.

The bathroom was tiny, compaired with the rest of the unit, and there was little vanity top for putting my toiletries. The shower stall was too tiny, and the shower door opening was too close to the toilet.

Location was great, walking distance to shopping, market and buses. Right next door to my favourite restaurant and really close to my favourite supermarket. Facilities were great We loved the free movies, even though most were old and hokey.

I had requested two single beds and the room had one queen or king. That was disappointing. We were really happy it came with a washer/dryer, but no instructions how to use it, and the dryer didn’t dry the clothes properly even after several attempts.

The room was quite spacious and clean. Great facilities including a fridge and mini-dishwasher. The bed was huge and very comfortable. There was even a washing machine in the bathroom - great for longer stays when you want to do some laundry.

It was a tad noisy in the mornings as my room backed onto a car park with industrial bins and they were collected twice during my stay and it was early.

The location is extremely convenient, and the room is generally clean.

One of the more experienced staff members was not very friendly, but the younger staff and the cleaning team were all very pleasant and welcoming. I did notice some orange stains on the toiletry kit, and the spare toilet paper wasn’t wrapped. It was placed on the handrail next to the toilet, which raised concerns that it may have been contaminated by toilet flushes during previous guests' stays.
