The level of cleanliness was outstanding, as was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - at both the reception and the housekeeping staff. Central location and very handy to walk into town. Ample carparking available.

We had an upstairs room with an individual balcony - a great combination. Maybe a different experience in a downstairs room or one of the upstairs ones with the communal balcony/walkway.

Lovely room, very spacious and comfortable. Sports channels on TV were a hit with my husband. Nice walk to the marina, cute puppy in the reception area!

A staff member let herself in to our room while we were in there to ask us “Are you leaving today?” at 10.15am. We were in the process of packing up at the time and had checked out of every other motel on our trip between 10 and 10.30am with nothing said. It was a bit of a shock having someone walk in - strange, we thought! Especially when it did not appear to be busy at all.

We loved the location which was in easy walking distance of cafes, restaurants, parks, and galleries in downtown Nelson. The river walk was nearby which was very pleasant. The bed was comfy and the room was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The bathroom was very well equipped but the shower was a step up from the floor and care needed to be taken stepping in and out.

The owners were absolutely outstanding - warm, friendly and genuinely welcoming. The room was spotless and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the fresh milk provided. The location was perfect - very close to the Nelson markets - making it easy to explore. Everything was well cared for and the atmosphere felt inviting. Highly recommended. Thank you again.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, the owners and staff are lovely. Location is central and close to everything with an added bonus of how close the supermarket is for all those forgotten to pack items. The facilities are great, shower pressure is a massive bonus, love that they are a more eco motel. The pool is also great. The best place to stay with kids. Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back!

The Palms Motel location was excellent, it is quiet, has a supermarket across the road and can walk to town. The room was spacious and clean, good cooking facilities. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. We would stay again.

We can only say good things about our stay, the location is great, the room was great, the bed was really comfy, had everything needed for our stay. All the staff were excellent.

The Palms Motel is the Best in Nelson,by far!. Units are very clean,beds are great,awesome aircon,kitchen,and spa bath is sensational. Brooke was so welcoming, and helpful,and her staff are all friendly and everyone there goes the extra mile to make sure your stay with them is the best it can be. Palms Motel is also ideally situated to Restaurants, Supermarkets,ect,.

Amazingly acommodative and big kudos to her The pool was perfect on a perfectly hot summer day with heaps of towels available Not anything to complain about except too many duvets for summer on the bed. The staff were friendly So close to town. All within walkable distance Thank you so much 😊

Fantastic location close to shops, cafes & bars, also nice walkways around the area. The motel has all the facilities you will need.

The cleaning staff were poor, when they serviced our room our bed was only pulled up & not made. The cleaning was mediocre.

Lovely, clean, modern units. Very warm and cozy, clean linen, a decent tv, well equipped kitchenette, nice bathroom, privacy, beds were firm but comfortable and fresh. Staff were super efficient and welcoming. Pool was a nice bonus. Very close to the centre of town and Woolworths for a convenient shop! Definitely one of the best motels I've stayed in.
