When we first turned up at Collingwood Manor we was impressed with how it looked, then we stepped inside we was even more amazed. Then we met Ray who introduced himself and told us about the facilities & amenities & good places to eat & drink. We then he showed us our room which was amazing. The beds were very comfortable. We was under no pressure what time we had breakfast, he would fit with us, it was very nice and good start to the day. Then on the day on leaving, Ray told we could have a late check out if we wanted or leave our bags there for the day as he knew our flight was until the afternoon which we was very grateful. Then to with our big thanks when it was time to leave he rang & booked a taxi to airport for us. Would definitely stay there again.

The hosts were exceptional in their helpfulness, even before our arrival. Home was beautifully restored Victorian era, filled with art of many kinds. The hosts knew a great deal about every piece of their art. It was about a 5 minute walk to town center, so location was great. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Our hosts even drove us to the airport for our flight out! Such kindness is seldom seen. We very much liked Nelson’s personality, probably largely influenced by the efforts of Ray and Jules.

I honestly cannot think of anything I didn’t like.

Easy walk to town and yet in a quite setting. Very nice decorated house and room - feel like at home. Jay was so nice and picked me up from the bus stop at night - super helpful in particular at the night. Breakfast was great, and served with style. hosts were very nice and always want to help.

The breakfast was all we needed to get the day in motion. Ample cereals, granolas and fresh fruit topping. The option to have an egg was offered. The old house had charm and is very well maintained and loved by our host & hostess.

Only the weather could have been improved.

Great location. Lovely property, Ray and Jules weee very welcoming and friendly. Beautiful, gracious old home with lovely sunny verandah, perfect for morning coffee and a book. great walking distance from restaurants and shops.

The charm of an old Villa, good sized rooms, decor and very friendly, helpful host. And a great breakfast and walking distance to town. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

The breakfast was great, very substantial! The boys loved their bacon and egg ‘butties’ made especially for them. Loved the use of the guest lounge! Ray and Jules are great hosts!

Very friendly and discreet staff; a fantastic historic house, very authentic to step back in time; quiet; ample breakfast with classy fruit salad, nutritious bread, hot food option. Two suitcase racks, so you don't have to bend to the floor for things.
