After a seamless check in for 2 nights, Willie provided great hints of what to do in town including maps, with easy parking on site near our room. Our large room was perfect with windows and a rear door for fresh air. A very comfy bed, large lounge, mini kitchen with small kitchen table, excellent wifi, TV with sky channels for sport etc (if needed). No a/c but a room heater for cool nights. A laundry on site at a small cost, check with reception for hours of availability. Even though the motel is on the main thoroughfare, we heard no noise from our room.

Our room was sparkling clean and a good size. There was also a kitchenette with everything you might need neatly stored away in the cupboards. The bathroom was also large with a lovely shower cubicle. I liked that things you might need, but not all the time, were stored in the undersink cupboard, keeping the room tidy and organised. The large bed was very comfortable and had lots of blankets, including an electric one (!) in case it was cold. The TV was a good size and had SKY TV channels but we didn't watch it that much. The host and hostess were very friendly and helful, making several suggestions where we might eat etc.

The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had been modernised and the shower was good. There was a separate kitchen area with a microwave, stove top hotplates and fridge, so you could cook a basic meal if you wanted to. Basic cooking requirements and crockery were also supplied. You could pay extra for a continental breakfast but we chose to go into town for something more filling.

The loud ticking clock, which was high up on the wall. I would like to have taken the batteries out!! This motel is on the main road, so there was constant traffic initially but it did quieten down.

It was really spacious. It had two big rooms, comfy beds, a fully equipped kitchen and a huge lovely bathroom. It was lovely and clean and we could park outside. Great value for money.

It was a little noisy but quietened down. The TV was small, no streaming (not Smart) and we couldn’t raise the volume. There was sky and some films. But couldn’t hear them.

Good location, the property was newer than I thought from the photo on booking.com . Clean, spacious, good they had electric blankets on the beds

Bathroom mirror fogging up - probably need an extractor fan. Yes the windows open and there's a heater (good idea that it's on a timer) but frustrating with a steamed up mirror trying to put make up on on dry hair with a dryer. Acknowledge there's a mirror in the bedroom area but bathroom easier.

Everything is decent. Old motel but very clean. We arrived quite late, but the staff was considerate to call us and confirming that he was still on site. It was very nice gesture.

The motel gave us an expired milk ( 2days). We told them about it. But the staff said it is just fine. I don't think it should happen in this business. Even though the milk was still ok. But what if the guest fall sick? It was just inappropriate for me.

Beautifully renovated room, loved the blue wall, bed was very comfy and electric blankets were a bonus, loved the comfy couch to relax on and watch tv after a busy day. Staff were great and very helpful. Parking was easy. Oamaru was a very interesting place to visit especially the old Victorian precinct.

Nothing. We would have booked another night if we had the time.

It was very comfortable and location is great! The unit is self contained with plenty of utensils and amenities for our convenience. Parking is right in front of the unit and each room has one lot which saves a lot of headache.

Laundry can only be done at certain hours which limits our ability to use it when we returned late in the night.

A good kitchen; a friendly and helpful staff; reasonably comfortable beds; a not-too-long distance by car to the Victorian Heritage Precinct, Steampunk HQ, and Oamaru Public Gardens; a close supermarket.

A rather narrow entry to the motel from the one-way main street; a limited space to keep clothes; a too small TV screen; too long reponse delays of the TV hindering too much its remote control.

Good quality linens and roomy spaces. Lots of local information in the folder in the room.

Noisy traffic from main road so we had to have the door closed. Lack of privacy from car park with no sheer curtain- needed curtains open for light in the room. A shelf or two in the bathroom would be handy to put personal items on.
