Large room, well appointed - kitchen, large bathroom separate bedroom for toddler. Great location for town. Good fridge, sockets for charging things

The kitchen could do with an extraction fan and the room was very cold even with heaters on (single glazed) and allocated an upstairs room with a small child was less than ideal as lots of luggage and pram etc to take up a flight of stairs. Room smelt a little funny like old chinese takeaway but could not open window as was too cold.

Excellent customer service, location was a very short distance from town but I was happy to walk. Only took literally 5 minutes. Facilities were 10/10. Second time staying here and will definitely be booking again when I return to New Zealand. Thank you so much for a great stay. 😁 See you next time

Everything was great!

First time at BV in Oamaru. We were travelling south and due to a motor accident we had to turn around and find accommodation in Oamaru. Staff very friendly, nice and clean. Right next door to the Golden Arches so the next morning I could walk less than a minute and order my coffee!!

Room was clean and tidy and location great. Coffee maker was appreciated.

Room had a very overpowering perfumed air fresher smell when we arrived, opening windows for a couple hours fixed it. There wasn’t much space in the room. No table to eat breakfast at and we were pretty cramped with three of us. But these are minor complaint.

The room was pretty, clean & well-equipped. Enjoyed the unique coffee machine with capsules. It was a bit difficult to understand how to use it from the diagram on the wall - it would help to have a write-up.

The classic car group partied loudly in the room next to ours, but mercifully they went to bed by midnight.

The motel was conveniently situated for our purpose and had everything we needed to prepare an easy evening meal, with food n=bought at a nearby supermarket, We enjoyed using a table and chairs on the upper level balcony to eat out meal. The staff were very helpful as I left something hanging in a wardrobe and they sent it on for me.

Good location for easy access to places to eat and shops without needing to drive. We stayed there so we could go see the blue penguins in their natural habitat at dusk when they return from the sea to their nesting area. The penguin conservation centre, where they tell you about them, and you see the penguins arrive is well worth the 40NZ per person. Only a short drive from motel. Bed was very comfortable and shower good too. Useful having basic kitchen facilities and off road parking. All in all good value stay.

Always a consistent high standard.

A bit of trouble finding power switches and plugs for electric blankets and heating. Bathroom heater seemed to be cycling on the over-heat cutout.

Great for our 3 day visit. Small kitchenette in compact room but everything we needed. Staff happy to wash dishes but everything is supplied if you prefer to do it yourself. Comfortable bed and great shower.

Right on the main road so easy to find and access. Modern and clean, nice decor, lovely. Friendly welcoming staff.

My only beef is a small one really: instructions. I couldn’t figure out how to work the heater, coffee maker or TV channels. Some brief instructions would have helped a lot. I did leave feedback in the room.
