This property had everything on offer. It was so well thought out. Dawn had really put herself into her guests shoes and thought if every comfort one could possibly want. My family only had one night but we had such a happy stay, especially compared to places we have stayed in on our onward travel. We couldn’t believe just how spacious the house was upstairs. The bathroom was new and beds very comfortable. We would definitely recommend others to stay here. Thank you Dawn, you were an amazing host.

A proper partitioned wall between the main house and guest section would be handy to reduce noise for both sides. My kids can make a bit of noise so we were a little conscious the main house might have been disturbed by us. Every other thing was amazing.

It was a spacious two bedroom apartment with its own outside decking and entrance . Inside was warm, cosy and well appointed. The provisions left for breakfast were great. The owner was friendly and gave us some good sightseeing suggestions which we appreciated. She thoughtfully provided two warm rugs for us to take when visiting the penguins at night.

It felt unusual not to have a small sink to wash the few dishes in but this was explained when making the booking so we were prepared for this and besides it was quite the novelty to have the washing up fairies visit unobtrusively to remove these dishes and provide clean ones !

Clean and comfortable two bedroom duplex accommodation ideal for short stay in Oamaru.

The accommodation is part of the main house and although a separate entrance and completely private/ separated from main house, noise can travel between the owner's space and the guest accommodation and vice versa. This was not an issue for us and the owner was very considerate advising us of this. However light sleepers in twin room may hear bathroom plumbing when this is used in main house. The main bedroom is very quiet with a comfortable bed.

Paid extra for my partner for fried breakfast, it huge, cooked well and tasty! Excellent. Landlady suggested about visiting the blue penguins - so we did - what a great tip off was a super evening. Easy to find, safe off road parking and quiet position away from road.

Angled bottom step of staircase. It proved troublesome everytime for my other half, yet I seemed to not notice it! Maybe the last step needs a different colour carpet so it doesn’t blend in. When we returned from penguin tour at night, we struggled to see to put the key in door and then find the light switch which was located on the opposite side of the room.

Beautiful gardens, a great variety of food left for breakfast (kids especially loved the pikelets) and even some special Christmas treaties :) Lovely friendly host.

There was no sound proofing between the flat and the main house so we could hear hosts conversations and we quite aware that meant that they could probably hear our noisy kids too. A skylight in the main bedroom did mean that I woke very early from the light but it affected others less.

Nice, cosy and warm flatette, with relaxing and soothing decor. Lots of little extra touches, like cotton wool balls provided in the bathroom etc. The hosts were friendly, checked in to make sure everything was okay and also respected your privacy. Situated in a very convenient location, with good off street parking and felt safe and secure. Surrounded by beautiful gardens. A very comfortable stay.

The hosts Sam and Dawn are very warm and nice people. They were very inviting and helpful with the arrangements. The house part where the guests reside has separate entrance and a garden so quite quiet and peaceful. The bedrooms and the toilet upstairs were neat and stocked up with the necessary supplies. So no issue of oh I forgot to bring my face tissue or hand towels.

There is not much not to write here. Its a neat place with beautiful soul people. One bit was the absence of a kitchenette and a sink to wash some dishes and fill up drinking water was little meh. After finishing the water in the bottles going to the owners for water may not be liked by everyone. Was fine with us though.

Lots of thought has gone into furnishing the rooms in a heritage fashion. Showers had good water pressure, gardens nice, parking safe and convenient, staff very pleasant, location great although a little confusing to find initially. It was nice to have the heat turned on prior to our arrival.

Hot tub was broken, but these things happen. Breakfast was underwhelming.

Very quiet. Lovely garden and friendly hostess. House was a little tricky to find, but we worked it out from house numbers. Comfortable little sitting area. Good shower pressure.

Cooking smell from host side of the house traveled through to our side and made for a rather unpleasant evening on our second night there. Did NOT like the paper notices stuck everywhere which were peeling off in places.

It had everything we needed plus extras. We were welcomed with a delicious afternoon tea. Dawn was a friendly host who gave us helpful suggestions of where to eat. Breakfast was provided and was very nice. It was perfect for what we needed.

The water pressure was low and I couldn't get any hot water from the basin. It was a little tricky to see the house number as the property was on the main road, maybe a sign or bigger number would help.
