The location was great and the overall feel of Old Bones Lodge is so so warm and inviting :)) Karen waited up to greet us as we arrived at 10:30pm.

It would be good to potentially think about putting in a late arrival procedure. It was amazing that Karen stayed up but also we felt bad knowing she had to. If there were some basic instructions and a location to grab the key that would be great. However the hospitality was amazing 10/10.

The lounge is very cozy. -The staffs are really nice. -The lodge is away from the town centre. So in a nice weather you might be able to see the galaxy in the garden.

The lounge is surrounded by all the rooms,which looks really cool and nice. But on the other hand, it could also makes everyone feel noisy if people is chatting loudly in the lounge.(luckily it didn't happen to us cuz we don't have much people checked in that day.) -There is only one shower got a heater. The rest of the shower are quite cold ❄️

The hot tub overlooking the sea was definitely an amazing experience and the reason why we wanted to stay at the lodge.

I was disappointed to only find out that the cost of the hot tub was almost as expensive as the accommodation. While it was worth the money; I feel that is something that should be advertised when booking not after the nonrefundable confirmation email is received.

Lovely spacious communal dining and relaxing area, very well-equipped kitchen, everything super clean and tidy, comfortable beds, ideal setting so close to a beautiful beach. An easy drive to Oamaru. Steampunk HQ is a must-see, it's wonderfully quirky, and historic area is great. Excellent value.

Some sofas a bit tired, showers had very limited space because of the way the plumbing had been done, music was fairly unobtrusive but not really necessary; the scenery and setting are fine as is.

The location is perfect. Short walk down to the beach, can sit outside at night and listen to the waves and look up at the stars. Bed was comfy and facilities were all clean and tidy. Very helpful owners who had some great tips on what to explore in the area. Price was well worth it. Twin bedroom was perfect size for what we needed for an overnight stay. No complaints at all.Would def stay here again!

This place is fabulous. Beachfront location a few minutes out of town. Super comfortable with everything you need to have a relaxed getaway - fully equipped kitchen, gorgeous hot tubs, comfy beds, towels and linens provided. Ample free parking onsite. Helpful, friendly owners. Large living/common area with comfy couches and lots of natural light. Shared bathrooms are clean and spacious. Cherry on top was the jigsaw puzzle under construction on the coffee table - was a huge hit with the other guests too!

The Lodge was excellent. So clean throughout and of high standard. Beautiful views and able to have a beautiful walk on the beach. So peaceful and a beautiful dining , lounge Kitchen area. Well stocked with everything you need. The bathroom were lovely. Comfy beds and two way access was excellent. The owner was a lovely lady whom made sure we understood how to get in after dark and that we had everything we needed.

Nothing at all

Everything is provided, tea coffee, cooking facilities, even liquid soap in the bathroom. It is a warm and friendly atmosphere. Very clean. The option to have a soak in the hot pools is a luxury.

Something that notifies the owners when people arrive at Old Bones would be great. So they are not left waiting. Whether the alarm is on the gate as you drive in or the door.

The lodge was close to the town but remote en not to hear any traffic or cars, it had a great view of the ocean and beach and the grounds were beautiful. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed as was the common area. It was nice to have a fireplace for the evening.

The receptionist was very friendly and showed us our rooms. Which were really neat and quite comfy. The location was fantastic being really close to the beach
