Alpine Motel was centrally located with a short walk in to the main town with the local attractions. It was also close to Countdown the supermarket and a number of eateries within easy walking distance. It has a nice selection of eating utensils and a kettle with tea/coffee. The room was lovely and warm and on a cooler wet winter night, this was a welcome escape.

I think everything was lovely, my only negative comment would be that the tea/coffee selection was limited. There was one tea, Dilmahs every day tea and one coffee nescafe coffee and then sugar, no other tea etc options which these days I would routinely see. I think this would only be an issue if you didnt like either of these options.

The friendly reception when we arrived. The exceptional way of ensuring we had a most comfortable and pleasant stay. Eventhough it is an older and ordinary motel on state highway one the road noise was not a problem for us. The cooking facillities were adequate.

There is nothing to not like It was great value for money and the total experience exceeded what I would expect for 3 star.

Booked last minute and host was very friendly and accomodating when we arrived. The following morning host was helpful again when we asked for information on places we wanted to go to before leaving town. Was only there for one night as was a stop off after a long drive. Beds were comfortable. Close and easy walk to city centre. Had an oven in the kitchen as well so that was a bonus especially if staying longer. Would certainly stay again if we are back in Oamaru again.

Can't say that there was anything we didn't like. It was exactly what we required.

This room was great! Very spacious and it comes with four beds. The room is cozy and nice. They also provide extra blankets in the closet, what a warm surprise. A dining table and sofa makes ppl feel right at home. It was also very clean. We had a wonderful stay here.

Tissue paper was used out pretty soon, and there’s to substitute in the room(or we couldn’t find it). We ended up using toilet paper instead.

Clean & cozy room Bed was softer than I’m used to, but had a great nights sleep Loved giving some fuss to the beautiful wee dog. Just what I needed! Assuming it was the owner I dealt with on checking in & out. Very welcoming 3rd time staying here & would stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting Oamaru

Our stay at Alpine Motel was superb. The room we were given was a perfect size and the owner of the motel was very friendly and willing to help with anything. The location of the motel was perfect as it was within a ten minute walking distance to all the major shops and restaurants in town and very close to the beach.

The motel had a well-equipped kitchenette with plenty of utensils, which was very convenient. Easy to park, just in front of the door. Easy to get everywhere.

Some of the kitchenware wasn’t very clean — it seemed like the previous guest may not cleaned up properly.

Great location, only 1km from precinct. There are plenty of eateries nearby. The beds were comfortable. It's great to have a full kitchen. I emailed and phoned the property and had a prompt, friendly on both occasions. The unit was clean and airy. Would definitely stay again.

Really DIDN'T like the over done deodoriser used to extinguish the odours left by the previous occupier.However we opened the Louvre windows on the east side and security window on street front. Went 4 meal.All good!

The room was great value. It was only for me but had four beds etc, so for a family it be a good price. It had everything I needed and was tidy. Staff were great.

Nothing as such, it just could have done with a freshen up.
