A fantastic location just a five minute drive out of Russell in a quiet pocket close to two really lovely beaches. The apartment is modern, spacious and bright. Large bathroom with big walk in shower. Kitchen very functional and everything needed to prepare a meal. Good supply of glasses and crockery. Good coffee machine with coffee pods supplied. Sea views from the deck and dining room. A five minute stroll to large sandy beach where you can swim and a one minute walk to a Stoney beach. Beach towels supplied which was very welcome. There are walks direct from The property up to Tapeka Point to get amazing views and approx 45 minutes into Russell on a beautifully maintained and lovely shaded walk through the trees. Definitely worth a few days to relax and hike. Good supermarket in Russell and plenty of places for a drink or to eat. Could have easily stayed a second week. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Fabulous hosts - very friendly and supportive. Met us upon arrival. Helped us with parking the car. It is a great quiet location with an excellent internal and external layout. Fabulous terrace in front of the house. Well insulated, very private, you can hear the kiwis at night. House is a very modern build to a high spec. Feels very relaxing and well laid out.

Need to be aware of the steep driveway and where to park upfront. The hosts managed the situation fabulously, so it wasn't an issue.

Robins Nest is one of the nicest holiday lets we have stayed in. It is situated at the top end of a quiet street with distant views of the sea and - with a car - you are very well placed to explore everywhere around Russell. There are beautiful walks from the doorstep, including a lovely nature trail into Russell itself. The accommodation is perfect for 4 people, with two good-sized and extremely comfortable bedrooms, a large bathroom, and a large open-plan kitchen / diner / sitting room. The whole place is freshly decorated and very comfortably furnished. We really couldn't fault it and we couldn't have wished for a better place to stay for our short visit to this beautiful part of New Zealand. We should also say that Sharon and Paul are perfect hosts: communication in advance was easy and helpful, they made us feel welcome and gave us useful advice while remaining discreetly in the background.

Nothing could have been better: it was absolutely ideal!

The location is great. The unit was nice and we had everything we needed during our stay.

There is a bit of misrepresentation about this property. It is actually a downstairs unit of the main house, with owners living above the unit. It would be fair and honest to disclose this fact right at the top of the property description, as, for many, this would be a decision-making factor. We were looking for a holiday house away from the noise, which was a bit hard with a family living above us.

The set up is a great place to unwind and relax. It has everything you need, including a coffee machine. It is only a short walk to 2 bays, one for playing or relaxing in the sand/swimming, and the other stony for exploring rockpools and potentially snorkeling.

It has a very steep driveway, which you need to reverse down if you drive your car up. We decided to park on the road and carry our bags. Lucky we didn't have a lot, so potentially not that suitable with those with very young kids, or the less able bodied.

Robins Nest was a fantastic place for us to stay as a family for a long weekend. We really enjoyed the location and being able to walk to the local beaches and that is was very easy to drive over the hill to Russell to explore the local area. The host was friendly and we enjoyed our stay here.

The hosts were lovely - so friendly, extremely accomadating, and very helpful! Great facilities, everything you need is available to cook meals etc. and lots of great information on local things to do, recommendations, maps etc. Location is excellent too, only a 2-3 minute drive from down and has beautiful views and situated in a beautiful piteresqye cul de sac

There is a little bit of noise from upstairs (just footsteps, the occasional door opening closing etc.)

Everything was very good for my wife & myself, but there is only one comfortable sofa that would seat 3 people, no comfortable chairs. If 4 adults used the property, one would have to sit in a uncomfortable chair.

Absolutely stunning spot in Russell to spend your holidays in. Both Sharon and Paul were super hospitable. The place is super close to beautiful beaches and trek. The town is also not too far. Will surely visit again!

The location was beautiful with a lovely view. Hosts were kind and greeted us on arrival. The location was handy for us to head into Russell for dinner and activities. There’s also a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed!
