Location and view was excellent. Was initially given apartment with no view despite booking and discussed with front desk who then switched us over. Make sure it’s documented clearly if not booking directly with hotel re: apartment w view! They initially didn’t honor it and luckily switched after check in!

Offering apartment with view on booking.com should be honoured even if not booked directly with them! I pointed this out initially and they still gave me an apartment with no view…

Excellent location near to the Ferry Terminal and Fish Market. A wonderful choice for breakfast - I am on a low carb diet and there were plenty of choices nuts, fruit yoghurt cheese ham salami smoked salmon, salad as well as a cooked breakfast if you wanted.. We had a Junior apartment with harbour view which was amazing. We also had a fridge which was really useful for keeping milk, cheese and cold meat. Most supermarkets have a salad bar so on some days we had a salad lunch. The fish market is a great place to eat. Free tea and coffee is available all day in the foyer. The standard lamp in our room didn't work and was switched the same day. Room was cleaned daily.

Would rather have had a kettle than a coffee maker in the room.

The top things to highlight are the location, the view and the staff. If you arrive by train and wish to explore Bergen on foot, the location of this hotel is hard to beat; it is smack in the center, by the waterline, close to everything. And if you are lucky enough to get a room facing the waterline and city center, the view is unbeatable - absolutely fantastic, making spending time in the room on the window-side bench an experience to remember. Moreover, I must commend the staff: we noticed on arrival that the slatted bed frame/base was broken - it took the receptionist less than 5 minutes after reporting the issue to single-handedly bring in a new bed base and replace it - excellent service! The room otherwise looked clean. The breakfast was also good with many choices (also vegan), served in a spacious dining room overlooking the waterline and city.

The windows do not open, making you dependable on the ventilation system. However, the ventilation system was very loud (almost like somebody would be vacuuming or using the hairdryer in the next room all the time), even if the fan speed was turned down to minimum. It was also somewhat inefficient, as the room was a bit stuffy and humid (water condensation on the inner side of the windows). I would have loved to be able to simply open the windows briefly.

The staff member that greeted us at the hotel around the corner was quite rude and very unhelpful. We arrived a couple of hours early and asked if we could leave our luggage until check in later (which is pretty standard at hotels around the world). She just said no. She said our apartment was ready, but we would have to pay a fee to get our keys early. When we asked for a map and directions and she was very unclear and said “it’s just up the road”.

Stylish hotel. Superb breakfast. Excellent location short walk from central station and immediately opposite the famous fish market.

One elevator not work so everyone including service staff using one small elevator. Rooms stylish but do not have a kettle to make a drink.

I loved the location, close to all you need to visit in Bergen I liked the size of the room. As a triple room it was spacious enough The around the clock complimentary costa coffee at the lobby was a nice treat.. we truly enjoyed it!

These are minor points, but … The room decoration was a bit bizarre EVERYTHING is patterned. The wall, the floor, the curtains, the bed covers .. and all are in colours that are not necessarily matching.. it made the room a bit intense.. If you’re out and about and not spending a whole lot of time in the hotel, then obviously this is not a big deal ..

I recently stayed for two nights at Magic Hotel and Apartments Kloverhuset, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The location is absolutely perfect, offering easy access to everything I needed while also providing a stunning view from the room. Honestly, the view was so beautiful that I didn’t want to close the curtains! The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep after a busy day. Breakfast was decent, offering a good variety, though nothing extraordinary. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely recommend it for its perfect location, beautiful views, and comfortable amenities.

Excellent central location downtown Bergen within walking distance of every sight, train and tram stations, and 2 minutes from the Information centre. We walked all over Bergen and Bryggen from the hotel and we are in our 70s and 80s. The breakfast was very diversified and good quality. There was access to coffee and tea 24 hours a day. The staff were very friendly. Wifi service was good

There was no closet in the rooms so that we could not hang our clothes. We had access to metal shelving where we could store our clothes. It was not possible to control the temperature in the room, regardless of the thermostat which was ineffectual. The shower arrangement is such that the bathroom floor got wet almost all over every time we took a shower.

OMG! Where do I start? Due to a flight delay and missed connection, we got to the property in the evening. We had communicated with Matilde as we were given new information. Upon arrival, a wonderful young man named Jonas informed us they upgraded our room because they sympathized with our situation. That alone would rate a five star rating, but it doesn’t stop there. Room is exceptionally clean, comfortable. The breakfast? Exceeded any and all expectations of properties that ‘include breakfast.’ Staff in that area? They were phenomenal and go above and beyond every day. Location is as good as a Bergen visitor could ask for. You are literally at the jumping off point to just about anything. Which brings me to the best part about this property; their AMAZING STAFF! All the concierges were insanely friendly, helpful, made great suggestions and offered many options on a variety of things. I cannot stress their kindness enough. A heartfelt thank you to all of them.

Rare but cannot really say anything negative about this property. You can tell it’s run well, staffed well and their prices are more than fair. What else can I say?

The room does not have air conditioning and it gets too hot in the room inspite of keeping the windows open - the facilities say Air conditioning but the maintenance team said the air conditioning was not working so it got very uncomfortable in the nights and we asked them to shift the room to the front side but they said that family rooms were towards the back which I thought was weird for the price we paid. We asked for fans and they gave us. also the rooms don’t have a safe nor a phone to contact reception.
