Location and view was excellent. Was initially given apartment with no view despite booking and discussed with front desk who then switched us over. Make sure it’s documented clearly if not booking directly with hotel re: apartment w view! They initially didn’t honor it and luckily switched after check in!

Offering apartment with view on booking.com should be honoured even if not booked directly with them! I pointed this out initially and they still gave me an apartment with no view…

The staff member that greeted us at the hotel around the corner was quite rude and very unhelpful. We arrived a couple of hours early and asked if we could leave our luggage until check in later (which is pretty standard at hotels around the world). She just said no. She said our apartment was ready, but we would have to pay a fee to get our keys early. When we asked for a map and directions and she was very unclear and said “it’s just up the road”.

Stylish hotel. Superb breakfast. Excellent location short walk from central station and immediately opposite the famous fish market.

One elevator not work so everyone including service staff using one small elevator. Rooms stylish but do not have a kettle to make a drink.

I recently stayed for two nights at Magic Hotel and Apartments Kloverhuset, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The location is absolutely perfect, offering easy access to everything I needed while also providing a stunning view from the room. Honestly, the view was so beautiful that I didn’t want to close the curtains! The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep after a busy day. Breakfast was decent, offering a good variety, though nothing extraordinary. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely recommend it for its perfect location, beautiful views, and comfortable amenities.

OMG! Where do I start? Due to a flight delay and missed connection, we got to the property in the evening. We had communicated with Matilde as we were given new information. Upon arrival, a wonderful young man named Jonas informed us they upgraded our room because they sympathized with our situation. That alone would rate a five star rating, but it doesn’t stop there. Room is exceptionally clean, comfortable. The breakfast? Exceeded any and all expectations of properties that ‘include breakfast.’ Staff in that area? They were phenomenal and go above and beyond every day. Location is as good as a Bergen visitor could ask for. You are literally at the jumping off point to just about anything. Which brings me to the best part about this property; their AMAZING STAFF! All the concierges were insanely friendly, helpful, made great suggestions and offered many options on a variety of things. I cannot stress their kindness enough. A heartfelt thank you to all of them.

Rare but cannot really say anything negative about this property. You can tell it’s run well, staffed well and their prices are more than fair. What else can I say?

The location is wonderful. Right in the heart of the centre of Bergen and within walking distance of all that this beautiful city has to offer. In addition, our room had a stunning view over the city, the sea and up to the mountain. We absolutely loved it. The hotel is modern, clean and attractive.

The breakfast was extremely disappointing. The food that should have been hot was either barely warm or stone cold. The baked beans, for example, tasted as though they were straight from the refrigerator. Likewise the fried eggs and tomatoes. This was the case on all three days we were there. Regardless of whether we arrived at the start or the end of the breakfast period. It really was awful, I’m sorry to say.

Magic Hotel and Apartments Kloverhuset is situated very conveniently in the city and have a wonderful view of the harbour, overlooking moutains and the UNESCO harbour and residences up on the mountain. It is a very beautiful and peaceful sight, seeing many people walking across and around the harbour and restaurants. It is also near to many eateries, shopping belt. Great location! We get to see the effect of the sunrise and sunset on. the UNESCO sights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is reasonably size, we were able to open up two 30" luggages and still have walking space in the room. There was a coffee machine in the room, however cannot boil water with it. There was also a fridge in the room. We have a very lovely room. The breakfast spread was good and have a nice simple spread. There was hot and cold water, coffee and tea bags at the lobby for guest to consume or to bring back to their room.

There was no facial tissue box in the toilet, no door bell. No kettle to boil hot water. The room was not very brightly lighted because the standing lamp was not working, but then I did not inform the front desk. The bathroom and toilet is elevated and have to take a rather high step to go to the bathroom and toilet. May not be good for people who have knee issue.

The hotel is well located for accessing key tourist sights in town. The breakfast was ample and tasty. The bartender was quite helpful.

We were checked in by someone who is either new and poorly trained or simply in the wrong business. The other attendant overheard our less than cordial welcome and sketchy information regarding reaching local places of interest. Rather than jump in and correct her colleague, she followed us to the elevator and gave a friendly welcome and great advice regarding food and entertainment. I wish I had caught her name. She deserves a bonus.

Great property that is conveniently located just across the Bergen Harbour. All the sights are within short walking distance. The room is spacious and had a good view of the harbour. Room size is significantly bigger than the usual in Europe. It was also very clean. Breakfast was also good with plenty of option for hot and cold items. On check out day, since our flight was still at 8pm which is way after the check out time, the hotel stored our luggage without any issue or fees while we went for our fjord cruise. After our cruise and after walking around the city, we stayed a bit more in the lobby before heading to the airport and the hotel has a self-service free coffee and tea available in the lobby for guests like us which is a very nice touch. Overall really great value for money. Will highly recommend for anyone staying in Bergen.

Do not stay anywhere else if you are in the Bergen area! The hotel was very modern, the rooms spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The breakfast is outstanding! The staff is wonderful, they upgraded me to a suite for free just because I was staying for so many nights. Even when I admitted to them that I made the mistake of booking for one night short and was going to have to spend the night in the airport, they were so kind as to extend my stay another night for free. The location is outstanding, a very short walk to any main attraction and located pretty much right on the water. Has all the amenities you could want!

Nothing against the hotel, but there is a nightclub not too far away. Just something to be aware of on weekends/ if you are a light sleeper!
